Because when i paid it was in sake, then they changed it the sale was over.
Back and forth arguing with the staff, they finally just give me my treatment back i paid for, . . . So i thought.
Went in, they said they dint have tune for my full treatment and will be only doing a part of it.
I asked for my money back, they wouldn't pay me back for that days treatment, due to short notice, BUT TOOK THE FULL TREATMENT OF THREE AREAS OUT. IF THEY JUST DID MY FULL TREATMENT OF THREE AREAS I WOULDN'T OF ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK

advised to switch to a retinol peel, which was actually cheaper than what I originally booked. However, they did not inform me that changing treatments would cancel my initial package deal. I assumed I would receive a refund since the treatment I received cost less. When I returned for my second session, I was told my two-treatment package was no longer valid and ended up paying even more. This was never clearly explained to me, which felt misleading and unfair.
After the treatment, there was also strong persuasion to purchase another treatment package and additional products. Thankfully, I chose not to sign up for more.
They changed my appointment time a day before. I was understanding and agreed to move the time to earlier appointment. But, when I arrived just five minutes late and I called them to inform them, I was met with a condescending attitude over the phone and upon arrival. However, even after completing my forms, I ended up waiting because the staff member was busy taking her time selling products to another customer.

The manager and the staff at Waverley Gardens are uncomfortable doing laser hair removal for intimate areas such as an#s, I had confirmed with them… Read more
before booking that their “buttocks” package covers the an#s area before booking, which the manager responded to via email that it did, but they don’t cover it and just do the outside when you have your session which is quite disappointing, and they count on you not saying anything and them getting away with it, but make sure you guys mention it if the same happens to you, who knows, they might do it for you but the person I was with didn’t do it and tried to deceit me. Anyways, considering this is not an easy area to shave and the fact that they DID mention it covers the an#s. The staff member actually tried to deceit me by saying “ you have to buy another package for that” not knowing that I had before booking any laser hair removal sessions at this clinic confirmed that an#s is covered with the buttocks package and the email is still there, the manager was actually the person who had responded to that email. So they are okay with other areas generally, but for intimate areas I wouldn’t recommend that a guy comes here, maybe they are more comfortable with their female treatments but even so their Brazilian package does not cover the genitalia either. A lot of their staff actually try to sell you products you don’t need, with a new product being recommended every time you come in, the staff must get some sort of commission from selling these products as they do it very passionately and I actually fell for it as a laser newbie and bought a few but you do not need them at all. But overall this by itself is a good enough reason to avoid this clinic because if they are selling you products just for the sake of selling things to you, they definitely don’t care about you. They half-butted the treatments too, especially for big areas. Their pricing is not that good either, look into other clinics and you’ll notice they are much cheaper and better in every way. The staff do not like their job and aren’t comfortable doing what they are supposed to do and are being paid to do. Oh and don’t be fooled by the good reviews, there is a discount for writing a good review, around $10. (I was fooled by the good reviews until I wrote one myself in the clinic for the $10 discount) you have to mention the staff member’s name to get the discount by the way oh and obviously 5 stars!! a clinic I recommend you check out is Victoria Skin And Laser clinic, from my experience there, they actually do their job as uncomfortable as they may be and they actually care for delivering good results. Hopefully this review helps out a guy or someone who’s thinking of coming here. I unfortunately have bought a fair bit of sessions here which I’ll finish and book anything else I’ll need to book at another clinic. But regardless a good experience to learn from and how some “laser” and “skin” clinics actually work. And please don’t buy any of their products (from someone who spent over $134 on them and fell for it thinking it actually has a functional role to play and that this clinic actually cares and doesn’t just want my money) do not fall for their reviews on google maps, they are fake incentivised reviews, only look at the reviews here, these are the legit reviews and they all mention the things I have mentioned, clearly it’s a reoccurring theme here at this clinic and they do not care because they keep taking people’s money!!! They’ve managed to somehow build a 4.9 star rating on google maps because of their incentivised reviewing! They literally have a QR code on store and ask you to scan it and write a 5 star review and mention the therapist’s name !!! I’ll talk more about this below too. Look at the reviews here compared to google maps, it’s literally night and day difference and proves what I have written here is pure absolute fact (hopefully after reading this review you would reconsider going here) but if you did go here you would instantly know what I am talking about, maybe buy a few sessions to see how exactly what I have written here is pure fact, but do not fall for their fake sales, if buying, buy on Black Friday or Boxing Day as their sales on these periods is okay but even still not as good as other clinics. EDIT: They call this a “miscommunication” but I could tell so easily from the person’s tone in my session that she lied and my last session with the manager there that they are uncomfortable covering that area as they never covered it. The manager did offer me free session the next day to cover that area but it was far too late and I had already completed two sessions for buttocks with that area not being covered, they should have been done when they were supposed to be done, and they also gave my phone number to the treating therapists who lead me to write this review for them to call me in my free time and say that I was throwing things“out of proportion” by writing my review and experience here. they only started to show concern and care after I had written my review because now their business and reputation is at risk. Now that they have made a reply and failed to force me to remove my review, I’m probably gonna have an amazing time completing the rest of my sessions here, oh boy. Also There were no consultations, no explanation of boundaries, I only showed up and did my laser sessions, I don’t know what this person below is talking about, “buttocks boundaries” they literally never mentioned these. And wow please see how shamelessly they lie below, they say they do not provide any incentives to write a review, but in front of the manager of this clinic, Caity, one of my treating therapists right after my sessions told me (if you write a review and mention my name you can get $10 discount!) and I wrote a review for them there on the spot too and mentioned her name as well and got the discount, they even had a QR code to scan!! If this isn’t an incentive I don’t know what is, just look at the reviews if they mention a name it’s highly likely it’s fake and was done the same way I just mentioned, for a discount. It’s funny that they say they have been doing this for 16 years as if this is gonna be a good thing for them when they themselves say the treating therapists don’t know what area covers what, clearly shows their level of skill and how much they care about the service they provide and when I wrote this review and talked with the manager the next day because I had a booking here (she wanted to have a private chat with me because of my review!) the manager said the treating therapist probably didn’t know what the package covers because it changes? Am I responsible for making sure the people who work here stay informed and updated on how the packages have changed? What an excuse. And the treating therapist called me later to say she has been working here for four years and mentioned the same excuse that she didn’t know that buttocks covered the an#s, so you’ve worked here 4 years and you don’t know what covers what? If it isn’t deception to lie about a package that covers a certain area of the body and say “you’ll probably have to buy another package to cover that area” when you already know it does cover that area, I don’t know what is. This is a reoccurring theme here, my first buttocks session was with the manager actually and even in that session that area wasn’t covered fully and if the manager isn’t doing it of course the treating therapists won’t do it. As soon as you write your experience in a review, and it’s negative, they show a lot of concern and care, but when I mentioned to the manager who sat me down in a room to talk about what happened at my last session that lead me to write this review I could tell she only cared about the fact that I had written this review and wanted me to remove it so desperately, and of course the phone call I had received from that treating therapist was the same, with her wanting me to remove the review and sounding quite disingenuous and going as far as saying that me writing my experience with this clinic is throwing things out of “proportion”. The moment they know you have no plans of taking your review down they turn on you and go back to how they are normally. Crazy that you have to write a negative review in order to get the service you were supposed to get originally without writing any reviews. Also please do not ever give my phone number which is my personal information to any of your treating therapists and do not call me about my review. Thanks. And I mention another clinic to ensure guys like me who are getting laser hair removal for the first time don’t end up getting scammed by coming here and go somewhere where people are actually comfortable doing the job they are supposed to be doing. Regardless It is none of your business what I mention in my reviews here or anywhere else. I’m sure you understand that, but nice attempt at trying to force me to not save the few people I could save and their money from going here and ensuring they can have the best experience possible with the best results possible by going to a better clinic where you can get value for your money with great service and not conservative laser settings which are used to force you to buy more sessions. They could have just came out and apologised publicly for failing but of course they’ll do their best to save face. Honestly says a lot about this clinic. This was a very expensive mistake for me, if I had known the things I know now I would have never chosen to come here, I’ve spent over $1900 in treatments here and products, make sure you won’t make an expensive mistake like me and just choose not to come here. It cost me 1.9k, make sure it costs you $0. Just go to another clinic or the one I have recommended in my review, in my experience there, they are amazing and I had the results I would have after 3 sessions here in 1 session at that clinic, and they both used the same devices, this clinic definitely does something sketchy to make you buy more sessions, they are very very money hungry and don’t prepay a lot of sessions like I did, buy a few sessions and if they are great, make sure you keep buying sessions there. Update (19 February 2026): Today I received a phone call from a person identifying herself as Natasha, who stated she is the operational manager of MySkin Clinic.
I was not seeking a refund and was intending to continue my remaining prepaid treatments as normal. During this call, however, I was told that the clinic wanted to issue me a refund only if I removed my negative review. When I stated that I was not requesting a refund and intended to continue my sessions, I was told that if I did not remove the review, I would not be allowed to attend the clinic and my remaining prepaid treatments would not be provided.
When I questioned whether this was legal, she changed her position and said that instead of removing the review, I would need to alter or change it in a way acceptable to the clinic. She also explicitly stated that, in exchange for a refund, I would need to “sign a waiver.” I made it clear that even if a refund were issued, I would not remove or alter my review, as it reflects my genuine experience and I believe it is important for other consumers to be informed.
I was further told that security would be called if I attempted to attend my booked appointments, with the reason given that staff did not feel “comfortable” treating me because of my review.
At one point during the call, I started recording the phone conversation using the iPhone call recording feature, which audibly announces to both parties that the call is being recorded. Immediately after the recording announcement played, the call was abruptly terminated by her.
I found this interaction intimidating and coercive. Attempting to force a refund, require a waiver, and threaten refusal of prepaid services in response to an honest review is deeply concerning. This update is being added so others are aware of how complaints and reviews are handled by this clinic.
I also want to highlight an important issue for anyone researching this clinic. Negative reviews on Google Maps appear to be repeatedly reported and removed or “shadow hidden.” This has happened to my own Google Maps review as well, it only becomes visible after edits, then disappears again from public view despite showing as posted on my end. After looking more closely, it’s clear many critical reviews experience the same pattern, while overly positive incentivised reviews remain. This makes Google Maps an unreliable place to judge real customer experiences for this clinic. Fortunately, ProductReview does not allow the same kind of mass reporting or suppression, which is why I’m documenting my experience here so others can access an uncensored, accurate account before deciding.

Brisbane Skin
I’m writing to warn others that Brisbane Skin (BS) is not an integrated team of employees as the website suggests. It is owned by Aura Medical Group,… Read more
who provide managed office services (including bookings) and marketing for dermatologists and laser techs etc who each operate independently. In other words it is a Brand.
The BS laser technicians work for themselves. The money you pay is to them. Although they wear scrubs, they aren’t doctors or nurses.
Google reviews seem distorted, and there is no way to review the independent laser technicians operating from the BS premises, since they don’t have online profiles.
I went to BS in Feb 24, and paid $2500 for fraxel and a cream, believing the website statements at the time that fraxel treatments were led by what was quoted as the “world famous dermatologist [Name Removed]” (who has since left BS). I wanted dermatologist led care to ensure the right treatment diagnosis and in case of any issues. Believing this to be the case I had a very painful fraxel treatment from a laser technician “Hilary” which resulted in infection, and I have had increased pigment on my cheeks and acne since the laser. When I immediately raised the issues BS made up excuses seeking to blame me for them (eg taking antibiotics 3 days late, when they had not given instructions with the e-script I was texted), and refused to allow me to see a medically qualified doctor for 4 weeks. I came to realise this is because they don’t have access to book them, since they are not employees.
e scripts were issued by [Name Removed] but this was without any consultation or instructions by him (in person or on line). I did not speak to him until a month after the treatment and only after insistence.
He was the necessary enabler for the laser treatment to be done by Hilary, since scripts are needed, but without giving any genuine input into the diagnosis, treatment or post treatment. However this added to my initial false impression that medical advice was part of what I was getting.
My concern with this business model is the falseness of the advertising, luring patients on the belief that there is an integrated medical team underpinning their services. If I had known I was just booking a laser technician operating independently I would have chosen a different provider (there are actual dermatologists who do these treatments and have nurses under them).
Some corrections to website wording (originally stating that all staff are medically qualified) have occurred since I raised this complaint, however the BS site still states “The team of dermatologists, clinical assistants, nurses, therapists and support staff work together to make your experience with Brisbane Skin seamless from the time of booking through to post treatment care”
I raised with the Health Ombudsman but unfortunately they have not investigated beyond the escripts, the bigger issue of misrepresentation.
BS refused to refund me any of the cost unless I signed a Deed, which I have declined to do on principle.
See before and after photos below. Before photo with no pimples was taken the day before the treatment. The after photos are immediately after and 4 weeks after.
