If you have decided to build, please use proper builder and pay a little bit more to get rest of your life peaceful, you get what you pay for. They build the house but any warranty related problem, is just your fault and maintenance related issue. There is nothing they can do about 6 year statutory warranty. My sincere advice please look after yourself. All the best.

No idea sorry Neil. I have colourbond. I presume it would be covered by the 7 year structural warranty.
If you are lucky with Allworth, and your house has no issue all good. If it turn out to be any warranty related issues, they will just put their hands up and give up. Company is running at cost effective model, and they have not really work on increase the staff for their warranty team, too many houses with no support meant they can't support it at all. Any issue that you will face even waterproofing, it will be your fault and your maintenance issue.
I have an issue atm , colorbond roof, turns out after independent inspections the flashing was not installed correctly leaving a hole, I have water damage to my property , after 18 months, they have advised its not their issue, They have even sent me an email in writing that their homes are not built to sustain weather events such as heavy rain. I reached out to them in good faith as its under 2 years , they want nothing to do with it, im going through insurance atm and generating my own reports of defects from independents, and will present them with the facts ... Ive tried to do the right thing to get them to see first hand what the issue may be, so they can correct it , but seems they want me to find proof to shame them. Its coming
My wife and I are considering building with Allworth, We are quite concerned about the negative reviews on your building practices also your sales brochures advise checking the small print for other exclusions, what are these other exclusions?
what would the extra cost be to have 2.7 metre ceiling height in a harmony design , why is this home advertised for $255,000-00 when I was told its available for $193,000-00
9 foot (2.7m) ceilings cost an additional $11k for me when building a 380m2 home, so I would imagine for the Harmony you'd be more looking around $7k extra for the 2.7 ceilings.

Would be good if reviewers stated where they were building to see if one allworth centre is worse than others.

Currently building with alright homes and they have given us the final quote so we took that to the bank and got the loan but now they are trying to make us pay $1600 for storm water plans that comply with the section 7 to council, should that be on us or should that already be in the quote?
It is obvious that customers do not retain say 10% of the contract price for 90 days after receiving the keys to ensure all remedial work is carried out. If remedial work is not completed within 14 days of key handover, an alternative contractor should be employed and the cost taken out of the retention money.

Hi, has anyone been required to submit a bank pre -approval before signing a a contract from Allworth homes?
Hi Nel, if you are using finance to pay for the build then it is a definite requirement. I would be wary of any builder who did not request a pre approval after they have submitted a final tender price to you.
Yep pre-approval is definitely required. That was pretty much first thing after choosing a basic design and rough price Allworth wanted.
