I bought a1.5 ct diamond ring 2 years ago and diamond has fallen out. What to do?
If you have a receipt , take it back to them . We're yr given a certificate of the diamond , if so their name should be mentioned on it . Otherwise I would suggest going to Dept of fair trade ,if prouds does not acknowledge the purchase and the fault .
They certainly don’t seem to care about the products they sell, you could try head office and hopefully they’ll assess it and provide a solution but from my dealings with the strathpine QLD store I doubt it. Check you see if your insurance will cover it depending on where it was lost. Best of luck
Hello, If I purchase an item which is on sale at Prouds, gift it to someone and provide them with the gift exchange receipt, if for any reason they needed to exchange the item, would they be offered the Prouds retail price for the item, or the sale price that I paid? Thanks!
Does Prouds refit diamonds in rings.

If you did a direct debit payment you would have needed to put the store number, your name and layby number. That way head office can see which store the payment is for. Politely email customer service with details and they will contact the store to help get the answers you need. external link
Hi I'm so confused,I bought a 9kt diamond ring worth 1499 down to 799 I had to have it resized so it cost extra 80.00 Then I picked out to rings that were in sale but needed to be resized to w and y then they rang me said I cldnt have those rings after I had already paid all but 200 off I was shattered.i sold of just got money back and left it but I ended up picking out another one and because of the resizing she said it cldnt be any rings that where on sale wich I'm so very confused about and then the new rung cost 600 but said I cld have the ring for 450 but charged me 150 for the resizing for size w,how can the first cost 80 for resizing and this one is costing 150 and I cldnt buy any sale items I'm totally confused can u help me understand what went on.
Sounds like they wanted to make the ring from scratch for you as rings can only be resized a few sizes bigger or smaller to ensure the integrity of the setting. This would’ve been the $80 charge. ($80 up to size R 1/2 and $150 for bigger than R. Think of it as paying for the extra gold they are adding into the ring because it’s a larger size)
You might have gone while they were in a clearance sale? Clearance items often can’t be made from scratch.
The new ring you picked out must have been An active line that either could be made from scratch or resized. I think they discounted the ring to add in resizing or “extra gold” charge so you didn’t have to pay extra on top of the $600. Depends what size you wanted. I think they were doing you a deal!

Probably not, I am not too sure about diamond rings, but you may get a credit to the same value.
Stores offer a 30 day exchange policy from purchase date. Must be in original condition with original receipt.

I think it comes down to the stores, from my experience staff working at Prouds need proper training how to deal with customer queries.

I have to exchange products and not really happy with the service.. customer service is good but the policy makes me upset…I was not able to change because of the absence of manager in the store and I went today and exchange it . Manager ask me for licence and then my phone number ..

I have not seen those things written in Prouds returns and exchange with the policy..

If you need to go down one size, it will be $55. If you need to go up 2 sizes, it will be $85 or $100 to go up 3 sizes and so on.

Hi Julie, Prouds usually sells 9ct pendants with a complimentary display chain. Unless advertised to be 9ct gold & there is a hallmark, then the jewelry you are considering is either plated or for display purposes only. As a matter of fact, only buy jewelry from established stores, like Prouds, as online sales from obscure ebay stores, etc are more than likely to be 'not as described' or outright fake. Hope that helps.
Prouds does not stock plated items except for some infant pieces. Complimentary display chains are plated chains and are not designed for continuous wear with the pendant they are purchased with.
