Hi. Enquiring has anyone built with Perry Homes in the last 8 yrs and had any issues with the build ? Seems once the 7yrs are up Perry Homes doesn't want to communicate. Waterproofing, cracking etc
Looking for thoughts and experiences on building with Perry Homes Mid North Coast - Coffs - Port Mac area?
Hi Perry Homes, I was wondering why the recent negative review got removed? You see, I believe that no builder have 100% positive reviews and that great builders are, the ones able to handle unhappy customers and turn a bad experience into a good one. I wasn't shocked by the content of the negative review and was looking forward to seeing how you were going to address it. I wanted to see if we were right to consider PH. But now that it is gone, I wonder what happened and only have my imagination to make my own mind. And naturally, lack of transparency doesn't lead to positive thinking. I hope I am wrong.
Hi Caroline, Our sincere apologies, somehow, we missed notification of your question. I am not sure why the review was removed. Product Review is an independent website and we have no control over who posts a review. What I would say is that it is likely that the individual chose to remove it or else it went against Product Review’s Posting Guidelines. Best wishes, The Perry Homes Team
Hi Perry Homes, These reviews although many are 5 years old are worrying to me. I spent hours with one of your consultants yesterday and am hoping now praying that you have better contractors now than you had then.
Hi Fiona, I live in Newcastle and couldn't havecasked for better tradies. I have at the end an exceptional build with quality workmanship. One of the first questions I asked my sales consultant was how long had the supervisors been with them and also the tradies. I had a fab supervisor. Can only speak as to my build but wouldn't hesitate to build with them again
Hi beagliermum, I'm a maltese/chihuahua mum at the moment (foster carer), thank you for this review. I'm building on the Mid-North Coast. I hope I get the same supervisor. Do you remember his name? My previous build with another company was a disaster.
Hi Fiona, we just completed a build & had a great experience, we had great trades all the way through, Perry only has 8-9 homes on the go with each superviser, we build 18 months ago with another builder who had up to 20 homes on the go, so this that one had a lot of delays
Thank you, Always reassuring to read current reviews. One lady who is building in the same development responded this morning. She also has had a great experience. I'm excited again.
Hi Fiona, I'm hoping to start building this year? How did your build end up going? Kg

Your thoughts about Perry Homes in Port Macquarie?
Hi Kim
I built in the hunter valley so I can't say what their Port Macquarie team is like BUT from my dealings with Perry Homes as a whole I can't imagine their various locations would differ much in the service and quality you receive.
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has built with Perry Homes in Grafton recently? What was your experience?
Cheers!
Regrettably I built with Perry Homes near there
Who on here has had trouble with perry homes Australia? If no review has been done by yourself, can you please do one so we can consult with each other. I am yet to complete my review. My house is nearly 3 years old and it's cracking to pieces.

Where abouts is your mums house?
I just build home with Perry homes. But hard to get occupation certificate. Last week they told me that I need here retaining wall. Now I don't have much money and the cost for these all things nearly $29000. And I am really disappoint with Perry homes that they are not responsible for occupation certificate. So be careful before go ahead with Perry homes.
Dear Pardeep, We do all that we can to assist with obtaining a client's Occupation Certificate, however, at times some items not included in individual contracts may form part of the Occupation Certificate requirement. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further as we are eager to help resolve this for you. Kind regards, Greg Stocks Area Construction Manager
Any reviews on perry homes in newcastle?
Not many people know of product review. Beware of this builder. So many people's lives change after you build with perry homes. Lies lies lies is all you get.
Is this based in newcastle experience or elsewhere
Every where Paul. Dodgy engineer and dodgy builder who abuse as2870 and take your money and build a sub standard home.
Thanks mate.goid to know
Terrible builder, we have been in our house 6 months and have had the worst 18 month process. We are in Newcaslte and definitely would not recommend Perry Homes to anyone.
DON'T build with Perry Homes! Good friends have built with Perry in the Newcastle area and have had nothing but problems with their house. When trying to get Perry Homes to fix their many issues the staff have been rude, condescending, and very unprofessional.
Would like to know the cost of building per m2 in Bangalow area. Thank you!
I have a three year old house ongoing issues since it was nine months old. Today i have cracks in foundations every room. I'm very disappointed that in australia a house can be built outside standards and the company doesn't care. Or their quality of repairs are noy up to standard.

How do I send you a message on here?
Can't find in all the paperwork on the wording if we pay or they pay for the power bill during construction. Perry put power on in our name but as its not our site.. feel we shouldn't have to pay it... whats everyone else dealings with power costs?
Your house, you pay
Depends on builder's you have to do research before you build as to no what to put in contractct. Metricon has electrical in there name but will never build again with them hen's the price point, you will pay for it its just how it's done. I had so many problems with metricon, if the power bill was the only problem I had on that house would have been HAPPY.. With Perry had no problems just always do your resurch it pays to have a person do the hand over inspection no matter who you build with. And advising this up front They are less likely to cut corners. You try to save a $ but they will only put it on something all's. I paid more for Metricon Home and my Perry Home is better Quolity all around. But it all comes down to the contractors they hire. As trust me some are so bad but they are trying to finish house on time. If you have to what a couple of extra weeks what as you are going to find the work worth it. If you push for time they bring in second class worker's. But always put a time in your contact to finish and then work out a amout to pay you per week if they go over. It just keeps the good worker's at your location.
has anyone used Perry homes port macquarie?? what was your experience like we are looking to build on the mid north coast
I am about to go to court with Perry Homes. Beware, they are dangerous.
We built with Perry Homes in 2002 and we have had nothing but problems We had l leak in the roof in our entrance hall ,tiles that cracked in the bathroom and now a leek from the roof into the walkin robe
Now we also have a problem with the power points in some rooms they spark when you plug things in and cause the power to surge
When we first started having problems not long after we moved in we contacted their office left messages with no responce so then we went to their display homes in Port Macquarie to speak to someone in person they took our phone number but nobody ever contacted us so in the 13 years we have lived here we have never had any responce
I would no recommend them
What is your experience of building with Perry Homes in Coffs Harbour area?
QBCC has come in to get them to move their asses. We had 5 supervisors in the end. Jobs we not overseen correctly. But I have heard of worse stories about Perry Homes, including some poor fellow with a cracked slab, that has to go to court.
Now 16 months since we started this process with Perrys. While we love most aspects of our house we did wait much longer than promised by the salesman. Some things are downright shoddy, ie the outside painting was done during wet weather, it was a rushed job and paint was skimped on. Some of the bagged paint has already rubbed off. We are still waiting for some of the "mistakes" to be rectified. It was by no means the cheapest house we looked at, just looks that way!! Our building supervisor is doing his best but some of the tradesmen in the Coffs Harbour area leave a lot to be desired. 26 November 2016
Can anyone tell me if they were given a completion date? We are building a Perry Home, 5 months into it they are saying maybe finished in 3 months. We are beside ourselves we choose Perry because 1 there cheap 2 they whack them up FAST. 8 months to build a 3 bedroom home!
My father is a builder, he can't build for the price of Perry Homes but has completed 1 house since ours was started and half way through another house.
Can I ring anyone to put in a complaints?
Any help!
Prepare for them to go over time by weeks, and be prepared to withhold the last payment until you and your father (or any other inspector of your choosing) is satisfied that the house is completed to appropriate standard. Do not pay last payment until this occurs. Prepare for not paying. They only understand money.
And if problems arise, contact the QBCC or similar to complain.
Good luck
Hi, has anyone built with Perry Homes in the Nelson Bay Area? If so could you please give us some feedback as we are considering building with them? Many thanks
My advice is don't go with them. They have build a sub par house for us. We are now off to the QBCC to sort out all the issues. If you have to go with them, then alter the contract to have more than your rent covered if you go over time, and be specific about finishes. Because they rushed the whole of our house, left exposed timber to discolor on the ground, we have uneven walls, half [bad word removed] painting, you name it. Not worth the difference in price because now our house is worth less. What a nightmare!! And I have just now found that the ventilation for rangehood and bathrooms are unsafely just ventilating into the insulation and walls!!! Lucky our house has not caught fire!!
My home is Perry built and 6 years old. I did not build the home but thought that Perry had a good name in the industry. Our home is far from quality built. We have severe footing system failure including piers not founded into suitable ground. We sit in our home can hear creeks and groans as the rear of our home sinks while we watch. We have had extensive sewer repairs due to the pipe work being laid on top of these piers and eventually cracking along with many othe defects some dangerous (electrical cables exposed). I have employed my own engineer and are now taking legal action as well as doing whatever it takes to make public the situation the purchase of a Perry home has left us. We have proved these defects and Perry representatives continue to deny the severity of our home, going as far as bringing an independent building inspector, who used Perry equipment to carry out levels and even let the Perry rep carry out the levels. These guys are pathetic, compulsive liars and need to be stopped. This has been going on for 12 months and both my engineer and Perry agree that the fix will take quite a long time rectify. We have to now sit and wait for many years before we can do a thing with our home.
We do have QBCC involved for a second time and hope that the issues will be fixed.
I want people who own a sub standard Perry home and have had major issues to contact me to help expose this company for what it really is
thanks dan
thanks i might have to look elsewhere, i have built 3 houses before (not Perry Homes) with no major issues. to old now i dont think i could handle the stress
Thinking of building with Perry Homes Ballina. Anyone has any experience with them? Any advice will be much appreciated.

I'm on the Gold Coast and they try every trick in the book to get more $ out of you once the contract is signed. Just not worth taking a chance with them to be honest which is something no one at Perry can do.
Has any one had stacker doors installed.
I have just built a new home with perrys and i am having problems with the stacker doors.
Our Perry Homes built house has fifteen aluminium and glass sliding doors that were supplied by DOWELL which is a subsidiary of BORAL and that includes four 1200mm x 2400mm stacking doors. A month after moving into our new home I noticed that the powder coating was coming of all the door sill tracks in large flakes, that tracks had a massive burr on each side, and were as noisy as hell. I removed the door from the worst affected track (all 60 KGs of it) and to my horror discovered that the wheels were made of STEEL and engaged only a small arc at the top of the ALUMINIUM track (huh?) the result….. yes, predictably….. Absolute destruction of the aluminium track.
The Dowell service guy came and replaced the two wheel assemblies on ONE door with a nylon wheel version and left me with a severely damaged track that took me an hour to clean up with a file and emery paper.
Because there were another twenty eight assemblies with STEEL wheels on the other doors I tried to get DOWELL to at least supply more nylon wheels. They said that the wheels were covered by warranty but being steel were not damaged and that the tracks that by this time were ruined were not covered by warranty.
Over the past four years I have replaced all the steel wheel assemblies at my cost and my labour and I have spent probably sixty hours of my time and in excess of $600 on this exercise.
I should point out that DOWELL WINDOWS AND DOORS behaved very unprofessionally and that Perry Homes was not to blame and built us a fantastic home at a really good price.
I went to tgere display home in Rutherford a few days ago. The stacker doors in that house also had no support under them and the track bowed of stepped on. The flaking powder coat on your house is perrys issue if raised in the 12 month warranty period.
Your contract was with perrys homes not its suppliers so they are solely responsible.
