I am planning a trip to Brisbane late February 2021 with my extended family & have a quote for a large people mover should I be concerned with all the negative reviews I have read with regards to hidden charges & rude customer service people.

Yes I would. After dealing with Andy's and another dodgy one we found Alpha car rentals to be fantastic. Hired a car two times from them now and they are great.

Glad you avoided them. I spent my whole holiday raving about how well I was treated by them (I actually got one of the boss' who booked everything for us and was so so lovely. I had the most amazing customer service with them the whole way through until today when I was attacked by Wayne re a miss communication on their end on when I was returning the vehicle. When I voiced that I felt her was being aggressive and rude he still contined to attack me to the point I hung up. When I got there he was no nicer. Thank goodness I had my father in law with me. Wayne admitted it was the companies fault as to what happened yet still felt to continuely attack me until the keys were handed over. I'm still in shock.
