I'm in an Indian hospital with my son who required emergency surgery, I've just contacted freely and awaiting to hear from their emergency assistance team, unless they make a deal with the hospital to cover this we can't pay so I am hoping it all works out- I just read all the comments and hoping our experience will be positive- has anyone been in a similar situation?
I am happy to state that Freely and their partners world travel protection have been amazing- they paid the hospital direct, they have called daily to see how he is, ee feel very supported. It's still ongoing but wanted to update our experiences here.

I've been told by Freely staff that the "North America" option for your policies does NOT cover USA or Canada! Why have a North America option at all? Please explain this further so everyone knows not to choose Freely if they are going to Canada or America.
Just do not close Freely no matter where you are thinking of going. Atrocious waste of money, and everyone seems clueless…. Really strange, but they are making money out of it.

Freely don't honour their policies!!!!! I've reported this to the Travel ombudsman Australia. They can sort this mess out because my mental health cannot handle dealing with this company anymore. The stress I've been under since September last year is unforgivable and unforgettable. Thanks for nothing Freely and thanks for ruining my whole trip and possibly future trips because I'm never going to feel safe traveling again.
