I have purchased the sleepmaker miracoil, does this mattress have any latex in it? I have a latex allergy. The shop attendant rang the company and they said it doesn't. Contrary to belief organic latex affects allergy sufferers too.
Hi Geraldine can you advise which model that you purchased and from which store. There would have been a detailed information card on the bed that advised what comfort layers are contained.
Thanks,

Has anyone got reviews on the Sleepmaker Allegra Plush Mattress?
Hi Michelle, we bought our daughter a double Miracoil Allegra ensemble at fortywinks 2 years ago when it was on sale at Fortywinks. She loves it and turns out to be more comfortable than our more expensive bed. We're planning to replace ours with something similar anytime soon. Hope this helps - John
I found it begins to indent where you sleep after 6-12 months, despite monthly rotations.
Can anyone advise...looking for a good mattress for my hubby and I. I am a lightweight (50kg) and my hubby is around 85kg. We have a firm mattress now. My hubby needs something firmer as he has lower back pain and I am the opposite I need something softer. Is there something out there that might be suitable for us??
Hi jenny
Have you found a mattress yet?I work for mattress experts and
I can help you find the perfect mattress for you and your husband?
Regards Rachel
No, I have put it on the back burner for a while as we have just done some priority house maintenance. Really, I am just doing the research and will focus more on purchasing in the next 6 months or so. What information can you share with us?
Jenny
In my main bedroom have a bed set with a solid wooden base. I would like to replace the old mattress (a Sealy Posturepedic) as it sags and is contributing to lower back pain. As a result of the back problem, I have been using the guest bed for several months and my back is feeling much better. The guest bed is a Sleepmaker Classic but it's on a box spring base. Can I put a new Sleepmaker Classic mattress on a solid wooden base? If not, can you suggest a good option so that I can keep my existing bed set? Or should I replace the bed set with a box spring bed? I need a firm or medium firm King single mattress. I sleep mostly on my back, though I sometimes sleep on my side. Many thanks for your advice. Helen
Hi Helen, I am not an expert but the bed manufacturers usually state the base should not have slats that are too far apart which could lead to the mattress not being properly supported but if your base is solid (without slats), it should be ok. Hope that helps Helen and good luck.
regards,
Caroline S
Hi Helen Thank you for your enquiry. Please read what we recommend as a base option below. Base Support: All our mattresses are suitable for slat bases. Correct mattress support is an important element in providing long
life for the mattress. Mattresses always follow the contour of whatever they rest on. If placed on any base that dips down, even
under the load of one or two sleepers, the warranty may be voided. Bases dipping or sagging allow the mattress to sag, causing
the top cover to wrinkle. Sleepers may experience roll together through inadequate support. Some slat/mesh type bases may
require a centre rail and a leg to the floor to prevent dipping or sagging, particularly in Double, Queen and King sizes. Timber slats
must be a smooth finish to prevent splinter and scuffing damage and be securely fastened to the frame at each end. A breathable
insulating pad or blanket over the slats is advisable. Slats must be no more than 8cm apart and at least 9cm wide. Slats over
14cm wide may cause mildew by not allowing moisture to evaporate sufficiently. Solid panel timber bases must have sufficient
air holes drilled to permit dispersal of moisture and prevent mildew. Bases must always be firm, even and supportive. A base that
is too hard, too soft, not supportive, or restricts air circulation may damage your mattress and void this warranty. We recommend
our specially designed matching base, that has been designed to enhance your mattress performance and durability.

I want a sleepmaker mattress. But all the major stores sell different sleepmaker mattresses. It confuse me!! Ive looked into... Indiana(myer) serenade and adriana(domayne). Im a side sleeper so I was thinking plush. Im 28. I weigh 53kg. Any recommendation? They all start to feel the same .....
I know how you feel. I tried so many models over almost 2 months and was very confused, but knew I always wanted/needed a plush model with my small frame and I weight around 50kg and had a budget I needed to stick to. I found Myer had the best selection and also Domayne, though tried many other stores. Myer also had the less pushy salespeople (Domayne was very pushy). I narrowed it down to 4 mattresses in the end, took photos and made comments about the pros and cons, then narrowed it down to 2 and tested them yet again. I ended up going with the cheapest one out of the 2 as there was not much difference in the mattress, but quite a difference in the price. The Myer sales lady also asked me if it was important to have the mattress top made out of a certain fiber as this is a big part of the decision making (ie: latex foam - can be a little warm in summer, but is very durable. There is also memory foam - remembers your body shape and lastly cooling gel infused - keeps you cool in summer, but there are reports the gel is made from toxic materials. Mine is latex foam and I found it much cooler than the previous Sealy I had and didn't over heat in summer and used a cotton mattress protector. Most important: take your time to lie on the mattress (a few minutes at a time is not enough) even if you feel people are staring at you and roll over etc, see if you can feel the springs, whether it is too hard or too soft for you or if it sagging too much that you fall into the mattress too much (will be too hot for summer if so). Hope that helps a little. Good luck!

Forget the Miracoil, go to MC Bedding at 8/111 Lewis Rd, Wantirna South. I've bought 2 beds there, both brilliant and both a lot cheaper than retail. Bought a new one when we moved last year, top of the range queen size Enviro Tech $1249 and it's great. Saw the same bed in a furniture store, twice the price. AND he only charged $50 to deliver it out to Yarra Junction plus gave me two free memory foam pillows. Check them out!
Howdy - ok thanks / them stores are nearby / I might have to wait till they on special / it doesn't matter which brand name of bed I buy as long as it's got a mattress with coiled round springs and it's a back care mattress / thanks again - cheers
Price on a king size sleep maker mircoil please
Sorry I can't really answer that question / perhaps you could try contacting a sleep makers beds and mattresses retailer such as David Jones stores or another stockist such as Harvey Norman.
How much does this bed cost?
I am sorry, I dont remember the exact cost now. I am sure it was about $800??? Perhaps google and see what is on sale.
Thank you for your enquiry. We reccommend you get this information from your prefered retailer as we do not deal with RRP. If you are happy to pass on your postcode I can direct you to your nearest retailer selling our Miracoil range.

No idea what they cost these days. I paid about $1500 about 20 years ago. If you want a good bed at a good price go to MC Bedding, 8/111 Lewis Road, Wantirna South. Have dealt twice with them recently and got excellent deals. Retailers only rip you off.
Which Miracoil mattress did you purchase- we are looking at buying a Miracoil Classic king mattress. We have steered clear of memory foam, latex and pillow tops- just hoping that a good inner spring mattress will be comfortable and long lasting.
I think mine has a pillow top but not a giant fluffy one. Or maybe that's just the way they make them now, with a bit of squishiness on top. Either way, it's super cosy whether there is one or two people snoring away in it.
I purchased a sleepmaker mirracoil mattress and base,10 years ago and is still amazingly comfortable, and still not sagging. We love it. We both weigh under 70 kg so perhaps that makes a difference. We are going to put it in the spare room and are buying another one for us.I think they work best as a system, with a spring base as well. A mattress meant for a spring base may not be the same on a different base. It also has a pillow top that I vacuum to keep it from going flat, which works well and I also do it to vacuum out dust might which builds up in a mattress and adds to flattening over the years.
I have seen the design of the springs and they look good so my advice is go ahead and buy one as them type of springs are great for the back area.
