I have no problem with the sensors doing their job but is there a way of reducing the volume when you get near an object like a fence/garage door or another car?

I asked the same question at 1st service and if the reversing sensor could be isolated when towing a caravan, the technicians didnt know or they didnt understand the questions mainly cause none of them could speak a word of english, but i havent given up

Hi just wondering if anyone knows how to disable the adaptive cruise control to change the cruise control to standard cruise control. 2022 d90 4wd diesel. Thanks

if its like mine you cant change cruise control to a standard setting, as soon as you activate cruise control the adaptive and range sets in automatically, but i have heard that other make of vehicles can have it disabled by the dealer when connected to a pc but dont quote me on that

Just over 30k Completed 12k trip last year towing a 2.7k 21.5 foot van with no issues Noticed since returning that auto mode gear changes are clunky, particularly 3rd gear Is it a simple software adjustment to fix it or am I cursed and have to live with it

Tried to use the inverter plug in the back seat area and the plug pushed into the console most annoying.

further investigation i found a 3 pin plug is required, the earth pin opens the slots on the negative and positive pins, what i did i found one of them piggy back plugs i disconnected the cord sealed the cable entry and leave the plug in the socket

Hi i am wondering if anyone has experienced the "cruise unavailable" whilst driving with cruise control on and why this message might pop up? Also only this morning, when i locked my car the radio turned on. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you.

Mine has done this several times- in the rain, and when it was frosty. Once was to do with the camera being frosty. I think it’s the camera. Because the D90s don’t have standard cruise and it’s a pain!

Thank you :)

Ditto on the ACC mine turned off several times with the msg unable to activate, turns out it was the sun shining directly on the windscreen where the sensors are at top middle, also the manual states reflective obstacles can cause the same, and cloudy days as well

The camera for the cruise control is behind the rearview mirror, facing forward out the windscreen, if it gets obstructed by water or condensation then it will disable your cruise control

Is there anyone who can share their experience with towing around 3t caravan and how the D90 handles it?

Max Ross

Simon is it a 3t van fully loaded? ( Tare weight + water-gas- fridge ( s) with food- personal stuff- recovery gear-gas bottles. Etc. Or a Lower weight Tare filled up to 3tonnes. Me! I wouldn't tow 3 tonnes with anything except an 8 tonne truck or GCM is bound to be very very marginal at best. Have an accident and you can guarantee the insurers will weigh every last item from the scene to see if that's the case.

Does anyone know how to remove the base of the rear seats so that when you fold them down you will have a flat and level boot area. Doing this would enable me to fit a fridge slide and a drawer in the back which would be great when we go caravaning around Australia

Has anyone had problems towing a van up steep hills. Mine has gone into limp mode . Appears the ECU unit stops the transmission from overheating. Again LDV can't offer a "fix" except take a photo of the dash gauges when this happens and I'm stuck half way up a mountain!!!! Otherwise I like the vehicle.

Our LDV D90 does that even without the caravan attached! We have only down 5000km and now they have replaced a number of parts and don’t seem to know what is going on. They (both LDV and the car place that sold me the car) say they have never heard of it so I would love your car place to contact LDV in Rockhampton Qld so they can talk to each other

SusieQ
SusieQ

Ours also will slow from 110km to 20km (quickly) while driving on the freeway in the middle lane with cars nearly running up our behind and abusing us for driving 20km along a freeway while we try and get off the road. Has happened a lot and we have it on video even FaceTimed the salesperson while it was happening, that was when they actually believed me as to what it was doing

gary timbs

Extremely disappointing It will give LDV a bad name especially as they seem to be unable to fix these issues.

Update! They have now had our new car for four weeks and they have sent reports to China as they cannot find the solution. They have replaced so many parts and the problems still occur I am off to fair trading now as this is ridiculous

Good luck Susie Q, thought I don't like your chances . Please keep me informed.

I'm looking at buying a 2023 model. Either the maxis Territory when it gets here, or the current D90. What are anyone's thoughts. .

I fitted a larger transmission cooler to my ldv t60 for towing my van in hot weather in the top of Australia. Have had no issues with the transmission sending the car into limp mode. On long hills I drop the ute into a lower gear and just plod up the hill so as to not rev the car to hard and overheat the engine as less air is flowing through to the radiator. You have a intercooler in front of it for the turbo so it will naturally heat up with the ambient temp to. If you understand how the whole thing works you will not break it and punish it to failure point, so go easy and get to the destination. Also check the actual weight you are pulling and have in the bed and the back seat. Overloading doesn't help either. 50,000 km pulling my van and no issues.
