Hi I have noticed discoloured brown water leaking from the top where the anode is. Does this generally mean that the Anode should be replaced? And if so what is the part number I need for this? It is still working and is only a trickle at most. It’s a 2014 model.
Hi Hayden, We are sorry to hear about your experience and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. So we can provide the correct details, can you please email through your full name, productreview username, best contact number, address where the unit is installed, model number and serial number to help@dux.com.au so we can call you back, talk through the issue and try and resolve it for you?

Where is the reset switch
Hi Tracey, Thanks for raising your question. The reset switch can only be accessed by a suitably licensed tradesperson due to potential electrical shock hazard. There may be other factors causing the thermostat to trip out, we would suggest contacting your local electrician or talk to our After Sales & Service on 1300 365 115 Option 2 and they will refer you to our local Service agent.

Is there a replacement system for the same which I can reuse the existing plumbing
check the link below, there is an installation diagram and measurements, see if the Rheem 80L fit your existing piping setting, good luck. external link .
Hi Vineeth, It's our pleasure to answer your question. The 80T136 is the replacement, the plumbing might need only a few mm of adjustment, if at all. Please us know if you still have questions so we can address immediatey.

What is the question
installing pipes
Massive electricity bill that I'm attributing to the water heater (which I've set to lowest temp on thermostat). I see it's a 2007 model - would you agree it would be chewing up power?
Hi Jane, Thanks for raising that question. Unusual high energy use - if there is no corresponding high water use, could possible indicate a leaking tank, a slow leak there could possibly be causing the thermostat to come on more than normal.
So we can understand the specific details can you please email through your full name (state this username as well), best contact number and serial number to help@dux.com.au so we can call you back, talk through the issue and try and resolve it for you?
Many Thanks,
The Dux Team
I have not used other brands of hot water system, so there is no comparison of power consumption. But the Dux I had last for almost 16 years and worked well. Compared to the electricity bill, purchase and install a new hot water heater cost at least $1700+ , so to me, the life of the hot water system itself is more important.
Thanks for your reply. My parents have never had an issue with this unit either, until I moved in! I have a feeling it could be the thermostat as despite being set to lowest temperature, the water is very hot
Our dux profLo was purchased and installed 3 years ago. Since then we have had constant clanking in our pipes when we turn the hot tap on and off and about 3days ago it started leaking out of the bottom of the tank. I checked all the things it says in the owners manual but we have had to shut the water off to the house as we are just emptying bucket after bucket. Do I need a new tank or a complete new system?
Best Regards,
Kym
