Hi I’m planning to get my belly button oeirced and my friend had it down the day prior, she said it was good but I’ve looked at the reviews and it’s very mixed. I’m a little concerned on how it’ll go, would you be able to tell me anything? I’m also I type 1 diabetic I’ve looked it up and as far as I can tell it should be fine if my blood sugar levels are under control do you know anything about that?

Hi Hannah. If you'd love to get a more accurate idea of our reviews, almost all of them are placed via Google review. That way you can also Google the exact store you're looking to come into :) You're also very welcome to come into your local SkinKandy store to get a feel for the store and the piercers to make sure we're a good fit for you. In regards to your diabetes, so long as your blood sugar levels are under control (ideally with a HbA1C between 5-7), you should be fine to be pierced but that's something we'd discuss with you when you were in store. If a customer said they wanted to replace their jewellery with stainless steel or titanium that is easy to put in and out themselves and they bought 2 pieces, 1 minute later they ask how the mechanism works and after being shown, say that is way too fiddly and they don't want to buy the jewellery anymore. But the payment has gone through already. Would you, tell them too bad how sad we got your money now or would you return the money?

Hey skinkandy my daughter is going in to get her lower navel for her 13th birthday she is quite nervous and can you just tell me if it hurts or if there's anything we can do for it to hurt less thanks

Hi Taylor, We love the individuality of all of our customers! In saying this, you must remember that everybody is completely different so unfortunately we cannot predict how painful / or not / a piercing may be for you!

If your daughter has any other piercings she may be able to gauge from that!

Topical numbing cream can be applied if super worried, although not recommended. Please see your local pharmacist to discuss this :-)
