Hi Fiona, thanks for your enquiry. Build times can vary from 20 - 42 weeks depending on factors such as home design and the status of land. The pre-construction timeline typically takes 6 months and is heavily influenced by factors such as council timelines, selections and BASIX approval. To get in touch with our team regarding your enquiry, please visit our website below. Thanks, Steffi - Montgomery Homes external link

We are building a holiday home in Nelson Bay, and have been told 50 plus weeks. It is a technical build. Just watch for all the extra's they slap on you every time you ask a question! I think we are at $3k + which we were never told about! The salesperson you want to talk to is Luke, he has been amazing! It is everything afterwards that has been interesting and disappointing.

Hi Everyone, Wanted to hear from you all who have built with Montgomery homes and have lived in more then 6-9 years. How is your experience leaving in Montgomery home, how does the quality of the build stand in 5 to 10years? Any issues?? Any info will be useful please. We have come across Montgomery homes & are going to take a our first step but thought I check with you all who have live in their build for long time. Your feed back it much appreciated. Thanks Rhonda

We built with Montgomery 10years ago. We recently sold that home and a building inspection was carried out by the new home owners prior to purchasing. The building inspector took 3hrs trying to find any 'faults' with the home (and it was comforting to learn there were none!) We have decided to build again with Montgomery purely for this reason and their reputation of building good quality homes!

Thanks for the info Willow. That is good hear that you were happy . Can I ask you built in where Sydney or somewhere else in nsw . And also how was the building process . Did it take longer to build than given time or was in time & was it in budget what was quoted . And were you happy with finishes over the years living ( or there were issues here and there ) Sorry , to ask so many questions , it is bit nerve recking as building for first time ) Thanks

Why is it like pulling teeth trying to get inclusions that are standard. You have to send enquiry then wait to talk to someone, why?. Also why is it not written on website your warranties for structural, can only fine 13week after handover report check. Should not be so hard. Mojo, beechwood etc have it readily available. Also your suppliers should be listed. painful

Hi Kris. We're sorry to hear it hasn't been easy to get your hands on our inclusions brochure. If you could send us an email at clientcare@montgomeryhomes.com.au we'd be happy to share these with you.

Have Montgomery increased their prices post homebuilder announcement? I see their price list is as at 1 July 2020. Does anyone have a copy of the 2019 price list?

Have you’ll had a good experience with Thynk tiles, the place where most builders use for tile selection .The reviews are not the best so I am a bit worried

No complaints on the quality of their tiles so far.

We moved into our new Montgomery home in Jan 2019. Immediately we noticed huge problems with all of our tiled areas... grout missing in sections, grout crumbling away, cracked tiles, tile lippage, and patterned tiles that don't line up. We had to go through 5 months of having a new tiler in the house for two days a week making repairs. We are still left with the issue of tiles not lining up on two walls in two separate bathrooms. Montgomery and Thynk refuse to fix those last sections because they tell us its just an optical illusion (!!!!!). The reality is that it would cost them too much to do the repair properly - shower screen and fittings removal, vanity mirror removal, bath taps removal, potential for entire floor to also have to be redone if they damage a couple of tiles while doing the repairs (because they don't have any from the same batch). We will be taking legal action.

We are about to build with Montgomery and have found out they don't do any Telstra work. Just wondering how everyone gets their phone/internet points put in? Surely it's easier to do it during the construction phase rather than after. We asked them why they don't do it and they replied that there are so many companies/competitors etc that they leave it up to the client....

Montgomery Homes

Hi Lane Lee, your phone and internet points are included in the electrical plan that you devise with Your Home Consulting and are installed during rough in of all electrical during the construction phase. The standard is to always include at least one phone line/point. If you'd like to discuss your build in more detail please contact us on build@montgomeryhomes.com.au

My wife and I really like the look of the Montgomery Carolina, can anyone give us an idea of the build cost with most upgrades? we would have asked the sales rep at the display home but didn't want to be hassled for an hour!!

Montgomery Homes

Hi Damian, thanks for your enquiry. There are a few factors to take into account when it comes to pricing, such as the best inclusions package for you and the location of your proposed home. If you could kindly email clientcare@montgomeryhomes.com.au with this information, we will be able to send you the most accurate information for your situation.

Why is it one of the clients in this page said they get sarking and then i was told by my project manager that sarking does not need to be done and they aren't doing it on my house even when we wanted it? I have to say our experience hasn't been great so far, a lot of extra costs involved, not very good customer service and have been plain out told it will be going over contract due to Montgomery Homes lack of tradies brick layers to be exact.

Montgomery Homes
Montgomery Homes   DM

Hi Rach21, thanks for your feedback. The outcome will depend on the type of roof you are having built which may differ from other clients' builds. We would like to clear up any confusion relevant to your individual home and ensure the correct outcome.

Customer services is one of our highest priorities, we are disappointed to hear your experience doesn’t reflect this.

As we can't determine your client details from your product review profile, could you kindly email build@montgomeryhomes.com.au

We would like to resolve this and any other queries you may have as soon as we can.

Thanks,

Steve B

We had a concrete tile roof installed and sarking was included. It was not an optional extra. This is mainly about exclusion of water and dust. This was discussed with Montgomery during the build. I suspect that it may not be necessary with a colorbond roof where an insulation layer is more important. I am not a builder though.
