Hi all, My rexton 2.7xdi diesel (india) after valvebody flush and ATF replacement is giving strange symptoms, if started from cold engine immediately it had a drive lag and after 2 kms hdc red comes up and reverse is not possible or after lag. After engine off, key out and starting again hdc red goes off and check engine light comes on and the drive is bit heavier. This problem is no there if you give a 5-7 min warmup idling to the engine and drive. Can anybody suggest solutions or same observation.

I have a 2007 SsangYong Rexton RX270 Sports Auto 4x4 MY07. There is a periodic issue where the amber 4WD low and red 4WD check lights illuminate on dash and the car won't shift out of low gear. The only solution is to turn ignition on and off again until it chooses to shift into normal gear (with no error lights). It mostly happens when the weather temperature is hot.

Hi my Rexton 2005 model had engine light coming on and the temp gauge would go straight up to high.The engine would not be overheated.Would wait a few minutes and start car.Temp guage would go down to normal range .Engine light would go off.We eventually had to replace fuel injector.For the last 4 months car has been going great.Last week the engjne light has started coming on and then going off.The temp guage is normal.We now have the car engine turning over but nothing happens.If we leave it for up to 20 mins the car will start with no issue.Would appreciate any help on this puzzling problem.Thankyou Kaz

I have a SSANGYONG REXTON RX270, II RX270 Auto or Manual Y200 01/2004~01/2013 4 Door SUV 4WD DIESEL 2.7 litre Turbo it wont crank over, would to know what fuse number is it to check fuel pump, I don't know anything about car's lol, I got my daughter to turn the key on while i listen to see if i could hear fuel pump i couldn't hear a thing, I has been surging for some time, I need help please as i live 20km out of town and it's my only mode of transport as i live in a rural area with no public transport, I have searched google and nothing is coming up about anything regarding a ssangyong, I need to be able to do this myself as i don't have the money to pay a mechanic at this present stage

My fuse nr 16 is blowing all the time , it goes to : a/con , blower motor and defogger . What could it be ? Its only a 7.5 amps !

I have a 2008 RX270 xdi. It randomly goes into limp mode when I turn the ignition on. The HDC light and 4WD Check lights come on. It also does it sometimes when moving transmission from Reverse to Drive. If you turn the vehicle off then restart it the HDC light and 4WD check lights go off and the Engine Check light comes on but the vehicle drives normally. The Engine check light stays on for a day or so then goes off.

Hi I have had the car less than 12mnths now and have had nothing but problems with it. The engine stays on took to mechanic he put the scanner on it apparently codes that I shouldn't be concerned about but for the past 2 days it's got no get up and go. When travelling up a hill I go from 100ks right down to 40 when driving it sounds like I have watery mud on my wheels my gf currently is using it and she just drove past and I could hear it. It's also a turbo diesel what could the issue be

Hi, i have a 2007 Rexton II and the rear end is totally unstable while driving. Feels like the back is trying to overtake. Or suddenly wobbleing around. I changed the schocks, the tires, springs but it still does it. Any clues?

David, my rexton engine is not starting, when never I tend the key on ,I see the lock key sign on . What could be the problem? Can the diesel filter cause that?

Hi. Appreciate your advice. My 2009 Rexton Diesel lacks fast excelleration power. It drives through the gears ok. Mechanic said that the DPF is blocked & a good run on the freeway for 39 min should fix the problem Well an hour later of freeway driving, the problem is still there. No too confident with my Mechanic as he lacks make/model experience. Your comments please. Regards Greg

2012 rexton lights for the air conditing mode display are very hard to see,how can they be made brighter

What keeps the transfer box activated?

In The last 5 years by SsangYong rexton has had it's fan belt either partially or fully wrapped up in the motor. last Friday week they just replaced my fan belt and also a couple of the small flywheels one was very flaky and the other was really rough on one edge I think they've replaced it with a smoother one. Is 1 meant to be really rough on the edge? And last Tuesday part of the fan belt was chewed up again. Do you have any solutions to this problem?thank you.

replaced brake pedal switch with ssanyong original part witch also cam with a short wiring harness to adapt to the updadet switch but now have no cruise control cant find any fuses have tryed disconect battrey to reset any thing and removing the memmory fuse wondering if it is not reciving signal from new brake pedal part

Hi, have ABS, EBD and ESP light that is comming on, when driving the car, also the speedometer jumps between 30 and 60kmt when driving in 60kmt when I push the brake pedal, they ale disappear, have also exspriens that I lose communication Whit the gear box when driving the car Whit this problems, just locked in one gear, any clue on what could bee the problem? also the engine lights come and goes, have had a computer on the car and it's said its injectors nr4 this is a 06 270xdi automat gear Car.

I've put new and correct front left door assembly in, but now it won't stay locked.

Hi Everyone, I have a 2006 Rexton XDI 270 Auto. Which does not have traction control but as soon as I’m off road and it detects any loss of traction it starts to pulse and makes it harder to go through soft sand, is it the ABS system and is there a way to Delete? Thanks Stephen.
