Hey all, I have a TM 60 and the door keeps going back up approx 5 cm after hitting the bottom. I can’t locate a weight limit screw, is there a way to fix this? I have reset the motor many times and lubricated the rollers also. Thanks.
Hi David. Sounds like your motor has lost it's limit settings. Old motors tend to start doing this over time without regular servicing (your limits and spring tension is adjusted and set on each service). Chain stretch has a fair bit to do with it along with a loss of spring tension over time. A service to the door should sort this out for you. I have also rang 1300959554 and told that Jim was not at his desk and that he would ring back when he was available. The guy was aware of my location and so obviously knows of my previous contact. Still no response to date. I'll try again later, it might be just a series of coincidental oversights.

I'm disappointed to have to return here but, you simply refuse to reply to emails! I asked back in May, and again a few days ago, for you to send me an official receipt for the garage door you had installed for me about a year ago and have been ignored each time. The contractor didn't have a receipt with him at the time but said that one would arrive in the post which has not happened to date. Brett, please send me my receipt and confirmation of warranty periods etc. as asked. As you would be aware, it is a legal requirement that any business in Australia provide a receipt if asked for by the customer. Your co-operation would be greatly appreciated.

Tried that mate, no reply just the same as before. My emails are going to YOU <Brett@gryphongaragedoors.com.au> as indicated in your first reply here. If that is the wrong email address to use then perhaps you should have given me the correct one, I have now made a cover and fixed it over the up and down buttons so that nobody can use the clearly marked physical up and down buttons provided on the door lifter again. The buttons are described in the guide (downloaded from the internet) as buttons to raise and lower the door. The fact that the same buttons are also used for adjustments to door does NOT make them exclusive adjusters that must not be used for anything else! If that were indeed the case, they would be protected from inadvertent use, by the manufacture. I appreciate that, due to how easily they get damaged, that you don't WANT anyone to use them and that's why, for sake of further argument, I have covered them. Anyway, that is not the issue here. I am simply asking for a receipt and written warranty, there should be no problem with that, surely?

This really is not a difficult task to provide a receipt etc and it would have been done IF an email was received. I sent you a copy of the emails sent to brett@gryphongaragedoors.com.au in reply to your private email request received from brett@gryphongaragedoors.com.au so I must have the correct email address, right? As indicated by the headers, the first was sent in May (which you HAVE acted on and replaced the low quality keypad under warranty after a lot of argument) which was again repeated as a reminder on 19/09/2020. Most people are aware that, IF an email is not delivered as addressed, a 'bounce back' notification is returned to the sender informing them of that fact so your claims of not receiving them originally are untrue. In any event, I replied to your private email request yesterday and sent them again. Are you claiming that you did not receive that either? If you didn't you need to sort out your email system. If you did then you are lying today in saying you have no knowledge of them. Please stop making yourself look like a fool, provide what is required by law without further tantrum, and I can have shot of you until something else comes up that you refuse to comply with

I am trying to program some new controls to the roller door,it has let me program 2 controls but won't let me do any more
They all have brand new batteries in them so that's not the problem
Also when I tried to resent My original control, I now press the button and the door won't start opening for about three to five seconds

9 years ago Gryphon Doors PL in Bass Hill NSW installed a colorbond manual roller door. It was excellent and i have had no problem with the product. Unfortunately, 2 days ago, I suspect my garage door lock had been tempered with. My key does not fit the keyhole anymore. I need to replace the lock. We no longer have an outlet in NSW, a possible solution for you is to contact a local supplier, they should be able to supply a new lock system and key set.

I will check and see what the answer to this question is today, I'm aware of the shady business dealing this company under its original owner was famous for. My door took 4 replacements to get right and it's still not the door I ordered or functioning to its correct working standard.
I've spoken to several staff with no answers and have now spoken and booked a service with the new owners. One point was told the service technician is an employee, always a bonus, but after booking was told, oh no were all contractors... So today I will see how the job ends and query The warranty, as I do have issues, as do most of the customers on this forum, I just hope the new owner and team Move forward and produce, supply and service correctly and for a long time, Also honour warranties...

Does Gryphon Garage Doors still exist, our door has stopped working after 3 years and I am now told that Gryphon Garage Doors does not exist. ASIC search has revealed that the company was deregistered in 2014 but still seem to be trading in 2016? Can anyone tell me how to contact the Gryphon Door Company that is still trading that will honour its warranty.
I have contacted and visited Perth office recently (around 2 month ago) and the address is 255 Camboon Rd, Malaga, WA 6090. Tel, 1300 578 705? Only thing is when you contact them, better not to expect any kind of customer service and any other good words!

how do I fill in the 10cm gap at the top of my garage door and 3-5 cm gaps down the side? I have had the door reinstalled by the installers and it works better mechanically so we didnt worry a lot about the big gaps but it is driving me crazy trying to keep the cold wind and air out as the garage is part of the house

hi david sorry about your experience I was a customer and only reviewed my dealings I had no complaints with gryphon but agree if you have rulings against them then legally they should fix them
He took me to VCAT without much conversation at all, and now I read he takes everyone to VCAT then doesn't abide by the VCAT rulings. Its a common thing with them. There are many people like me.
