Hi, I made a claim on a cash back promotion. I received confirmation the cash back claim was successful and paid into my account but I never received the money. I triple checked the account number supplied was correct. I have tried making contact through the online enquiry form and by calling but have yet to receive a response. The phone number gets no reply. What do you suggest?
Hi Shar, I received my cashback after about 6 weeks of it been approved mate, I’m not sure what else you can do apart from keep an eye out on your bank account and/or wait for a reply, I’m sure they will be in contact.
Hello Shar,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I will message you directly to resolve this matter for you.
I just had my mitsubishi heavy duty installed and will be using it mainly for heating in my insulated garden office. I want the room temperature to not go below 10 C in winter, so the night setback mode seems ideal. But how does it work? If I put the AC on night setback mode and then switch the AC off, will it turn itself on if the temperature goes below 10? The night setback icon is still visible on the remote if the AC is turned off. Or do I need to keep the AC switched on at all times for the night setback mode to function?
Hi Jacob, The unit needs to stay on. Night set back mode, like any other modes, is only active when the unit is turned on. The icon on the Remote control, indicates the mode, if the unit is on. Hope this helps but please let us know if you have any further questions.
I have one of the SRFXXMXA series. It was installed today. I want to use it mainly for heating. Not sure the kW of the model from the manual as it covers all models. In cold weather I want run the heater overnight at lower than 18, but this seems to be the minimum I can heat to, which is really too hot, especially overnight when I just want to run at a low temperature. Overnight mode is 10. That means its impossible to run the unit at 15 or 16 overnight? The gap between 10 and 18 seems pretty big! Can you clarify?
You should not have purchased this unit BIG mistake.
Hi David,
We've just sent you a private message to gather some details so one of our technical team can get in touch.
We had a 14 kw ducted system installed in October, we have had trouble with it from day 1, with all issues being resolved, with the exception of the noise. No matter which room you are in, you can hear it, can't sleep with it running as once the outdoor temp changes, it ramps up and disturbs your sleep....the noise pretty much dominates when you don't have other noise such as the TV. The company who installed it continue to say that Mitsubishi AC's are noisy and we have to put up without it. We wouldn't have gone with this unit If we had known how noisy it is and are waiting for our neighbours to complain now winter is on the way.......fortunately they are isolating in the country during Covid 19. What can we do to reduce the noise or are they really noisy and we are stuck with this?
Hi Janet, Really sorry to hear of the issues you've had with your unit. We'd suggest contacting our customer service hotline on 1300 138 007 or sending a video of the noise the unit is producing to us via our Facebook page so we can look into it further for you.

How noisy is the system
Hi Robyn,
Can you confirm which model you were looking at? You can see all of our products on our website and if you click on 'specifications' you'll be able to see their operation noise - external link
Ours is a ducted system and can't hear a thing. Very happy with it Robyn s
We installed 2 spilt systems SRK25ZSA-W x 1 SRK35ZSA-W x 1 on 14 Jan 2020. The 2.5kw in downstairs works well. However the 3.5kw in upstairs room is quite noise. It is very noisy when running but at time it goes quieter for a while. When I shut it down it has unusual background noise/sound "gi gi gi gi gi" and other sound before shutting down. I don't have that for my 10 years old air conditioning unit. The 2.5kw does not have these issues. I called my installer and they said it is common and they are the noise of the refrigerant running in hot weather. I tried this morning and it is 19 degree it is still noisy with that sound when shutting down.
The installer is too busy to come and said if I call mitsubishi then they will charge me. I asked then what is the warranty for? Can I ask anyone has similar issues? We choose Mitsubishi Heavy Industries because of its good reputation of quality and reliability. I can't turn on the air conditioning unit as it is too noisy and I can't sleep with that noise.
Any help is appreciated. Can I call for warranty for this case? Is it chargeable?
Hi Angela, sorry to hear you have these issues. Unfortunately I'm not an aricon specialist. I suggest you write to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia on their Facebook and chat with Glen. He is most helpful and am sure will sort matter out for you.
Hi Angela, Sorry to hear of the issues you're having. While all split systems will definitely make some noise when being switched on/off and while running, it's hard to tell whether the noise is normal without physically assessing the unit. I'd maybe suggest taking a video which clearly shows the noise and sending it to us via our Facebook page external link
Hi Glen,
Thankyou so so much. Will take a video tonight and sent thru. Much appreciated your prompt feedback.
Regards, Angela
During bushfires smoke does mhi inverta aircond take air from out side or is it best to turn off
Sorry Ken I don't know the answer to your question. Perhaps it's best to phone Mitsubishi. Interesting question though.
Hi Ken. All MHI systems (both split systems and ducted systems) are designed to recirculate air from within your home. Neither system takes air from outside so they are both safe to run. Most modern MHI split systems also incorporate a specialised photocataytic filter which does capture smoke particles. We also suggest to close all windows and doors to try and reduce the amount of smoke in your home.
Today I had to pay $225.50 for less 10 minutes even though still have full warranty cover but they said the service charge is not part of warranty service feel totally i was either over charged or been seriously ripped off how low does it get I can’t get it?
Joe, is the service charge from the separate installer, you possibly used, or from the Initial Provider of the AC Unit incorporating your install? I am now going to read more online about what the Warrenty does and does not cover. Sorry to hear of your experience.
Wow warranty service should not be charged. I just installed two spilt systems and one is nosiy with strange noise, only less than one month. My installer suggested that is normal and said if I call for warranty they will charge me. :-(
