Is it normal for the art and science mattress to make spring noises and popping sounds?

I’m planning to purchase Art & Science Gold Plus Mattress - Queen plus extra firm support

Does anyone have experience with the mattress? Is it good for back pain relief?

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have bought a Hobart queen bookend bed. The bed didn’t come with any instructions. I have checked everywhere.

Would anyone know what the middle support timber is meant to go. I don’t have anymore screws only the ones for the slates.

Thank you

Hi Lauren, can you please contact tel:1300347937 tomorrow and someone can assist?

We just purchased an Art and Science firm queen size mattress. After two nights we are both struggling to sleep comfortably, as the mattress seems very hard. We normally love firm mattresses and wonder if it just takes time for us to adjust to the mattress? Should we persevere or change to a different mattress?

Personally, my experience with The sleeping giant has been terrible. I would strongly advise avoiding purchase there.

Hi Susan, We do advise that it can take anywhere from 14 to 30 days for your body to adjust to a new mattress. If you feel it is still the incorrect feel after 14 days but before 30days, we offer a 30day satisfaction guarantee. You can reselect a different mattress to your liking. Terms and conditions apply but the store will be able to assist you.

Thank you for your response. Already have the mattress and hoping it feels better after a couple of weeks.

Is anyone able to review the MATTRESS purchased in terms of quality, durability, life span, etc. I'd really like to get some reviews/opinions on The actual mattresses - not the store /staff/delivery issues. I had the assistance of a good, kind sales lady today in terms of she listened to (and heard) what our requirements for a mattress are. She was more than happy to give a written quote (including the date the deal and pricing, etc would expire), and understood that we wanted to go home to discuss together without pressure to make an on the spot purchase. I admit, this COULD be more to do with my being wheelchair bound and explaining that, for me, my comfort in bed is paramount as it CAN (and previously has) result in me being stuck - unable to move at all, not even to roll over for the phone to call for help and has put me in the hospital for weeks.

Hi :)

Is it possible to know the brand of mattress you're considering purchasing? I have experience with 3 mattresses The Sleeping Giant sell and if I could help I'd love to!

Thank you. We are considering the ART & SCIENCE brand GOLD FIRM SUPPORT QUEEN - NO PILLOWTOP mattress. (We are also considering a king koil brand ultra firm chiropractic mattress from another store). Both stores have been told that I will not make a snap choice and will take as long as I need to make sure it will be the right choice - so I appreciate any help/advice/information you can provide. A lot of people don't realise how important an investment a good quality mattress is. Even if you don't have this particular mattress, but have the same brand or it has a pillow top, or you've switched from the band? Any information on longevity, wear, comfort over time, anything will be extremely helpful to me as I need to purchase for the long term (if that makes sense).

Many thanks, and kind regards

Sorry for the late reply, I actually have purchased a Gold Balanced Comfort mattress from the Penrith store before. I purchased it when I moved out of home for University. I have had it roughly 13 months now and have had no dilemmas at all! It still feels the same as when I purchased it! The only issue I have had with the mattress is I wish I had actually purchased the Extra Comfort, plush feel. I didn't realise I could swap it until the 30 day return policy was over.

From what I was told by the saleslady, the Gold range doesn't have a pillow-top, just some type of cushioning so it isn't too firm?

I do know that they have a 10 year warranty and even a 30 day return policy if it is too firm or too soft (they make an extra firm in the Gold+ and Platinum range)

It is an important investment but from my experience, I've had/slept on Sealy, Koala, AHB mattresses and Art + Science and although it is set at a cheaper price point, there really isn't much difference between quality.

Although SG seem to get negative reviews, I have never had an issue with them and I continue to shop there! Penrith have now moved down on Mulgoa Rd and opened James Lane, a sister company that sell living and dining furniture, I purchased a sofa earlier this week! (needed an upgrade, haha).

If I could suggest anything, if you're local to the Penrith area, go in and see the staff again and continue to feel the mattresses! One of my mates works there, his name is Jake, and the other staff seem super friendly! They also sell King Koil and might have some ideas on the other one you're trying out.

I did have a friend of mine purchase a King Koil Chiropractic mattress from Snooze and she was very disappointed, it turns out she had been given discontinued stock because it was reportedly having a lot of recalls and issues with the mattress (she ended up repurchasing a Platinum Firm I think from SG)

When other brands had those deals of "Buy a king for the price of a single" it was likely to move floor-stock and discontinued stock. In the mattress world, I would think they would only discontinue something if it wasn't working?

Hope this helps!

- Mattress brand has been superb so far!

- Try and visit the store to refresh your memory

- Ask the staff as many questions as you need to! (Especially if my mate is there! haha)

Good luck!

- Connor

From my previous experience with the brand there is only a 30 day guarantee with their mattresses. Regardless of it's condition it would have to be in that 30 day period.
