Starting intermittently. Have changed fob battery and car 12v battery 100% as checked by autos. The push button start is intermittent but finally will start if you percervere.
Only your Toyota dealer can help,have had 6 200 series and never heard of problem
Good afternoon, I’ve just recently purchased a 2017 model Toyota land cruiser wagon. It’s been done up quite significantly with aftermarket boost gauges on the right hand pillar of the truck when I get hundred it can get right up to 25 psi of boost just wanting to know is this a sign that it has been tuned or how can I tell if the car has been tuned or is this a normal?

Hi everyone i have a 2016 sahara and recently i have noises coming from my dash that sound like the message horn on a apple i phone any ideas your help would be much appreciated.
Nav screen went black after starting the engine with the message "The external system is not connected". No rear camera, radio, map. This has happened twice before in say 2013 and 2022 and again today May 2023. On each of the previous times the issue self resolved after a day or so with no intervention. This third time I took car to Toyota who said they havent seen this before. It is booked for a service in 3 weeks and they will then try to resolve the issue. I was quoted $2K in 2013 for a system upgrade which I declined. Does anyone have a fix?
No doubt they will want to charge you more this time and i would suggest you get an after market system which would do the same job,plus dont forget you have a ten year old car with heaps of ks on it and things dont last forever,i suppose you have disconected all power to system an tried again,its amazing how they all say we havent seen that before,maybe try a wreckers and get one
Hi Darryl, Very low Km for 2009 LC at 163K as dont drive LC very much. Value keeps going up each year and comprehensive insurance costs more. No havent disconnected any systems yet including battery. Waiting for Toyota diagnostics or a suggestion from the brains trust in this forum.

Gidday, I have recently purchased a 2013 LC Sahara, I need to be able to reverse a heavy caravan up a steep concrete driveway and need low range.
On my previous 80 and 100 series I did the 7 pin mod to disable the CDL, if there a similar mod for the 200 series.

I haven't heard anyone doing this, but for a relatively short distance it shouldn't be an issue unless you're turning.
Unfortunately my driveway has a few bends also
I am busy going through some service documents now trying to trace the systematic. I have found some overseas model allow for L4F programs but info is very scarce.
Suggest you put it in 4wd and diff lock and the ECT button and tramp tha foot and of course disable caravan brakes as tha big Cruiser will do it
Hi. I’m thinking about purchasing a 2003 V8 petrol Sahara with 250k on clock. Was wondering what sort of kms I can expect before engine will need attention. Ps. Car has been religiously serviced every 10 k for last 12 years. Thanks
Mick have a look at it with some one who knows about them as the 200 series did not come out until 2007,plus to think it has only done 250ks in 19 yrs is rubbish,work would have to be done on it or better still look at something else,the add said 200 series which is incorrect,plus would be hard to get a good motor so old in good condition,also if you do get one put it on lpg cos they were gas guzzlers

Shiva if it is a Sahara to the left of steering wheel lower down there are 4 buttons, the bottom right of them allows you to open it and close it with the ignition off,if not a Sahara underneath the letter C on the name LAND CRUISER press the rubber button and and it should open if not go to Toyota dealer and no one else,i have only had Sahara models so thats all i can say but without the button left of wheel not pressed it not work
my 2019 200 series the reverse camera stopped working
Mick having had 6 200 series with no problem with the camera all i can say is go to Toyota.am not sure if it is in the book but would be worth a look as a lot of answers are there
2014 sahara back top lift up section will not operate using either buttons . just Beeps TWICE and NOTHING
On left lower side of steering wheel there are 4 buttons one of them i think right side of them allows the back door to lift up,it is easily explained in the user manual
Hi i have a 2017. The air wont come out of the drivers side 2 vents. Even on high fan nothing comes out. All the other vents work.
Are you really sure the little wheel is fully to the right as that will bloke any air,if not read the book on operation of the system and it will explain how too

Keen on buying a Landcruser for a tow vehicle. Late models are to sexy for me. Would it be a good move to by 2008 diesel with 250Ks for around $45K. Also would they have a reversing camera. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Cheers Gary
Helen 250 ks on a 2008 is rubbish,more like 450ks!!,increase your amount you want spend on a vehicle like that,the old saying is that what pay for is what you get, have had 6 of them with no prob but at that price you would want to have it checked over by experts an not some backyard wanka!!
If 200series land cruiser left parked but in neutral does it use battery energy up ? Therefore flat battery ?

My 2015 Sahara the back window beeps twice but won’t close when using the button on the car or the button on remote. Have to close manually, any ideas anyone please?
Are you sure the buttons on the left of steering wheel are in the right position cos i think there are 4 and the bottom right one controls the opening of the rear

I have a 08 lc200 with 340k Went to use the L4 yesterday and had L4 light flashing and some others. It didn't engage L4. Back the switch to H4. Drove home with lights still flashing. After 30 min restart car and lights off. Tried again to get it to engage L4 and it did. Clunck and L4 light was solid. Turned it back to H4 and L4 lights started to gnash but hit the clunck to tell me it was in H4. Turned car off. Today... It won't engage L4 at all again. No lights on dash. Turning switch back and forth many time's still no go.
Yes car in neutral and handbrake on, foot on break too.
Any ideas.

I can assure you they all clunk as i have had 6 200s but really the only answer is to go to a Toyota dealer and not some back yarder expert
I have a 2008 Sahara. The navigation system has stopped working along with the reversing camera which comes through on the same screen. The message on the screen says 'external system not connected'. I've tried several Toyota dealers and no-one knows what the message means. By chance I was driving it yesterday and it suddenly started rebooting and I thought it was fixed. 20 minutes later it suddenly just cut out again. I'm wondering if there's a loose connection but am keen to hear if anyone else has had the same issue and resolved it.
Hi , i have a 2009 toyota landcruiser , 200 series and have had rats chew through the fuel return line back to the tank , this is in a really difficult place to change on top of the transmission/ back of the motor , is it possible to re-route a new line from either end cheers shane
I have a 2018 200 VX Can I use crawl control when towing my caravan down a steep hill on wet grass Being in crawl control means not braking which means the caravan brakes will not activate. What is the best solution..Thanx
Why tha hell George would you want to do that anyway as the van will be pushing you,so you would turn your crawl off
