Hi John, Black “tea leaf” particles in your pool is the result of the internal material breaking down and although the process is progressive, its severity is likely to increase over time and because of this I suggest replacing your heating soon.

I sent my pool heater to this company and charged 196 and the system still doesn't work . It comes up with 99. Help?

The roof sensor was only replaced last year
Tracey I have a similar system and the problem is usually the plug-in cable from the roof sensor to the pump controller. The contacts corrode. If you unplug and plug in the roof sensor cable a few times, it should reset and work. Hopefully.
