John Cootes Online Questions & Answers
VerifiedI bought my modular leather lounge from John Coote furniture 27 months ago. I paid for extra warranty on the leather material for 5 years, was told any problems, leather would be replaced. Leather is now de laminating but I can’t get in touch with anyone. Does anyone know who to contact for this please?
John Cootes has totally closed down months ago. There is no company to contact any more. They werent very good with customer service anyway, given my experiences. I think your best bet is to get in touch with The Department of Fair Trading
trying to track down an El Dorado coffee table for my existing matching furniture. Warehouse out of stock. any stores had a display?
has anybody had problems with fading?
I bought the "Audrey" lounge just after christmas & the chair which is near a large, bright door faded badly after a short period- less than 6 weeks. I wish I had been told they were not colourfast. I would've kept the curtains shut till after lunch when the sun had moved. It was not even in direct sunlight. The customer service & delivery was very good

We bought a sofa bed from John Cootes a few months ago and we have just tried opening up the bed part for the first time only to find it doesn't flatten out all the way. The mattress and base are flat but the foot of the bed is raised up in the air, the whole bed on a 45° angle. Once we pull the sofa bed out, it doesn't go any lower than the original pull up and out. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

Has anybody had problems with mechanisms on recliner lounge chairs purchased from john cootes ?
john cootes sells crap furniture. worst customer service going. the store manager at tuggerah [name removed], told my mother she had no common sense because she didn't know to use car polish on a set of bar stools. don't buy any furniture from these scammers because you will be upset in the future, just read the rest of the reviews. the chairs were rusting on the chrome base after 6 months but had a 12 month warranty that they wouldn't honour.
We bought two with the 1st lounge they sent , absolute junk , they replaced them , same again happened , now have been waiting 3 months for a different lounge, that should have been delivered in feb ,,there service is not australian !
