Back in February I ordered a lounge, dining table, chairs and a bed frame. It is now May 2022 and while when ordering I was advised that it would be mid April delivery for the lounge and bed frame. From then I just get regular automated emails to say that it has been delayed. It went from mid April to May to June and now July. I am getting over the excuse that it is due to COVID. You submit a form on their website and get no response. We have been living with COVID for two years. It is beyond a joke. They have had two years to revise their supply chain and work out a better way. They have taken my money but have not fulfilled their part of the contract. How long does one have to wait? If it was the consumer owing money then you would be hounding us but it seems the company had no consideration for their consumers. First and last time buying with Freedom and I have to fit out a new place.

This has caused significant delay in our ability to manage shipping capacity and purchase of containers to ship a large majority of our upholstery ranges over the last 6 months. Our team has made significant steps forward in securing shipping space and are moving mountains to get our stock to us to be able to fulfill our customer orders and get them to your homes as soon as possible With this aswell all ports around Australia are filled and many ships are waiting around to be unloaded as there are no rooms at ports this has made it even more difficult for all retailers We understand your frustrated and trust me so are we. We do sincerely apologise for the major delays, inconvenience and lack of communication

We have recently purchased a Roundhouse MKIII white table and are having dificulty removing black marks from newsprint from the surface. The table is not damp when we read the paper and still leaves black marks on it. What do you recommend we use to clean it or protect it?

As this is dye transfer in a sense it may be difficult to remove, however there are a range of timber care products sold in store that should be able to help maintain your table. Kind Regards Jen

I bought 6 Brandon Dining chairs Black in December 2019. One of the chairs has opened up at the back exposing the staples. I filled out a warranty claim in November with photos attached and have heard nothing I attempted to call the store on may different days and the phone rings out. In desperation I have rang Chadstone store who said they have many complaints about Nunawading. Just want someone to acknowledge whether they received my claim and what will be done about it.

Purchased a Maddox Lounge on 29th July 2020. Had it delivered approximately 5 weeks ago. So disappointed. I have had a Service person out to have a look at the cushions which the piping on slips down all the time. He pushed the fabric down with his hands and said that's all you have to do! Great, I have bought a couch that cannot be used without having to adjust the piping on it all the time. The cushions are really uncomfortable and slip forward on the couch, every time we use the couch we have to adjust the sitting cushions plus lift the back ones up to push them forward . Quality is poor compared to the two Maddox single chairs I purchased a few years ago. I was also told they would get back to me after the Service visit on Monday 23rd November, said he would get back to me in a few days, thursday 3rd December, still waiting.

Is this standard across all freedom stores.

I was charged $69 for failed delivery I was then charged $69 for delivery back to depot I am told the damage is on me.

**Please note previous owner had a 3 seater leather lounge in the lounge room**

**im also happy with the delivery driver and team, just not the sales staff and being charged for something that hasn’t been completed or approved**

Driver was unable to get the lounge into the lounge room, deemed as unsafe or could damage the lounge and I would have to accept damages if proceeded through front door. I told sales staff the access and also previous owners had the same size lounge in the lounge room.

Apparently the onus is on me to know if the lounge will fit through a standard door way, I told the sales staff the details and they didn’t seem to think it would be a issue, on site I was told if they attempted through the front door and the couch was damaged or the house that it would be my problem.

I made a call to have the driver come back to my place and to see if he could attempt through sliding door, he accessed the area and said he would give it a shot, he made it through no worries but then at the next door he was stuck, and has scraped the hardwood floor.

Freedom has put this back on me saying that I accepted any damages to my house or the lounge, the delivery was failed and put back onto the truck.

I purchased a 3 seater Maddox lounge last wednesday 29th July 2020. The system was down and the girls in the shop couldn't print me out a receipt. Can this please be followed up and a receipt emailed to me at [personal details removed]? The ladies said it would be delivered in 10 weeks. I also purchased the warranty and kit and received a $150 gift card.

I purchased a brand new Macy 3 seater Velvet Sofa which was purchased and delivered before Christmas. Once I removed the plastic I noticed numerous issues, blotchy stains on the cushions, dirt and fabric imperfections. I contacted Freedom and they organised a technican to steam the sofa and remove the stains. If I had known that I would have asked for a refund right from the beggining. I was tild a freedom techincan was going to inspect he couch not clean it bt a third party ( he was lovely by the way and worked really hard to try and get the stains out) I am extremely unhappy as brand new furniture shouldn’t need to be steam cleaned, I emailed to follow up on my exisiting claim 3 days ago, no follow up call as of yet. I’m very disappointed with the customer service, I want a full refund and the sofa to be picked up as the quality of the product is absolutely terrible. Is there a phone number so I can speak to someone?

Hi Nadia, contact ACCC, external link . They will run you through the process of how to construct a letter, etc to try to get an appropriate outcome. If the letter fails then further correspondence with the ACCC is required. They are the government dept that backs up the consumer with substantial law backing them and are there to help you.

Please guys this company is rubbish! Poor sales staff are conned by wrong computer info and left to deal with it ! The employees arnt allowed to call head office to try fix or complain ! It's a very horrible mean structured place ! Like a school yard bullys ! Malaysia is a stupid idea ! As made it slower to arrive! 16 weeks plus delivery wait on 80% of couches guaranteed unless a very popular color and size like a beige 3 seater ! They have alot of problems with overseas contracts saying they can supply but get over run by freedom doing spastic sales then hold your money and make interest while u wait ! Fk em I've got nothing you cant touch me ! I did my time but worth it to know I took a few down ! It's the managers up and if you not a team lover your out ! They will find a reason ! Suffer I hope that company goes broke as its ripped of so many people! 1000s of stories ! Some people had nothing after 16 weeks its was broken then had to wait another 16 weeks! To a if your lucky a loan couch ! Dirty ones from shipping containers! This post is fictional and i take no responsibility for the said above comments !
