the smaller branches ended up clogging up the system being crushed not chopped. I looked online for parts to fix the shredding mechanism and was surprised to find that they were NLA. I contacted Michigan who have a similar 2400 w mulcher, to see if their parts would fit but got no joy. So armed with this I raised the issue of parts support with Ryobi and Bunnings the manufacturer and my supplier. Surprise came when I was referred back to Bunnings by Ryobi Customer Service with an RMA. Bunnings gave me like for like a full replacement valued at $499 after three years of use thanks to Ryobi. No questions asked. When I got the new mulcher home I did notice that a disclaimer on the box states that the four year warranty relates to full replacement. They do not have a servuce department, choosing instead to rely on the product quality. Now depending on your point of view and the Consumer Affairs requirement for any product that is sold carries a warranty, it woukd appear that if you gave an issue with a Ryobi product especially high value, they don't impose any conditions much. Again surprised to come home with brand new mulcher value $499 and four year warranty, You can't ask for better than that can you? . Thank you Bunnings for the ease of returning the worn item and replacing it. A better than fair outcome.

requires assembly instructions, parts, commitment, very IKEA, but without the complimentary meatballs. In hindsight, probably explains the price.
Once assembled, I hit the power button and was immediately convinced a Lancaster Bomber was attempting take-off in my living room. This thing is loud. Like “pause, look around, wait for the neighbours to complain” loud. I genuinely checked the windows.
Suction-wise… look, I’ve seen better suction on a hungover mozzie stuck to a flyscreen. With the nozzles on, it didn’t exactly cut the mustard. Take the nozzles off and it improves still not long-distance suction, but at least it’s having a go.
That said, for the price, it’s… fine. It does the job if your expectations are realistic and your ears are prepared. Not a luxury experience, more a utility-grade, shout-at-it-over-the-noise situation.
Would I buy it again? Maybe, but only after warning the household, the neighbours, and possibly air traffic control.

The Ryobi lawn edger 18V does the job quite nicely but the blade (which is expensive) wears out in no time.
Very handy compressor – Really handy little compressor. Great for home garage checking of tyre pressures or use on the e-scooter tyres. Very good for inflating mattress etc. I have also used on some serious off road tours which is prob not ideal but it did work fine.

Reciprocating saw 18V ONE+ HP (RRS18C) - loose battery due to poor design/production accuracy. I purchased/used my RRS18C to cut back 12 x tall… Read more
stands of Golden Cane palms at my house this last week. I used 5 x re-charges on the 4ah and 2ah batteries. Towards the end I noticed the trigger not starting the saw, but if I pushed the battery home again the tool would run. After the task was complete, see photos of the piles of canes, I looked closely at the battery/handle interface and was puzzled why the battery was so loose and flopping around in the handle. I looked in the box for a gasket that might be placed between the handle and the battery, thinking I had missed installing it as the gap was 3-5mm at each end of the battery when waggled to the limits. What I have determined is the battery to handle interface has too much slack. The 2 retaining clips are in the centre of the battery and 'click' home BUT the battery is not pulled in close to touch the handle along the mating surfaces, rather there is a 2mm gap that exaggerates to 3-5mm at each end when waggled.
Inspecting the inside of the handle I found 2 x silver slivers fell out with the battery, these were the last 2 of a total 4 fingers on the battery tabs in the handle. The handle mates to the battery using these 4 fingers to touch on the +ve and -ve terminals of the battery. All 4 had broken off. The battery float 'pivots' around the central battery clips in the handle and so the rattle is placing side loading on the 4 fingers until they snap off.
FIX: see photos. Pt1: I hot glued 2 x packers into the opening of the handle to take out the manufactured slack in the interface between the battery shape and the handle shape. Pt2: I used a flat blade screwdriver placed into the handle, behind each of the remains of the battery connectors, then levered them out away from the wall so they will contact the inserted battery terminals. The connection is made in the last 5mm of the terminal, so having Pt1 done is important.
Now the battery 'clicks' onto place and there is zero float, as you would have expected in the first place. The tool was a gem for cutting a mountain of these canes (see photos), full credit to the tool. The battery retaining is a sloppy weak point that deserves to be fixed.
I contacted Ryobi support asking for a replacement connector clip in the handle... No part is available, only a warranty replacement of the entire tool and that doesnt solve the issue and will only repeat on the next one. Also so thats just creating landfill and I wont do that with a tool that is otherwise great. I stated as much and suggested that Ryobi review the production accuracy to see if there is a variation between designed and the final manufactured product. IMO this is the last tool, being a reciprocating saw with large inherent vibrations, that should have a loose battery interface.

pressure to get through any job. Mould on the concrete - gone. Oil & grease on the BBQ - gone. 4WD'ing in the mud - gone.
The in-handle storage of the hose is damn handy, although you do have to disconnect the hose from either the handle or the pump (or both) to do it. Luckily, connecting and disconnecting the hose is a piece of cake.
The variable spray head is probably the one I have used the most because it can be adjusted to suit most applications. If you have some incredibly tough mess to clean up there is the 'turbo lance' but I imagine it may do some serious damage if you were too aggressive with it.
I did try out the patio cleaner head and while it does a quick clean up (it definitely makes a difference), I ended up switching to the variable head for a better clean. What really surprised me were the attachments for the car - I've used foam cannons from both Meguires and Karcher and while they were both good, this is GREAT. Such a good thick, even coat of foam - better than I have ever seen. After that, I used the rotary brush for some manual agitation, and it quickly and thoroughly cleaned up the paintwork
For $300, this thing will clean up almost anything around the house

very small branches. clearly crafted by someone who knew exactly what a chainsaw should do, and then made the conscious decision to make it do the complete opposite out of sheer spite. The chain tensioner? A sadistic joke. A labyrinth of plastic nonsense so over-engineered it could probably qualify for a PhD in uselessness, and yet it still can’t hold a chain tight for more than three seconds. The motor? Pathetic. It struggles harder than a dying mosquito. You could yell at a tree and get better cutting power. And the oiler? Don’t make me laugh. It doesn’t oil the chain - it oils you. Every squeeze of the trigger just baptizes your hands in disappointment and regret. I wouldn’t wish this saw on my worst enemy. If given the choice between using this sorry excuse for a tool or gnawing through an Ironbark with a single, loose tooth, I’d sharpen the tooth and get to work. Because at least that would be faster, quieter, and far less humiliating.

hard. Set up the stand, and the table is not level!?! Got a 15mm lean across, and 8mm lean front to back. Whilst theoretically it doesn’t affect the function of the table - it’s not in any way OK for the table to be out of square on the basic parameter of levelness. More than disappointed - I sent them a question on how to fix it, and they don’t monitor their queries inbox. Sent them a second - no response again. Tried to send Bunnings a complaint - the form doesn’t work! (Not an unusual tactic for big corporates.) I have stocked up on #Ryobi tools this year (30!). Ryobi 2030 psi pressure cleaner (model RACPWS6) Replaced my 6-year-old Gerni cleaner with this unit. The Gerni was good but the Ryobi looked to be… Read more
the better unit at this price point and the difference for me was the ability to use multiple pressure nozzles as the lance uses std. ¼ inch fittings. Various size pressure nozzles are readily available and relatively cheap – the Ryobi comes with a std. 15-degree nozzle and a rotating turbo nozzle, along with a foam sprayer for cleaning and car washing etc. and a rotary surface cleaner for use on concrete and paved floors.
The cleaner is rated at max. pressure 2030 PSI (rated pressure 1450 PSI). It is difficult to compare pressure washers on the pressure rating advertised. For example, this pressure washer advertises 2030 PSI pressure but that might be with a zero-degree small nozzle, real world rated pressure is 1450 PSI, which puts this cleaner in the place of capable of cleaning concrete and decking surfaces and usable for washing the car, at the same time being careful with the distance from the car. If you have bigger requirements for pressure you may need to look further.
Similarly, the machine is rated at 7 L/m max. flow but the rated flow is 6 L/m. You need to dig around for this information, the manufacturers will advertise the machine as the highest possible rating, not what it runs at in average operating situation.
The motor is 1800w and has enough power to run the pump, the noise level is around 87db and as is typical with these cleaners, a noisy clunking sound emits when the trigger is released. The power cord supplied is 5 metres long.
The cleaner comes compact as a kit in the box and some assembly is required – you do not need to be technically minded to assemble it, it is easy just by following the step-by-step instructions in the manual. The body of the machine is solid plastic, but I have to say that the handle and the hose reel are “soft” plasticky feel and does not seem all that robust, time will tell. The plastic cable reel is good, and needs some assistance to wind in the 7-metre hose. The pressure hose is ok, tangling when in use not a big issue. The 7-metre length is standard. The water inlet connector is hard plastic, not metal, we will see how that goes.
The weight of the cleaner is around 8kg which is good for mobility and moving it, but it does also have wheels on the base to transport it around. The lance is good with lockout on the trigger and the fitting of the hose and nozzles etc. is good with strong connection. The lance has a lock lever on the handle to prevent it turning as well. Clicking the hose into the front of the machine is good and the slide lock works in the right direction so you can pull the lever and disconnect with one hand easily.
Using the machine is very easy, and I have tested out the capability on rough concrete floor, rendered walls and exposed aggregate concrete floor with the surface cleaner and pool glass fencing. The cleaner does a pretty good job on all surfaces and the power is adequate for most jobs. The surface cleaner did a good job on aggregate concrete surface in the patio, but my aggregate is ground smooth, so not sure how the surface cleaner would good on rough exposed aggregate.
My only small gripe about the lance is that as a taller person, it is a little bit short – could have been about 50mm – 75mm longer. It is possible to buy some aftermarket lance extensions with std ¼ inch fittings. Ryobi sell a backwards compatible lance and adapter kit for extra reach.
All in all, a very good cleaner and good quality at this price point, and comes with std. 4-year warranty with additional 2 years extension if you register with Ryobi online, which is easy to do. If you have a lot of Ryobi tools you may already have them in your online Ryobi toolkit which makes it all very easy to manage and maintain.
Despite some little gripes, and opportunity to make a couple of improvements, this pressure washer is very good for what it aims at, versatile and capable of medium to heavy cleaning jobs, without overtaxing the budget. PROS: Compact cleaner, easy to transport around at 7.8kg; Good pressure and versatile for a range of applications; ¼ inch fittings are good – easy to buy extra nozzles and fittings after market; All connections snap and lock and feel secure.; The slide lock lever on front of the machine is just pushing action to engage pressure hose and one-handed operation on the slide lever to remove it; 1800-watt motor gives plenty of power to run the machine; Hose reel on top of machine is good to wind up the hose; The 15 ° nozzle, turbo nozzle, surface cleaner, and foaming attachment are good to get you started; 6-year warranty is good (4 years + 2 when you register on line with Ryobi)
CONS: Handle is a bit plasticky, but expected in consumer grade product to keep the cost down; The lance could be 50mm – 75mm longer, but apparently adapter kit is available to increase length;
Great suction – Fantastic suction. With the squeegee end gets dog hair ect up..light wieght easy moving along floor ..cheap price ..wish I had bought years ago. highly recommended

across the workpiece makes roughing so easy. Unfortunately there is a design error with the placement of the dust collector (which does work!) Very handy pruning saw, simple and easy to use – My wife was looking for a little saw that she could easily handle to prune trees and branches <150mm thick (size most of our low-level trees and… Read more
shrubs requiring pruning) and expressed interest in one of these little saws which offered one handed cutting (depending on the size of the battery used which adds weight). The skin without battery weighs 980 grams and with 4-amp battery is about 1.5 kilograms.
The saw is very well built (consistent Ryobi quality) has a powerful brushless motor and to my surprise is very quiet - I armed up with earmuffs to use it, based on most chain type saws being noisy but was impressed with how quiet and smooth it runs. The design is clever, enable left- or right-hand operation with activation switch either side of the handle (to suit left / right) and has a moulded grip are on top to enable pressure from the hand not on the trigger when cutting. There is a spring-loaded guard over the top of the chain which is designed to assist in the unlikely event of kickback (less likely to kick back with a 140mm cut length)
The chain tensioner is very well designed and simple to use - no tools or effort required, easy to adjust. The saw doesn't have an oil reservoir as do larger chainsaws, but it is recommended that you manually oil the chain whilst using - the instructions in the manual suggest 3-5 drops of oil dropped on the cutter bar / chain - we used an old mini detergent bottle filled with good chain oil (not general lubrication oil) and squirt oil into the sprocket area driving the chain and a little run of oil along the top of the chain - not lubricating the chain and bar will increase wear and shorten its life.
On top of the handle is an LED panel to indicate the load sensing on the bar and chain whilst cutting - Green = normal load; Amber = high load; Red = overloaded; For people not used to chain type saws this is a handy feature, and it doesn't take long to work out how the saw is performing in relation to load.
The cutter bar and chains are manufactured by both Oregon and Ryobi according to the manual - it appears that Bunnings stock the chain but not the cutter bar, which I believe is a buy in order through the service desk. I would suggest that the chain will wear out before the cutter bar, but it is important that wear parts like these are available and is part of the consideration when buying.
Ergonomically the saw is well balanced and easy to operate - I have used the saw, as has my wife who had no trouble using it with either one hand operation or two hands if a little more pressure needed on the bar when cutting, and she is very happy with her purchase! The saw comes with a 4-year warranty from Ryobi, and you receive an extra 2 years if you register online by joining up with Ryobi and adding the tool and uploading the receipt which is simple to do.
In addition to gardening, we think this saw would be excellent to carry when camping, to round up smaller branches for firewood as it can cut up to 140mm with no problems at all.
All in all, a great addition to our gardening and general tools. Wouldn't be without it, makes pruning a pleasure.!
PROS very well designed, ergonomic and easy to use, left and right hand operation Well built, good quality Brushless motor, smooth and powerful 140mm diameter cutting capacity 6” (15cm) bar length Tool-less chain tensioning, very easy to use. Load-sensing LED panel is helpful.
