why do you have to chase them up constantly two cartons off wine has so far dissapeared and if I haven't been persistently I have no doubt it would have been ignored
I was a very happy GWD customer for over 20 years but then noticed the service went from excellent to appalling so I checked and ownership had changed. I had 2 bad experiences, one concerning the delivery time, and another where the website processed my payment but nothing happened and then denied having received the payment. I had to get my bank to recover the funds. So as disappointing as it was, I will never use them again. I am now using Laithwaits and I am very happy with the selection, price, quality and service.
Not sure if you have heard, but the owner of GWD was placed in receivership last week so you may not be receiving orders not delivered.
We placed an order for nearly $300 on 18/2. We have still not received that order although we received a text on 8/3 that our order was 'nearly there'. On 9/3 we had a text stating our order would be delivered that day. When we logged into the tracking app, we were advised that the order could not be delivered even though we had been home all day. When we phoned GWD we were told that the delivery driver would phone us prior to delivery. On 10/3 I again phoned GWD and am now waiting on a return call which we were advised could take up to 48 hours. This is clearly unsatisfactory. We would like a more definite answer on when we are likely to receive our wine.
Only advice I can offer is to find a new supplier as I did. Very happy with Laithwaites.
