Also, being in an apartment made the job that much more difficult. Tom (The Reliable Guy) was able to completely remove the existing damaged cabinetry and replace this with a far more up-to-date and usable solution that included modifications to allow for the electrical panel and hot water tank.

Due to the necessity of coordinating this renovation work with a plumber and electrician, timing was important and Tom's skills, professionalism and punctuality were much appreciated and we couldn't be happier with the result.

The new cabinet solution looks modern and appears to seamlessly flow on from similar cabinets in our kitchen. We really appreciate the care taken with little details like matching up the handle layout to ensure symmetry and visual appeal. Tom also provided an attractive solution to cover up some exposed pipes extending across the ceiling. In addition, a clear quote was provided in advance that we were happy with, timings were as agreed upon and all rubbish removed/area cleaned as they worked. Callum was really helpful, went the extra mile to find us a window/wall unit installer (no electrician needed). Most installers only want to do split systems. Also went the extra mile to arrange delivery of the unit.

(2) Very happy with our installer, Rob from RMS Handyman. Rob came out to inspect before quoting. Very reasonable quote was accepted and booked in. Got a courtesy phone call from Joni when he was running a little late on the day, which was appreciated. The unit was installed very well in good time and without issue.

(3) Air conditioner was installed yesterday. Turned the air conditioner unit on using both the remote on/off button and the on/off button on the air conditioner panel. Air conditioner working. Minor hiccup. Remote control buttons weren't engaging any of the air conditioner functions at first, with the exception of the 'lights' button (lights up the air conditioner electronic panel). Depressing the 'lights' button turned off the panel lights and very weirdly also turned the air conditioner off. That happened a few times. Decided to fiddle with the remote's batteries and try again. All the remote functions are now functioning as they should. Tried again this morning and the remote is still functioning as it should. I suspect the remote battery connections were involved somehow but the issue hasn't repeated. Apart from that, the air conditioner itself is good and powerful, operates quietly for such a big unit, and is functioning as it should. It won't really be getting a proper work out until Summer but I can perceive it will do the job very well.

Overall we're very happy with the unit and the entire purchase / install experience.

Jarod was prompt with returning my msgs. He was polite & respectful and although he was a little late he sent me a msg..he didn't leave me hanging. Told me he would be another hour and turned up 10 mins later. His rates were reasonable and he offered senior & pensioner discount. I am very happy with the job Jarod did for me which involved dismantling the pine bed and removing the legs, cutting them to the height I wanted even though he suggested something different.
