Made a mistake and ordered 2 cases with CaseBuddy without looking up reviews- the site looked good! But since ordering i have only received the email with tracking but it only shows as pending.
Items were showing as in stock and i paid for express shipping. Multiple emails with no response, no number to call. I did a ABN look up and couldn't find any contact details for the company.
Has anyone successfully been able to get their money back from them? Did you go through Vcat or the ACCC?
Not yet. I was just following the procedure on the ACCC website.
No, didn't get my money back. Put it in the hands of the Office of Fair Trading and all they managed to do is to get them to re word their ads. For me to take it further, I had to go through QCAT or take out a personal action.
Same boat. have received one item, but paid $139 for a $20 thing. It's like they create a tracking number before they even have the item. I stock my a... Upset I did not read the reviews first as well.
How do you actually get a hold of someone for case buddy??! They keep forwarding me the same email when I enquire.. pretty annoying, probably never gonna receive my order and got scammed

I agree. They appear to use a fake phone number, and currently the number listed is my private mobile number. I can't contact them also to get them to remove it but I keep getting calls from frustrated customers.

I have bought iPhone 12 cover as a Christmas present for my boss and still haven't received which is so starting to very much look like I got scammed by this wankers after paid $86. It doesn't even show in a system but somehow they managed to send me email saying shipped which gave a hope... so fucking disappointed I've trusted this site... please be careful everyone
On the 29/10/2020 CaseBuddy sent me an email stating that my shipment order CB79286 is on the way tracking number 33EVJ911372601000935004 . On the 3/11/2020 I sent CaseBuddy an email notifying them that I was unable to track my parcel, I did not receive a reply. On the 5/11/2020 I notified CaseBuddy that Australia Post did not have possession of my parcel, CaseBuddy did not reply. On Australia Post tracking website the status went from pending to its being prepared. I rang a number that was on CaseBuddy website as a contact and it proved to be false with the person on the other end stating he receives numerous calls from people trying to contact CaseBuddy the number is 0406281722. I have paid a $240.35 AUD for a product that possibly I will not receive. I would like some answers. Thanks, Glen Brown. nelgnworb@live.com
I am going through all of this, they should be reported. I have reported it to PayPal but I have to wait till the 11th April. Who could we report them to?

I too have a tracking number that Aust post don't have in their system. Case Buddy reply to my emails with - due to Covid there are delays... I paid extra for urgent shipping that doesn't exist

Hi I ordered a water proof life case that was supposed to have a free screen protector and all I got was the screen protector and a free stylus pen? I’m not happy and if I don’t get my life case soon I’ll be going to eBay and fair trading.
Go to eBay/ PayPal and put in a request for refund. I doubt that you will get your case.
The site is hopeless.

I too have a plastic iPad case delivered when I ordered an aluminium one as described. Case buddy now want me to pay postage back and charge me a 25% restocking fee! Has anyone,sobbed them into consumer affairs yet? If not I will.
I am having trouble with them still. I have sent back the phone case but in order to get a tracking number I would have had to pay nearly $30 and I had already wasted over $70 on a piece of junk. They insist I need a tracking number before they will pay a refund. I have enclosed all my details in the return package and all details about the purchase. I have told them they do not need a tracking number. I am quite happy to complain to the consumer affairs which I believe is the ACCC.
Hi Shirley, did you pay via paypal? If so what you need to do is firstly email case buddy and tell them you are returning it then get a postage paid with tracking bag and post it off. I then put a case into paypal for it to be resolved (provided them with tracking details) . I was happy to forgo the postage and just wanted my money for the case back but thankfully paypal was in my favour and I received the entire payment back. I believe they can only issue the full payment. Good luck with yours :)
I wish i had read these reviews beforehand. I also got the wrong product and when i asked for a refund they said i had to return it and pay a 25% restocking fee. This was after i sent them an extract from the consumer law. I'm going to make a complaint but the more people that complain the more likely they will be to take action against casebuddy. No, I have launched an investigation and claim through Paypal to have my money refunded.
I did receive mine (wrong case) and did eventually get a refund once I threatened to report them to the ACCC.
if you have any genuine complaints or issues and CASEBUDDY do nothing in a reasonable time.... then don't threaten them with ACCC... just do it. I feel even if nothing is done in ones own best interest because of hands being tied, then I am sure a file is being built up with ACCC... and when enough is enough, more serious action will be rendered against such companies who fail to comply to the house rules of applying decent customer service and returns and etc.
Hi, I never received mine. It has been 28 months.
I did eventually - the product was inferior, to say the least. The case ordered was a piece of junk - worthy only of the $5 one I could have got locally and therefore a lot sooner. The screen protector again was dodgy. Didn't stick. Fair trading eventually got involved and they will refund once I return the item, although I'm guessing I won't get the refund for the overpriced screen protector as it was in the bin 5 minutes after opening.
I have but it was a long wait.
Its more way expensive & it's not even fit on my new phone i lost my $90.
