these and slimfast shakes from chemist warehouse that workout to be cheaper and you get an intire box instead of individual packets. The sugar content is high. Not really good if you are trying to lose weight. I prefer sweetener. They taste good, but that's probably because of the sugar content. Can't say I have lost weight yet. It's only been afew weeks. Hard to tell if it's just the shakes because losing weight has to combine diet and exercise also. Will come back and update if I I've lost anything more then usual.

taste slightly better than the Vanilla both are on the low side of sweetness but doesn't make my insulin spike so i don't feel the need to eat afterwards.
I began this journey at 75 kg and maintained a daily calorie intake of 1,200. I’ve been having two shakes per day — one in the morning and one at lunch.
Within the first month, I lost 5 kg and have since lost an additional kilogram. I'm aiming to lose another 5 kg over the next month if I stay consistent.
I haven’t incorporated exercise so far; I’ve focused on keeping my calorie intake low and drinking around 2 liters of water daily. The shakes tend to make me thirsty, but they do a great job of keeping me full

Worst service I have ever experienced from Australia - I travel there often and always comment on how the service in Australia is unfaultable compared to NZ - Lemon Detox have failed their reputation miserably. Will never purchase off them again, but now I know they actually do have a chemist here in NZ that sell it, I am sure they will communicate if I emailed them on where is my parcel.

completion I feel 100% better, physically and mentally. Afterwards I had a lot more energy and a heightened sense of clarity in my thinking. It’s important to only eat the foods listed in the meal program as they help cleanse the liver which is the end goal. Eating foods not listed will only offset the benefits from completing the detox properly and just defeats the purpose of even doing a detox in the first place. The biggest side effect I experienced was due to the caffeine withdrawals as I had headaches and body aches and pains for 2-3 days. This however was beneficial in showing me the effect that caffeine was having on my body. Afterwards I felt so energised I didn’t need caffeine to start my day, however for me it’s hard to break away from energy drinks which is why I do the detox semiannually. At $60 the cost is fine. Besides, you can’t put a price on how great it makes you feel at the end of it.

Mixes wonderfully and tastes great. Usually shakes taste bit bland if mixed with water, so pleasantly surprised. Do not find it too sweet and I usually do not eat anything sweet except berries and a little bit of 95% dark chocolate. Have since bought further two tins when they were on special. I have ME/ CFS and find it difficult to to find the energy to make BF so these shakes are great for that . Keep me satisfied and no cravings in between meals. Also find I have a bit more energy which is good. Only downside is the price, I do not work, due to my health so this is a big layout for me. If they lasted longer it would be better. Came beautifully boxed .I was wondering if it came without the fancy packaging maybe they could be cheaper. I know the ones I purchased from a Chemist were just the tins and much cheaper.
Still too early to tell if I have lost any weight. Hard for people with ME/ CFS. I already eat a nutrient dense healthy diet with no processed food. I know my nails are mush stronger and not breaking easily as before. I would have given the product 5 stars if a little bit cheaper.

vanilla.
Two or three stubborn kilos have crept on over the last few months and so I was keen to try a palatable low calorie-but-filling meal replacement option for evening meals on the nights when I'm looking for something other than my delicious home made soup.
In February last year I tried OptiSlim LCD Life Shakes but found that I actually gained weight, so they went into the bin!
So far I've found the IsoWhey Plant-Based Meal Replacement Shake to be quite ok when whizzed with 350 mls of low-fat lactose-free milk. There's a slightly grainy mouthfeel towards the end of the shake but otherwise the texture and flavour are pleasant enough. I should mention that since having these plant-based shakes I've been experiencing headaches, but I'm not sure if I can pinpoint the cause to this product just yet. Time will tell.
My husband has also tried the plant-based shake with almond milk (as suggested by the maker) and he reports that it's tasty and filling. Good to hear, as he's usually quite fussy with these things.
The IsoWhey Optimum VLCD Shake + Collagen is one that you blend with 200 mls of ice cold water. I'm enjoying the texture of this much better than the plant-based one. It's smoother, tastier and I would even go so far as to describe it as silky.
Early days yet and we're only having one a day here and there so I cannot report on any weight loss yet (or gain, hopefully not!). But I will update this piece in the fullness of time. No complaints thus far.

become expensive so I bought just the shakes to keep me going and strangely I have found that these shakes have helped control my seizures, I was taking the highest dose of medicine prescribed to me and a few months into the program I came down to my lowest dose which my neurologist is amazed by this too . I have had less seizures which is clearly a miracle considering they went from weekly to now hardly ever. Without drinking this everyday I notice I become shaky and weak. I dont care about the weight anymore I drink this daily as if its my medication. If your contemplating to use this for weight loss do it but also remember when loosing weight its 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. You need to cut down your sugar intake, eat more meals in order to help achieve your desired weight. Highly recommended

What can I drink to lose weight fast?
It’s important to note straight off the bat that there is no miracle cure for reducing belly fat or other body fat overnight. Even though some weight loss drinks claim to be fast working, no product will give you instant results.
Progress takes patience, and will likely also involve trial and error in finding the right weight loss drink for you, as everyone’s body is different and may respond differently to the same ingredients.
Don't only rely on weight loss drinks
Weight loss drinks won’t be effective when used in isolation. They should be one part of a structured weight loss program, taken along with regular exercise and healthy meal planning. If you’re not sure where to start, a doctor or dietician can help you find the best weight loss program for your individual needs.
Weight loss teas
Teas for weight loss include slimming teas, which claim to increase fat burning, boost metabolism and suppress appetite; detox teas, which remove toxins and promote weight loss; and fit teas, which aim to boost energy levels. Some products have multiple purposes, for example the Bondi Beach Tea Co. B-Slim Tea is both a detox and fit tea.
Weight loss teas are made using a blend of tea leaves, which contain caffeine, and herbs.
The benefits
When it comes to weight loss teas, the products that contain green tea extract are the most effective. Green tea extract for weight loss is high in antioxidants known as catechins. These cachetins can be beneficial in burning fat and boosting metabolism, if you also exercise regularly at least 3 times a week.
When catchetins (particularly one called EGCG) are combined with caffeine (which occurs naturally in green tea) the effect is increased. Fat broken down from fat cells can then, ideally, be used as an energy source.
The side effects
Diuretics
Many weight loss teas contain diuretics, which make you urinate frequently. As a result, any short-term weight loss may be caused by losing water weight, instead of losing fat. This can cause you to become dehydrated and have an electrolyte imbalance, and isn’t actually resulting in sustainable weight loss. Drinking water to stay hydrated is important when you're trying out a new weight loss tea.
Laxatives
Other teas contain laxatives, and considering caffeine itself is a laxative, this can get uncomfortable. These ingredients will loosen your bowels, and have you going to the toilet more often - but, again, you won’t be losing fat.
Sometimes laxatives may come in the form of seemingly innocent natural ingredients. For example, senna is a herbal medicine often used to empty the large intestine before surgery. When drunk in a weight loss tea, it can cause pain, stomach cramps, diarrhea and even liver damage.
Other natural diuretics, like hawthorn, juniper, and hibiscus, may be okay in very small doses, however it can be difficult to know when you’re overdoing it, especially if it’s recommended that you drink the tea more than twice a day.
Weight loss shakes
These are also known as meal replacement shakes or liquid meal replacements, as they’re designed to be substituted for 1 to 2 meals per day. They contain a lower amount of calories than in a typical meal, with the aim of putting you into a caloric deficit to promote weight loss.
Most weight loss shakes have around 150-350 calories per shake, with options towards the higher end of the scale often including milk products and/or some form of protein.
The benefits
Weight loss shakes can be a quick and convenient way to lose unwanted kilos in the short term. You don’t have to worry about portion control or making sure you’ve satisfied your nutritional needs. You just dump the recommended amount of powder into some liquid and drink it.
Shakes still may not taste as great as a freshly cooked meal, but remember you don't have to substitute every meal. Even replacing one meal a day with a shake can lead to results.
The best weight loss shakes make you feel full, and also stop you craving snacks in between meals. If you find yourself still feeling hungry, you can increase your shake serving or find a more calorie-dense option.
The downsides
Everyone’s body will have different requirements in terms of how many calories they need per day, depending on factors like their age, gender, height and body weight, as well as lifestyle factors, like the frequency and type of any exercise undertaken.
While the aim is to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight, you can have too few calories in a meal replacement shake. When this happens, you’ll still feel hungry after drinking a shake, and could turn to snacking to make up the difference - which isn’t going to help you lose weight.
Weight loss shakes aren’t intended to be a long-term solution to curb weight gain. Eventually, you’ll transition back to eating full meals. Unless you have a healthy eating plan in place, it can be easy to jump back into old habits of overindulging, especially at restaurants or parties.
As less common but potential side effects, drastically decreasing calories can sometimes result in the reduced absorption of some nutrients, a slower metabolism and an inability to know when you feel full or not.
Since weight loss shakes often don’t contain fibre, it’s also recommended that you have at least one meal a day with fibre in it, like a high-fibre breakfast cereal.
Weight loss supplements
Weight loss drink supplements come in the form of liquids, or powders that you dissolve in liquid. However, there are also weight loss pills.
They contain a variety of ingredients, such as herbs, minerals, vitamins, fibre and sometimes caffeine. Their purposes are also varied, and include suppressing appetite, stopping fat or carbs from being absorbed, or boosting metabolism.
Detox and Cleanse products
Detox diets are intended to remove toxins from the kidneys, liver and colon, including sugar, fat and alcohol. They may be a tempting option after a period of unhealthy eating, like holidays or after lockdown. Many detox options for weight loss are detox teas.
Products that promote a cleanse are designed to remove a particular food or group of foods from your diet to aid in weight loss. Examples of cleanses include removing acidic foods, allergy-inducing foods, refined sugar, dairy or alcohol.
Detoxes and cleanses are short-term options, and usually last from 1 to 30 days. Often, weight loss is considered a positive benefit, rather than the primary outcome.
Other things to consider before buying a weight loss drink
Taste
Weight loss drinks are usually flavoured to make them more palatable. You may think that you can just pinch your nostrils together and bear the taste. However, if you’re drinking a shake instead of the majority of your meals in a week, a drink with an unpleasant flavour or aftertaste will make sticking out your weight loss goals much more challenging.
Brands that offer sample packs or small sizes can be helpful in allowing you to select a flavour that you enjoy, or at least don’t mind.
Some reviewers of shakes reported adding a few extra treats to help them look forward to their drinks more. This included milk, fruits like mango, bananas and berries, and peanut butter.
Value for money
Typically, meal replacement shakes are the most expensive weight loss drink types. Since they replace meals, you’ll save money on your grocery bill by paying for a shake instead.
There are still wide price discrepancies between different brands. For example, a shake from BODi will cost you around $9 per shake, while The Man Shake and Lady Shake are around $3 per shake, and a single-serve sachet of ALDI’s Slim & Trim shake is $1.99.
However, the price has to be weighed up against whether the shakes actually work for you - if you’ve found a winner, you may not mind paying a little extra for a product that effectively helps you lose weight.
Ingredient safety
If you’re experiencing side effects from a weight loss drink, such as headaches, nausea, or a racing heart, it could be that the high concentration of a certain ingredient - for example one containing caffeine - is giving you an adverse reaction.
Always check the ingredients first to make sure there isn’t an ingredient that won’t sit well with you. If you’re on any existing medications, check with your GP that a particular weight loss drink won’t clash with the medication or aggravate existing health conditions. For example, the high amounts of caffeine in many weight loss drinks are generally not recommended for people who experience IBS, high cholesterol or high blood pressure.
You might not have any existing conditions or concerns, but would prefer no hidden nasties in your healthy drink. It’s possible to source weight loss drinks that contain no artificial colours or flavours, or no artificial sweeteners.
The bottom line
There are plenty of weight loss drinks on the market today, and some may be able to assist in helping you reach your weight loss goals. For a weight loss drink to be effective, make sure its ingredients have proven benefits to weight loss, and are safe with no side effects. Weight loss drinks should not be used in isolation, and for them to help with sustainable weight loss, they shoud be part a holistic weight loss plan incorporating exercise and healthy eating.
