Macalister Prestige Homes Questions & Answers
Is Macalister still trading? As we have entered a contract over 6 mths ago and paid our deposit but nothing has gapped still waiting for them to start had a lot of excuses an no action can anyone tell if they are still operating or if we should try and get our deposit back?
Hi Kylie, Macalister’s went into Liquidation on the 11th of January this year 2013. When you paid your deposit did they give you an insurance policy if so you can claim against that, otherwise I don’t think that you will have much luck getting your deposit back as the company is no more.
Really sorry to hear that they were still taking people’s money right up until they went under. We are still sorting our mess and it has been over 3 years now. We still do not have our home
You may need to contact the liquidators and go on the creditors list.

I don’t think they will be able to get you any money but if you are a registered creditor you may at least be able to claim something on your tax.
Good luck!!
Looks like he is trading again in Geelong has just launched a new website after what happened to my build this is disgusting
They are trading again under Sale Building Services. Myself and one other person I know of have had our money taken and our homes are not finished over a year later.
