Why are there so many negative reviews over delivery delays and customers not being refunded, poor customer service and in a number of cases no response from EMMA Customer Service. These are the reviews that concern me as I was expecting at least to see 1 negative review on the matress, but could not find any which is a good thing, right?, but there a lot of 1 star ratings for poor service and business ethics

Our mattress arrived promptly but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the difficulty returning it. After many emails back and forth we eventually dumped the mattress at the rubbish dump as per the company request, with all tags removed. They couldn’t pick it up as we lived in a regional area. I received a refund for the mattress and the rubbish fee but not the transport cost to get it to the dump. Do Not Buy This Mattress, they are absolute rubbish, a glorified camp mattress as we called it. We ended up going to a store and buying a mattress, much better choice.

After our poor service we went to Sleep Republic. Very happy with both bed and ability to contact that company. They have a phone number and people who answer.

hi l purchased the Emma Comfort and an Emma topper about a month ago. Before l bought one l did ask the question because l wanted a medium to soft mattress. Even with the topper l feel like we are sleeping on a slab of concrete. We have not had a good night sleep since having it. Does it get softer over time and if so about how long as at the moment l think l need to return.

Hi, I received my king size Emma mattress 4 days ago. It is too soft and I have reached out to try to get a firmer insert. I got a reply saying ‘sorry my mattress is too firm and to keep trying it for a couple of weeks before getting a softer insert!’ I need a firmer insert and we cannot sleep on it another night as we both have now sore backs! I have had no response, maybe because it’s the weekend? Not happy at all

Have purchased an Emma mattress a week ago, partner loves it as he has no further back or neck problems, unfortunately the firmness of the mattress is keeping me awake at night. Tried changing the pillow .... Help ? Does the firmness relax a little with wear ? Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi I’ve just received my mattress. It’s in the dirtiest broken box I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t sealed with packing tape and the box has rips and holes all over it. I’m yet to open it to check the condition of the mattress but I’d like to confirm if this is the standard of your delivery? It doesn’t look new at all in fact it looks like a second hand box to me.

Order number - 2800215397 (Vishna) We have just got a king mattress. The delivery was nice and quick. No issues there. We have used the mattress for a week now. My husband loves it. But I find it too firm for my liking. I never had a sore back and now I’m waking up with a sore back. Is there something we can do? If not I’m thinking of returning the mattress. Other than that the mattress is great. no disturbances when moving. Sad that it’s too hard for me. Please help. If not we have to return it. I have babies to look after and can’t be dealing with new back pains. I would like to feel happy when I wake up.

So far I have not received my mattress. First it was in the system for delivery on 4 August, then I was told 5 August. It is 6 August now and I have no idea what is happening. Customer support offers its apologies, but no information about when my purchase will arrive. That is very troubling and because Emma doesn't have a phone number also rather ominous. My order number is 2800095294 and I am really hoping that putting it on this website something will happen.

Hello there, I have just received a phone call, telling me that I need to pick up the mattress myself from the depot in Wollongong, because TNT is refusing to deliver it because of the weight. The alternative, I understand, is to wait and see if they change their mind, which could take weeks, I was told. I am very, very unhappy with this. I have paid for the delivery and now I have to do it myself. Very, very unhappy, and I will make sure to tell my friends about this treatment. Best, Ingeborg

Hi Ingeborg, did you pay with PayPal? You have to make sure that you tick it is for you and not a gift, that’s what I have been told. PayPal guarantees to get it delivered to your place as long as it is not a gift!

Just picked up the mattress. The box was ripped, open and filthy. The man at TNT called me a F* B* for asking why they didn't deliver. Charming. So far, very little to recommend
