Cost of domestic travel insurance
We are HCF members, what can you do to assist with travel insurance
Well priced Marge, we travelled to NZ last November. Got Covid last day n then sent claim to North Qld. Only gave us one persons claim, had to chase them up for the other claim. Just watch out for the nazi who took my initial phone call whilst fuzzy in in Christchurch hospital, not a pleasant experience. All others were pleasant to deal with though. Dont know we would choose them again. All the best

Can’t answer as I don’t know. I dropped HCF travel insurance because my flight booking was cancelled by the airline and I wasn’t informed and lost the flight. Wasn’t covered and it cost me a fortune to rebuy flights on the spot. HCF hung up, was on hold and was of no help at all. The service was dreadful when I needed them most
I'm a member of HCF health insurance, can I get a members discount for travel insurance ?
The discount is the reason I took this travel insurance. Problem is it is not comprehensive and has holes. Check every element or just check star rating of other policies and get that. I will never get HCF again

My wife and I are Ruby members and are seeking travel insurance that may cover just outside the norm in overseas holidays. We are keen bush walkers and are travelling to Canada to do as many day hikes over three weeks as possible, first in the Mount Robson NP in the Canadian Rockies, then travelling on into the heart of the Coast Mountains Alpine wilderness by boat plane to Nuk Tessli, base camp / cabins for some of best guided hiking and canoeing in Canada, while finishing our hiking adventure the old growth forests of the west coast.
I've fully read your Product Disclosure Statement and although this dose appear to be covered in Section C - Medical Evacuation and Repatriation, I would appreciate your confirmation that section C dose apply in such remote areas, dose your policy include emergency evacuation from the designated hiking trail due to accidental injury or medical illness even if this may include helicopter or boat plane recovery.

Does HCF multi city annual plan covers cruises operated/departing outside Australia?

Whilst on our holiday we will be travelling by motor cycle. It is a 1700cc and I am wondering if your travel insurance will cover us if we have an accident?
Hi Tracey, Thanks for your question. Under the general exclusions, there is no cover for any claim arising (directly or indirectly) because of the following: - Riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet, or without an unrestricted motorcycle licence that is valid in your country of residence, or with an engine capacity greater than 250CC or
- Riding a 4 wheel motorcycle even as a pillion passenger.
