Hi,
My daughter has food intolerances and I have been on your programme and the foods are sometimes not agreeable with her. Can she have a diet that is going to work for her?
How much is it to do the programme please?
Many thanks,

I did Cohen's 15 years ago. I did lose a lot of weight but never got to my target. Over the years I have managed to remain within 5 kgs but over the last year I tried keto hoping to lose 5kgs then more to get to my target but that has not worked for me at all so tomorrow I'm going back to my 15 year old Cohen's plan.

I have a question...since being low carb/keto eating low fat feels wrong.

I'm going to eat Greek yoghurt for breakfast but not low fat...should I eat less? I'm really curious to see if it will make a difference

Personally I use full fat Greek yogurt (about a cup) as a desert on the odd occasion. I would use Vaalia natural for your daily yogurt. It tastes great and isn’t high in fat.

For memory it was $350, we don’t have clinics in SA so they offer an online version, personally it’s as good as the real thing at half the price. It will change your life

Hi, I’ve been told $700. Do you know who you spoke to for that price? Thanks

I did the program years ago and had great success, but put all the weight back on with pregnancy/post pregnancy. I’m planing on using my old plan to help lose some weight and I’ve noticed in my allowed food list it says tofu, but in my prescription there is no line in any of the 3 meals that includes tofu. I never used to eat it so I didn’t even realise back then when I was getting the phone support. I’m wondering what measurements of tofu people have? Just to give me an idea - seeing as my plan is out of date anyway.

Yes that’s correct, to be honest you don’t really need it. Just email them weekly. Programme works so well

I have just started the Cohen's diet and on day 5. Today has been the worst for hunger and I literally feel starving and all I can think about is food. How long does it take to get used to the 5 hours between meals and such small portions ? I'm very worried I'm going to give up very soon because I'm so hungry and just binge . Please help

Generally by day 5 your body should be starting to get used to it Kristin. Make sure you are drinking the recommended amount of water and having your cracker & fruit allowance. Hang in there - it gets easier and your body adjusts. If you are really struggling, get in contact with your clinic and have a chat to them. They are very good with tips and support. Get through the first week and it will get easier. I kept my fruit allowance (& sometimes my cracker allowance) to have between meals. This helped. All the best. You can do it. :)

Hello,
I did the Cohen diet over a year ago and was really happy about the result. However, I was not able to finish the program. I am trying to adhere to the program I had before but I feel like it’s not working out anymore. Should I sign up again now, would you give me the same program tgat you gave me before?

I am about to commence on my eating plan and I work permanent night duty. I am concerned about developing an eating schedule (times) and not always getting the required amount of sleep. Do you know of any other clients that have completed Dr cohens diet successfully who have also worked night duty?

Hi Susan, I did the program 10 years ago and lost 20kgs. I was working swing shifts at the time (5 days/4 nights) but still lost it all in 12 weeks. They key is being organised with your meal prep.
I gained about half of the weight back in the last few years (peri-menopausal), so got a new program early this year and am back to where I should be. The program is awesome and works wonders when you stick with it. No hunger, real and nutritious food and good support for the Cohens team. Good luck. Stick with it and you will reap the rewards. :)

Having a little read about Cohen's diet and how it targets hormones for obesity, I have adult acne (probably from my hormones) has anyone noticed their skin go better/worse on this diet?

mine cleared up and my eyes were brighter. Skin was beautiful!
If you stick to the program 100% and drink the water - should be helpful.

You receive a recipe book that gives you ideas with your prescribed foods. You'll get creative once you know what you like. It's very easy (one fry pan)

In what year did Cohen's commence? It has been many many years since I commenced the diet but kept the diet plan. It worked for me and have been amused because my notes on the pages were: Yoghurt, hated it but have persevered to this day. I believe it was about 15 years ago however other benefits did occur from this diet in relation to my well being.

I know it took Dr Cohens years of research to develop the diet. I don't know exactly how long its been around for.
I hated the yoghurt too. The high protein one from aldi I found the best with hermisita powder. I had it every day.

is it possible to have lunch or dinner option with eggs?

The meals are great. Yes you can have 1 meal per day with an egg option. you can choose either lunch or dinner.

Twist

In my plan I received 3 groups of meals with several choices in each. One choice in one group had egg. I had to have one meal from every group each day, but in any order, so yes you could have egg for lunch or dinner, but not both. I hope this helps.

Hi guys, I am at the end of week one and have lost 3 kg. I have 53kg to go and have been over weight for 11 years. I am wondering if thus is a diet with rapid weight loss that will create super loose skin. Do people dropping the large numbers typically get the scary loose skin on this diet?

1 answer
Brookster84

Hope you've found it successful. It completely toned by skin and body and I know people who lost 40-50+ kgs didn't have loose skin. Noone looked gaunt or sickly after the drastic loss that I saw. I'd suggest reading the success stories on the website. The pics will show it.

HI there, as you should have a few selections in meal 3 just do not choose Tofu. Yes it makes your selections limited but you can't have another protein equivalent.
