had changed hands but took a gamble. I received a reasonable quote from [Name Removed] to do some simple storm damage repairs in Karana Downs but he didn’t quote for some work he would outsource. He invoiced for the quoted work despite a two week pause in the middle of the job. I paid the invoice to discover he hadn’t completed the quoted work. He wouldn’t respond to texts and now he has blocked me. Don’t waste time on these guys, shonky as.

Quote process was ridiculous – Not happy with the quote process. 1. Phone call at 8.15am Monday morning is just a tad early. 2. I book in time for a quote at 1pm Tuesday. I had to… Read more

rearrange my work schedule to accommodate this time. 3. My whole morning is aligned to this 1pm time, I’m juggling work and kids. 4. 5 missed calls starting from 11.45pm. I was on a work call and I kept being interrupted by this business to the point that my work call was cut off! 5. Then off my work call I see a message advising person coming just after 2pm when appointment was 1pm. 6. I confirmed that time was fine and expressed dissatisfaction that I had planned my whole day around a 1pm appointment! 7. Then I get another phone call! That’s when I said enough is enough I do t need this hassle of just getting a quote! If you are employing some business to help with appointment setting and Google search ads please rethink this approach. What a hassle just to get a quote. I can’t image the hassle of completing the job!

Thank you! And my chip had specific issues, so please don’t read this as a reason to not request a quote from them.

quotes and smooth talking may seem appealing, but don’t be fooled!

Within just a few days or months, you’ll start to see the true quality of their work, and it’s far from impressive. What you’ll get is the ugliest outcome, leaving you to pay even more to hire a professional to fix the mess.

Attached are the photos taken three months after his work—please notice the leveling of the grass and wood! While they may showcase photos and videos of seemingly well-done projects, I’ve reached out to several others who have had similar experiences, and they are equally dissatisfied. Every piece of work done feels like it was completed by someone who learned from YouTube rather than by a skilled professional.

Don’t waste your hard-earned money! Proceed with caution if you’re considering hiring them.

Jarod was prompt with returning my msgs. He was polite & respectful and although he was a little late he sent me a msg..he didn't leave me hanging. Told me he would be another hour and turned up 10 mins later. His rates were reasonable and he offered senior & pensioner discount. I am very happy with the job Jarod did for me which involved dismantling the pine bed and removing the legs, cutting them to the height I wanted even though he suggested something different. Thanks Jarod. I believe Jarod works between Mandurah and Bunbury. I can highly recommend this tradie!!!

EXPENSIVE FOR AVERAGE JOB – I had two pieces of cornice fall off from a corner in the kitchen - the total length would have been less than 1m. Both pieces were undamaged, and… Read more

only had to be re-affixed. Found Wayne the Handyman on a local website. He did quote a price of $300 to put them back which I thought was expensive, but I needed the job done. He turned up on on time as agreed, and completed the job within an hour just by nailing back the cornice lengths and adding a bit of plaster. So for the $300 I got a few nails and a bit of plaster, and as he lived close, no travelling expenses - really it was all "labour" for one hour. The job itself was average and will need sanding and painting He did adjust a back door hinge which took 10 minutes.

I say it was expensive as I've had a qualified electrician (and his apprentice) install a ceiling fan and replace a light switch for $160 labour for one hour, and a plumber replace laundry taps for $120 labour for one hour.

poor standard of work, even worse customer service – We hired them to remove 3 existing fences and replace them with corrugated good neighbor fences and new driveway and garden gates. When they stated… Read more

that they had finished, we had a list of 10 items that still needed attention such as rubbish not cleared up, garden gate not straight and jamming when closed, capping attached on one side only, locking bolt missing from one of the driveway gates etc. It took over 6 months and a number of communications to get them to come back and attend to these problems. When they were finally fixed, we had trouble with one of the driveway gates scraping on the concrete driveway. Again, difficult to get them back to fix this. A short period of time after they fixed this by trimming iron off the bottom of the gate, it happened again. Same problem getting them back. After they eventually trimmed more iron off the bottom of the gate, it happened again for the third time. They refused to admit that there was a problem and just ceased communication. I reported the incident to the Office of Consumer and Business Services and they gave me some advice which I passed on to the contractor. Eventually, after telling them that I would pay for another contractor to assess the problem and give me a report and that I would seek a refund of the cost of that report and the recommended remedial action from them, they came back and trimmed more iron off the bottom of the gate. I stated that because the gate kept falling that the problem was obviously that the weight of the gate was pulling the support post over. They had denied this previously but this time agreed and have promised to replace the post if it happens again. I did not appreciate having to waste so much time in communication with them and with the Office of Consumer and Business Services and having to threaten legal action to get them to support their work. I would strongly suggest to anyone thinking of using them (they have changed their name to BHS Building and Handyman Services ), to look elsewhere.
