Hi Terry , Its the company Imile that they use , We have stopped using Aliexpress as we are a Australian manufactuer , and need small ticky tac components, But have given up using Aliexpress , becuase of the couriers they use , we have even provided CCTV evidence , of gear not been delivered , And they say is we checked with Imile and here is a picture of your front door showing a time and date. ( which shows just that and no goods ) we took it up with pay pal , they didn back us , so we took it up with Amex to which pays pay pal , and finally they belived us and refunded us the money. I suppose all we can do is tell everyone our story and maybe the message might get thru

Hi Shaun, I know there are a large number of consumers who really detest AliExpress and have a good reason to feel this way. I just raise the matter with them daily and will not go away until I get refunded. Once that occurs I will delete everything I have and not think about it again. Wish Consumer Affairs would list them as Scammers and deny them access to the Australian Market Place. Thanks for your answer.

G'day John. I suspect that you are right that no one cares. What I gather they are is just a site that all of these Chinese manufactures pay to have their products listed on Ali and they pay when items are sold. However, your contract of sale is with Ali so pester the hell out of them until you get sorted out. Not sure what country you are from but if it is a Western country, there will be consumer laws to support your claim. Find out which statutory ornanisation deals with this and threaten Ali that they have "14 business days" to resolve your issue or you will be raising a claim against them. I still don't think you will get satisfaction but you have nothing to lose. Just NEVER deal with these rogues again and tell everyone you know.[ The more people warn others about them eventually (hopefully) it impacts their business. All the best

Darren... i am in AUSTRALIA.....the problem is that the seller does not understand the technology that they are selling...The satelite reciever will only recieve satelite signals only ......the other type will recieve , satelite and terestile...which is land base antenna.. but on my reciept said it does

It has been months of negotiations still no aggrement from them ...to return the wrong item it is going to cost me $34.50 or $ 49.50 express postage ( australian) and it seems like i may have to pay additional money or the right item as well .....very dificult for me to comunicate with them owing half the time ....they say... " DONT KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN..... or do they ???

HI, yes you can buy online, just make sure you select the correct shipping to Australia, if you pay with paypal it will use your paypal address for shipping, you will need to change the ship to address to where you want it shipped to in Australia (some sellers ONLY ship to a paypal address (you can add additional shipping addresses in paypal I think)., remember if it is too cheap, its probably a fake, so dont buy the ridiculous cheapest items. cheers happy shopping

I think Chris answered your question well, but why, you would want to buy from them I do not know. You just have to look at the ratings on Product Review about AliExpress, surely that is a deterrent with all the problems and difficulties. I would use ANY other online site because they couldn't be as bad as them, with my experiences I will never use them again.

Thanks Gremlin but as I have said I have not had any issues to date and have ordered in excess of 100 items mostly of small value. You have obviously had a unsatisfactory experience using them. I agree however that the Reviews they run with products are useless and seldom give useful info.

not sure if its a scam sounds like it, if you have an IOT camera, there are heaps of free software out there for PC, what brand is the camera, use brand name to search for free software in google.

Yeah thanks Dan, I agree, I think they know exactly what they are doing. If they didn't they would have apologized and amended the ad description by now. They know their little trick works - if people don't complain they end up paying $23 for a USB cable. If they do complain the shop sells a usb cable for $10 to someone who didn't want it. You should post up your comment so they can see it. fu. ck them as you say heh heh.

It's an open market much like eBay (which also has a similarly bad rating in here) - that means that whether or not you get scammed will be entirely dependent on how knowledgeable and tech-savvy you are. I've purchased dozens of items and have had good experiences with all of them, but it comes down to filtering out the bad sellers from the start to begin with.

In an ideal world Ali Express would be doing a much better job of removing bad sellers so that even people who are less literate in the cyber space can have an easy time avoiding scams (and I'm sure Ali Express is trying), but it is what it is.

Can you provide tips on how to filter out the bad sellers from the good ones? As in what to watch out for, I. E. certain pricing models, deals, shipping costs, etc?

Check the rating is at least 88% or higher for the seller - the higher usually the better. Look how long the seller has been operating and how many of the item they have already sold. Check the reviews for the item you want to buy. Are there quite a few reviews from different people that look like someone actually ordered the item and wrote a review or are the comments just generic or is there just a star rating and no review? You should go for sellers with real reviews of the item. Often you will find that the most reliable seller & cheaper good option has sold lots of the item while other less reliable or newer or more expensive sellers have sold few of the items because other buyers have learned what to look out for and buy more from the better sellers. Also, I usually stick to lower cost items ie $25 or less. Also, you need to keep an eye on the tracking for items and as soon as the latest delivery date passes, lodge a dispute direct with Aliexpress if the item has not arrived. Do not go to the seller as they will try and tell you to keep waiting (and the time to lodge a dispute will pass and you will miss out on a refund) or try and offer you less than a full refund. Lodge the dispute with Aliexpress and if the seller then wants to try and offer you less than a full refund reject it. Aliexpress will then step in again automatically and provide a full refund for the item + postage. It is good when lodging the dispute to state the date when the item was ordered, the date it last moved anywhere and the latest date it was due to arrive (this is usually on Aliexpress under tracking for the item) If you want you can often get more tracking info by using www.17track.net You can save a screen shot as a jpg and attach it to the dispute if there is more valid info available there to strengthen your claim. It can also be a good idea to film yourself opening any packages in case of damage or items missing - you can use the video as extra proof if something is damaged, missing or not as described. Also, make sure you read the description of the item closely - especially under the Specifications tab on the ad as they can often show an item that you think is huge but when you check the specs it is actually much smaller - check any measurements with a ruler so you know what you are ordering. Also, when they are selling multiple items on the one ad make sure you are picking the correct option eg you can buy ukulele stands and guitar stands on the same order, one is obviously much bigger than the other, you need to check you have clicked on the correct one - they don't have to give you a refund because you ordered the wrong item.

Fed have no power to shutdown the ALi site in Asia etc, as a rule you do not have any warranty rights that can be enforced from an overseas company, you are relying on good faith shopping OS.

I have had the same experience. It's extremely difficult to get a refund. I sent back a jacket that was too big for me, and tracking clearly shows that it's been delivered, but Aliexpress won't confirm it. Their Live Chat is a mickey mouse operation designed to make you give up.When I get in touch with them via online chat, I keep having to repeat the same thing over and over again (going around in circles). I was told by the Chat Agent I would receive my refund within 1-3 days. Im still waiting, and that was a few weeks ago. Very unethical. I have ordered a lot of things from them over the years, so youd think that would stand for something. 98 % of my experiences with them have been positive, but it would appear - 'don't dare ask for a refund' if the size is not right, even though I've offered to re-order in a smaller size (I liked the jacket, just too big). This is despite the Sellers policy to refund.

Why do you use paypal or credit card and do a chargeback?

PayPal has resolved issues on my behalf with other sellers, that’s why I prefer using it.
