Classic Pools Questions & Answers
VerifiedHow do I measure size
Hi. Does anyone know how long is the warranty period for a fiberglass pool from classic pool? Thanks.
They say 10 years
How long do the liners last on the extreme modular pool and also life expecdacy of the frame
How long do the liners last on the modular pools and life expectancy of the frames
Can anybody recommend someone who will replace and fit a new pool liner 9x 3 ASAP?
Kim the only person i know is the classic pools contractor himself Soren is his name. He knows his stuff even if he is a tad tricky to deal with.
Hopefully you dont have any decking overhanging the lip of the pool....
Pool liner had faded, pattern is still existent above the water line, wanted to know if someone would please contact me?. I believe it may have a hole because the water level keeps falling within two days and it never dropped that quickly before.
Hi Classic I think my Majestic pool is about 6 years old now and I have found a leak on my skimmer box (that has been cemented in by recommended installer). Is there any chance this would be covered in the 30 year warranty?
I am considering a modular pool. Want a concrete but can do pool and deck and landscaping quite reasonably.
It looks like many people were exciting after their purchase then wrote a review. Be interesting too see 1-5 years down the track if ANYONE is still feeling like their product lives up to their expectations still. 20k + is an extreme amount to spend on a pool. And do not want to waste 30k(with deck) only to have to rip deck up and have problems with warranty if something fails? I’m very hesitant. Thoughts from people? Should I go modular or concrete?
Hey anyone had a problem with the liner failing. Ours developed a fist size hole and the entire right bottom edge which gets the most sun has degraded to a thin easy tear plastic. It's five years old thought it would last longer.
Did anyone bother to answer you Rich? It doesn’t look like it. We just had the same thing happen last night with a liner that is only 3 years old. Seems extremely shoddy.
No, no replies. Took it up with Classic pools got a well worded reply including a copy of the original guarantee doc for the liner. Clearly it wasn't the first time they had to reply to my kind of inquiry. Basically if it doesn't split as you're doing the initial filling of the pool you're out of luck. One thing to watch is the 'generous' offer to supply you a new liner at several hundred dollars off their usual price in recognition of your inconvenience. About 3 minutes of looking on line and I found the same liner a few hundred dollars cheaper again then their 'generous' offer. Sorry I don't have better news for you, good luck.
Hi our pool cleaner came this morning to our just 3 year old 12.6 x 6.4 metre pool. As he started to clean the whole bottom corner tore and we lost over 120,000 litres of pool water, which then made its way down the paddock and straight into our stock dam. The bottom of our liner was completely faded, yet the sides still had patterning on them. Got the run around from Classic Pools as had been warned. Also received a very "generous" offer of a new liner. Truly. Our entire deck goes over the top of our coping and will have to be torn off. We would have to get someone to redo the liner. We had this put up professionally and has been looked after professionally. I could cry I am so dissapointed about this. How can you sell a product not fit for purpose. The warranty only covers the manufacture of the liner, not the material. What sort of a warranty is that. It's not a warranty at all, as it's the material that has failed. The sales experience was fantastic, but if we had any idea this would have happened we would have given it a miss I'm afraid. I fear there will be many, many more people out there that will suffer the same problems and its just criminal.
Hi Jean, we had our 10x6 teardrop pool for nearly twenty years. Still had the original liner. Sorry to hear you had problems. We are just about to order a 12.6mx 6.4m braceless pool. Hope we don't have the same problems you encountered.
Hi everyone, has any one installed an oval pool themselves got a few questions
We have just had one installed
Crappy Kreepy Crawler that classic Pools sent with ‘ KIT POOL’ paid enough for the pool and installation at least you guys could supply quality products. Takes me 3 days to clean the pool with the Crawler....absolutely ridiculous!!!! I have better things to do....steps also move, cinder blocks in steps aren’t good enough to hold down the steps and the rail was never installed!!!! Oh I forgot...I’m the owner builder right? Tried to get other Pool companies to help but they won’t touch your product or deal with your issues.....
I’m ready to send the crawler back to Hoppers Crossing and throwing over thier fence and making a complaint to the Ombudsman about service, installation and quality of product ( pool and filter and solar )
So if I want help C at Hoppers tells you to get help from other pool companies.....I want answers on we’re to find people to help install steps properly and also what’s the best Crawler ?
It's no different for us mate we have been treated the same and every other company has said the same to us won't touch there products
Hi there has anyone owning a extreme stainless pool had any fading issue with the stone pattern fading on the outer wall?
hi andy , fading yes lots of it mainly on bottom but yes on wall i also have crinkles on the bottom hoping to resolve i have been handballed all over the place, it has been that bad with stress and anger i've been sick and been in hospital through stress i'm wanting them to take pool away and money back and them to take pool away
skimmer box empties the fills over and over when pump is on ie not a costant flow. what can we do?
Check that the flap on the skimmer box isn't stuck and that it's free so that you don't get an airlock inside the pump. The water level must also be high enough. Hope that helps
I'm curious I asked them for a quote on an above ground pool measuring 6.8 x 3.6 or there abouts and it was going to cost me close to 25,000
Has anyone else paid this much for an above ground pool?
This also included council permits and fencing
Dealing with them at the moment....independent services all the way through....it's just a kit you pay for....fencing is independent, excavation, installer......all independent services....was told by Charlie that the fencing guy is awesome, called him, he came out then told me that Classic pools arrange it...????? I'm so confused because after dealing with them, being told that I'm the owner builder, why is it that all the independent services tell you to go back to Craig at classic??
Has anyone had issues with corrosion with their above ground salt pool? We purchased an above ground salt lap pool October 2012 then a few months ago a wall bulged away from the supports on inspection corrosion to the steel structures that the pool sits on all the way around.
Actually I was wondering the same thing...I've been thinking about the salt option but now I'm reconsidering since reading this.
We have pulled the pool down, corrosion has affected the entire steel work, really disappointed.
Yes exact same thing has happened to us this weekend. Not happy and not sure where we stand as warranty doesn't cover it. 9 year old pool well looked after. How did they help you with yours?
I was told it was the gravel around the pool contributing to the corrosion, we were sent replacement struts and a 3 metre piece of wall. We ended up dismantling our 18 metre lap pool to find all struts and steel are corroded, will contact them again. I will let you know what they say. Sorry you are having problems also, very disheartening
Hi, my pool is 14 years old and we haven’t had any issues like that at all. Can anyone recommend a good pool cleaner? I currently have a barracuda and I’m sick of it! I just keep’s getting stuck on our steps. Would be good to hear if anyone has one they are happy with.
We have had our Above ground Classic Pool (10mtr x 5.5mtr) for approx 10 years now. This morning at 8.00am, from inside the house heard a massive metal sound outside, ran out and one side of our pool had collapsed. I’m still stunned looking at it. I had been scooping some leaves out earlier before this hapenned, just glad I wasnt cleaning out the skimmer basket like I do every morning, I would have been crushed. Waiting for an assessor to inspect, but I have noticed for the last few years corrossion on the bottom of the 3 main upright steel supports ( or the thin steel covering). Have treated the corrosion and thought no more, might have been badly corroded inside as well. Very, very dissapointed.
Hi raywise keen to hear how you went. Our Extreme Classic Pool was meant to be “rust proof” and after five years one of the braces has failed due to rust. Looking at all other braces and they have rusted too. Apparently the colourbond and stainless steel interact and causes rust. Keen to hear how you went as it clearly a design/product fault.
we ended up getting rid of the pool. the replacement panels were not enough to fix problem. Interested to see if your problem is resolved. I did not pursue a resolution. Major job to replace all braces.
Response was "material and leaves" around the struts caused rust, apparently a "maintenance" issue. Very poor when they sold it as super "rust proof" material. Needless to say I am not letting it go.
