ANZ Bank Home Loans Questions & Answers
Hi Hoping for people’s answers to the below - how long did anz take to provide you with pre approval - how long did anz take to provide you with final approval - expenrices with construction loan, we’re anz late to pay the build construction payments and if yes how late?
I’m still waiting for a pre approval on a second mortgage with ANZ. I’ve been waiting 4 weeks and still haven’t heard anything. I’ve got good income, great credit and a rental income so have no idea what the hold up is.
I applied for my first home loan in 2019 with anz and it only took 2 weeks to get the pre approval. Not sure what the delay is now, maybe the Homebuilder grant?
Hi, Just wanted to see if anyone is currently awaiting final approval or have been approved. We have been pre approved but we have a guarantor. Want to know how long you have waited to get the final approval. Also if you have finally settled the property was there any issues through the settlement getting the funds? Thanks
Hi I didn't have guarantor, my finance from application submission to approval took almost 9 weeks with different excuses from Xmas holidays to ANZ centre in India being short staffed! My application with Anz approved but I went with other financier anyway for better rates!
Thanks for that. So does that mean you could’ve been in the cooling off period for 9 weeks?
Hi Joanne ours took around 9 weeks too with no guarantee but when we went with CBA it was a week turnaround
Been waiting 5 weeks and heard nothing Went with NAB for our last loan and heard back within 1 week
Yep, waiting 4 weeks now and still no word. I might go to NAB.. actually I haven’t found NAB great just for general banking!! I’ll have to wait this one out, as I bank with both anz and nab and have Anz to be better than nab.. we’ll that was until now lol...
Also, Maybe they’re waiting for the responsible lending law to be axed at the end of March haha.
My home loan top up get rejected 2 months ago, can I apply again ?
Why have you outsourced your monitoring and assessing of home loans to India when they have no idea how Australians run businesses? We have banked with ANZ for over 20 years, had 3 home loans with this bank and all have been paid out. Now with a 50% cash deposit, we are told by Indian Assessors that they don't understand how an IT Specialist who runs his own company and has done now for over 20 years how we are going to afford the loan by moving interstate. IT Specialist who works remotely and goes all over the country and overseas. Plus, we had pre loan approval for buying our new house. ANZ, you are driving your customers away in droves. If we don't get the home loan from you, we go to another bank who will more than happy service us with a loan. Even your own Australian Business Developer (from the ANZ) doesn't understand what the Indian Assessors are going on about. Think about this: DO YOU WANT TO LOSE MORE CUSTOMERS? If this is how you want to run your financial organisation, you are guaranteed to lose out to other banks. This loan approval is now into Week 3. Not happy.
How long do i have to wait for a simple answer?
Approved or not after reading these reviews maybe 6 days isn't long enough to be left in limbo.
Communication is dreadful do i need to apply some where else
After 3+ weeks (and after us following up on it each week) were we told "oh yeah, you have been approved but the paperwork will take a few days". The person handling our loan has changed once so far. We returned signed forms but are now waiting on the 'Verification Team' (which I am sure is code for something) before it can be finalised. The wait continues, an agonising month on... No renovations before Christmas for us
They promised 5 business days to get an approval, real - it was about 12 to get a response. Their process is shady.
