What cover is there for a windscreen crack on a comprehensive policy?
Quality of claims
is windscreen replacement covered with comprehensive?
Why are people complaining about phone calls? I did a quote online and didn't have to input my phone number. They gave me a quote I wasn't happy with it and that is it.
My question to Youi is whether you should be charged for false advertising as I call the ads crap as your quotes are at the top of the lists :(
i wouid like to know for the cost of CTP Insurance fo my 2004HYUNDI SONAODA Thank you Madgei live Erina near Gosford NSW 2250
When Youi doesn't fully honour a comprehensive insurance claim, clearly failing to observe the industry expectation of open, honest and fair conduct and instead intimidates their customers into accepting fabricated half-measures(such as cosmetic repairs only, that leave your car unsafe to drive) and you for months without a vehicle. What reasonable compensation should you ask for, to encourage them to act with integrity in future? Should a petition be organised, to have their insurance licenses revoked?
You sound like a fool to be honest, no really comments as to what has happened, and unlikely to have left your car unsafe to drive, as it would have been repairer, and you should report the problem... sounds sketch tmak
What happened is I had a car accident. Youi towed my car to a public car park near my mechanic, rather than to my house as was agreed and left it there for months. After I chased them up, because my car was "lost" for three days after I was told it was to be returned to me. Instead of offering to do the repairs they offered me just over $1,000 indicating that's what it costs to repair a Holden Crewman with its front smashed in. I then got a quote to fix the car that was over $6,000. I asked them for the break-up for their meagre quote and it covered outer panel damage only. Not the radiator, coolant reservoir, aerial, dashboard or any other parts behind the paneling. So they were prepared to pay for the outer paneling of the car, so it would "look" repaired, however it would be undrivable without a radiator and with engine bay damage. They said the difference was because all of the internal parts were damaged before the accident. I informed them, as they were playing dumb, that it would be impossible to get to the site of the accident if the car had all of the prior damage they described. They fought this position for six months, initially unaware that just prior to the accident I had my car serviced. When the mechanic who serviced my car wrote a letter that demonstrated that all of their so-called tests that were used to indicate my car was damaged before the accident were not genuine tests or not applicable to a car after a head-on collision, with pictures showing all of the damage. 8 months later, after a dozen communications between myself AFRA, my mechanic and YOUI, we agreed to have the car towed to the smash repairer that YOUI got their original quote from and asked for a quote for the car to be repaired and made roadworthy as it was immediately before the accident. Only then did YOUI agree to write-off the car and paid out the market value, as it was indicated once my mechanic pointed out all of the repairs required, that it would cost them more than the $7,000 agreed write-off value to repair. Note that no-one at YOUI cared whether I had no vehicle for nearly a year. A fool would be a person who took the $1000 dollars or so and tried to fix the car themself, so that YOUI didn't have to honour the insurance policy in full. Or a person who accepts that he doesn't have all the details and yet insults a person who fought to have an insurance company honour what should be their responsibility to resolve fairly. If I recall; Matt was the name of the YOUI assessment mechanic who was quoted as saying that I couldn't speak to his manager, as YOUI assessors don't have any oversight. What a coincidence. Must just be a common name...
I'm comprehensive insured with you are we covered for rodent damage
I was driving my friend's car and had an accident in it, he is covered with you but does that cover me Ime over 25 and have a full licence
Can you sign up without having to talk to them on the phone yet? I swear I've looked at them so many times over the years and would've signed up if I could just do it online like any other service!
I'm not sure, I didn't proceed after I received the quote. Stuck with my original insurer who have now given me a 10% discount too after speaking to them.
Not sure why it wouldn't be possible.
Could I get a quote for insurance
I have had comprehensive insurance with Youi for years. My daughter (20F P plates) is a listed driver on the policy. Unfortunately had an accident where she was at fault (fail to give way). No injuries thankfully but both cars written off. Youi paid out market value for our car and handled our side just fantastic.
However we have just received magistrates court claim from other drivers insurers’ lawyers for their damages including ongoing rental costs.
Youi advice over the phone was that they are dealing with it in “complex claims” and to just ignore the legal documents.
Worried this will result in a default judgement and financial costs awarded against my daughter personally if we don’t defend the claim.
Really don’t understand why their lawyer thinks that it is a) even necessary and b) the smart play to sue a 20yo (broke!) Uni student when there is an insurance company who are covering it and will (surely!) pay out the claim.
Honestly don’t know what to do. Can we trust Youi’s advice here or should we be getting a lawyer involved?
If you have already received a magistrate court claim , then YOU must act .
Therefore , I suggest :
(1) Get Youi to send you in writing ( email is fine ) that they are dealing with the matter and to " ignore " the legal documents which you received .
(2) You must consult with a lawyer
Why don't you simply go bust Youi, you are a bloody nuisance and a disgrace hot calling people!!!
I have no idea why you knocked me back on a car insurance quote. My driving record is impeccable. I had all intentions of moving all vehicles, homes etc, to YOUI. I will now stay with Allianz.
Thanks
Mark McNicol
