Can you have coffee with no sugar while doing the 2 meal replacements and still loose weight
Hi There Melissa Thanks for getting in touch. The great news is that it is absolutely fine to have tea and coffee when trying to lose weight and get healthy. If you are having a cafe-style coffee, like a cappuccino or latte, then we recommend no more than 1 per day. However, if you are drinking instant coffee, then no more than 2-3 cups in a day would be recommended. TLS Team
Is it possible for a Type 1 diabetic to use Lady Shake to replace the midday meal?
I think that’s something you’d have to run by your doctor. I’d take a photo of the nutrition panel and show it to them.
Hi Carol We have quite a few diabetics who use our shake due to it's low sugar levels and low GI carbohydrates. Our Shakes contains just 2.4g of sugar per serve, which is 10x less than some other meal replacement shakes! It has a focus on low sugar, high protein meals which will be perfect for you to keep your blood sugar stabilised. Our recommended meal plan is also created by our accredited dietitian with a focus on low sugar, high protein meals which will be perfect for you to keep your blood sugar levels stabilised. As you know, diabetics need a balance of healthy carbohydrates, good fats and protein which is what our shake is all about to keep blood sugar in the target range. With that being said we recommend consulting your GP or health professional prior to starting any weight loss program to ensure it is right for you. If you have any other questions, please let us know. The TLS Team
Is the caffeine only in the coffee shake as I can’t have caffeine thankyou :)
Hi There Siobhann Thanks so much for your email. The Lady Shake contains trace amounts of green tea extract and about 0.5mg of caffeine per serve. However, you would need to consume around 90 Lady Shakes to receive the same amount of caffeine you would in one cup of coffee. Our new Lady Shake GO! is a full meal replacement with the benefit of 125mg of caffeine so this would not be suitable for you. Please let us know if you have any further questions. The Lady Shake Team x
Can I still drink coffee and tea if I’m on the shakes and is the coffee shake decaf and can I start by having only 3 shakes a day
Hi, I don't drink coffee never have I hate it, I've bought the box of 14 that have 2 coffee didn't want to waste them can I mix some coffee with one of the other flavours ?
Hi Kathleen You can try adding chocolate to your coffee shake to make a mocha :)
I'm having a great deal of trouble getting through the Coffee shake. This is my first ever Lady Shake and I'm so disappointed. It's way too thick, has lumpy undissolved blobs and the taste is diabolical. I want to continue to push through but it's pretty tough. Any suggestions please? I use 350ml cold water btw
Add a scoop of the chocolate shake, with one scoop of coffee... You need to shake more to dissolve the blobs. I found shaking between sips helps...
I've just started the shakes this week. And I'm finding having 3 shakes a day with only one scoop each with 300mls of water, isn't so thick and still filling. Plus it blends better. And I have one meal a day. But I've also been really tired since starting. Did you have this problem also?
Hi Coral, Thanks for your feedback. We completly undertsand that the texture and taste may not be for you. We all like different tastes and textures but teh great news is you can change the texture and taste to make it more enjoyable for yourself so give them a try
You can add a handful of frozen berries, 1/2 a banana or some mango. You can also have the shake with milk to change the flavour. Unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk are best, but the next option is full cream. Steer away from skim milk as it is higher in sugar. You can slowly lessen the amount of milk over time.
If you find the taste is a bit overbearing, add natural yoghurt. hope this helps!
I find the powder dissolves better if you use a blender or a bullet, rather than shaking by hand. And for the coffee flavour ... add ice to your blender and it tastes like Iced Coffee.
Hi, could you please advise how many grams of coffee is in the coffee shake
If there are No artificial colours or flavours and No artificial sweeteners, can you tell me if there is real coffee in the coffee shake?? I tried the coffee lady shake for the first time as a dinner meal replacement ...yummm however stayed awake most of the night which is unusual for me.
Hi Julie yes the lady shake contains approx 137mg of caffeine so i would suggest a different flavour for bed xxx so happy you love our shakes as much as we do and let me know if I can help you further thanks
It would be a good idea to put something on the packaging that informs people that there is caffeine in the coffee shake. I couldn’t see anything on the packet so assumed there wasn’t any and drank it. My body is sensitive to caffeine and I get heart palpitations, the sweats and nausea. Now I feel terrible. Urgh. Never again.
Hey Hayley, the ingredients state that there is 8% coffee in the Coffee Lady Shake. If caffeine was not apparent, then coffee flavouring would have been used instead. Always best to check all ingredients list if you have an intolerance, but we apologise for the confusion and hope that you feel better soon.
