straightening/trying to curl. I have tried cleaning the plates, which still didn’t help. I also find the straightening doesn’t hold like my old one and my hair quickly turns wavy shortly after straightening. I would not recommend GHD as a brand anymore, the quality has definitely decreased over time.

game changer. My hair is glossy, gorgeous curls & no damage!!! I ordered a heat glove as alot of reviews mentioned burning their hands but I haven’t needed them either. Amazing, would highly recommend. My hair is thick & naturally coarse.

years and 6 months after purchase ( out of warranty) the on and off button on the hairdryer stopped working. I took the hairdryer to an electrician to fix the issue and found that the hairdryer is not made to be taken apart for repairs. I cannot justify paying $350 for a 2 year use. Disappointed in yet another product not made to last the distance.

slightly hotter. My hair since birth is extremely frizzy and the heating isn't hot enough, it takes a longer time to straighten my hair with this. I think 200 minimum works best for me. Also comparing to other companies for some reason ghd always lets off this toxic smell and I need a face mask on, if I don't I get dizzy and extremely tired like I'll pass out so I'm not sure what the thing is made of but it is definitely toxic. The design is light and doesn't burn you when using it which I like and the device lasts a long time without breaking but I did compare my latest ghd gold max to one from 2012 and the older one works slightly better. I also have an old Remington and it works amazing with just a couple of passes, even though heavier and bulky it's working better for my hair. Ghd just takes too long and the frizz comes back and the curls too within an hour or two. I just bought a silver bullet so I'm hoping it works better as I can pick which temperature I want.

Ghd are great – I am so amazed by the ghd it has changed not only my hair but my life as well it makes me feel so comfortable with my hair. Buying a ghd was the best thing I did. It removes the frizz from hair and makes it so straight. I definitely recommend

There was a promotion that you get a gift brush with a straightener and I did not get mine. I messaged the company who was not very pleasant and was told you probably were not eligible to get one and that I should have read the fine print. GHD service used to be good but that has changed and also after paying so much I would have expected better packaging or for it to have a case of some sort as my previous GHD did come with a mat and a bag. She kept hers in her box up until recently as the first time she used it, she struggled getting a good result. Mine was readily available so she figured she'd use mine while still living at home. It turns out that her straightener has had misaligned plates since the very first day, making it practically unusable. I didn’t realise until recently because she kept borrowing mine.

Today, I finally contacted GHD support to get some help or at least some direction on how to have the plates properly aligned, since the product has never worked as it should. The service I received was honestly appalling. The representative couldn’t have been less helpful if she tried. Every question was met with, “Sorry, we don’t offer that,” “Sorry, we don’t have a service centre,” or “Sorry, you’ll have to find someone yourself,” despite the fact that multiple appliance repairers have already said they can’t service GHD devices.

I wasn’t asking for a refund or a replacement — just basic guidance or an option for repair. Instead, I was left with no answers, no solutions, and no accountability for a product that was faulty from day one.

For a premium brand, this level of customer care is unacceptable. I’ve always recommended GHD to friends and family, but after today, I can't see a reason to continue supporting a product whose company can't be bothered helping it's customers with their faulty workmanship.

Note that in the image with my hand, I am gripping it firmly and you can see the plates are not aligned.

GHD classic – Don't spend your money to get a big scar. You can easily burn yourself with this curler. They will not return or do refund even you write email to them. Not recommended

washing and drying process. The duet gets my hair straight from damp - no need to wrestle with a round brush and blowdryer first. The only problem I find is because its plates are widely set, it leaves my hair looking a little blunt at the ends (even when I change the setting to shine shot), so I usually finish off with a regular straightener to tidy it up.

very inconvenient spot, as it's easy to accidentally turn it off while styling. Care must also be taken, as it very easy to burn your fingers if you touch the styling section of the tool.

from Japan. Could take it over no problem but cannot fly back with it even if bought in Japan. The airport will bin it no matter what you explain. So there’s no guarantee that airports will allow it even if flying through an allowed airline. When I bought this from Hairhouse there was no indication of restrictions flying. Only when I went to GHD site I could see it’s not allowed to fly all places.

hair and after using the GHD brush I have a perfect smooth blowout. I watched the videos first and I’ve had no trouble using it - I get better at it the more I use it. Got this as a gift for Christmas and was so worried I had wasted my husbands money but it’s worth every $. I look salon ready. It lasts me 5 days between washes and stays smooth and bouncy. Life changing for me.
