the assistance of two removalists to package it all up and store on a monthly basis ongoing. With appropriate notice, both myself and my family easily accessed the box as needed over this time and everything was in great shape. A week ago, I reached out to end my lease with them, and the box was delivered and picked up again promptly and without fuss.

customer service—something that’s sadly rare these days. It was refreshing to deal with a platform where someone actually replies promptly and helpfully.

My host echoed the same sentiment: Spacer works exceptionally well for both hosts and renters. When I needed to terminate my space early (since my new place has a double garage), there were no issues at all. Both the host and Spacer handled it seamlessly, and Spacer quickly refunded the balance of my prepaid rent (since payments are made a month in advance).

Special shoutout to Clarisse, the customer service representative who assisted me with the termination process. Her professionalism and efficiency were top-notch. It’s no surprise that her name pops up in other reviews as well—clearly, she’s a star on the team! Management should seriously consider recognising her contributions.

If only more platforms—especially the big ones—could match Spacer’s level of responsiveness and accommodation. Highly recommend Spacer for anyone needing storage solutions!

and clothes at Kennards and much of our stuff - a Persian carpet and expensive suits - were totally destroyed by moths. A very heavy infestation. Damage by moths is an exclusion in the insurance so we have lost a lot of money. As an aside, the increase in rent for the unit was about $100 annually. This year they increased the rent by about 20% for no extra service. One could interpret these huge annual increases to the fact that they know how difficult it is for people to move out of the unit one they were in it, so feel they are able to charge what they want. after making payment and signing the agreement that my booking could not be carried out as per my request. The Operations team phoned to inform me they couldn't do it, and offered another day - the morning of our house sale settlement. In the end after much discussion I cancelled the booking and asked for a full refund. A very stressful and important time for my family was made so much worse by Kent Removals. No formal apology or accountability was offered by management. Never again.

back rate hasn't changed since 2019 based on other reviews - they will return your call when it suits them, never pick up the phone, never text, email or leave a voicemail to follow up... and then accuse you of being hard to get in touch with - even when you send them the call logs showing the opposite.

The boxes come with other people's stickers and tape, and are bent out of shape with clear lines of use, but the company will accuse you of being the first to bend them out of shape. The boxes themselves are fine and easy to put together, but the company itself is so hard to deal with I would go anywhere else next time.

I organised box pickup multiple times and they failed to collect both times after I waited around all day without so much as a text to say they weren't coming. Then after flaking the second time, they billed me for an extra three months of hire - they charged $300 before they emailed or called to notify me, and I had to threaten VCAT and seek consumer affairs advice before I was able to finally organise them to pick up their property and return the money refunded. This is for property I desperately wanted to return. I had to hold onto the boxes for so long I moved them from place to place! Completely dishonest and shady behaviour.

I was so disappointed because the box quality is fine and it's a great business model, but I will never use this company again.

phone when I attempted to organise a removalist date with them (due to the fact they are forcing everyone to relocate their belongings after their closure). I simply asked if a certain date was available and she took off with a vengeance! I was totally blown away as I never thought anyone with that type of behaviour would have a job, let alone a customer service role. I asked her to takes breath and calm down and she then hung up on me. I really hope that phone call was recorded for “training purposes” as it’s a cracker (viral vibes for sure!) Jokes aside, she should be very ashamed of herself and I hope no one makes the mistake of hiring her elsewhere.

a delivery drivers was fine, everything went smoothly, I really like how the designated dates of pick up and drop off accurate, Clearly communicated to you, and not unpredictable. The only downside, which is understandable due to the large distance being travelled, is that you have to figure out what to do for two weeks without furniture, because despite their best efforts to give you accurate pick up and drop off dates, it’s still doesn’t address your personal need for a place to stay and furniture/bedding in the meantime whilst you wait for your POD to arrive at your destination. Bear in mind, this was for Brisbane to Adelaide, quite a far interstate move. It may be a shorter wait time for short distances. Long story short, I would definitely recommend PODS, The only issue you need to figure out is whether or not you should book an Airbnb/hotel/stay with family/friends in the interim! Oh, almost forgot to mention, the cost saving that you get. I imagine is because they don’t help you load or secure the stuff in the pod at all. So make sure you have some muscle/elbow grease/friends/family ready to help you pack heavy stuff like fridges and couches, etc.
