Typically, how long would it take to be connected from the time of ordering for a recently built house? (Our new house is in Geelong. )
Hi Jay, This is a good question and depends on various factors, such as what connection may be available to you and the availability of technicians. To be honest, there's no set answer here - we recommend organising a connection as soon as the property is ready to accept one. Bear in mind that this might take anywhere from a week to several weeks, depending on the wholesaler and what works may need to be carried out. If its our Ultra Broadband service, we'll check the address first to ensure availability and run a secondary service qualification as well.

Does it come with a phone service
Hi KGM,
Yes, this does come with a VoIP service.

Yeah, but if your internet is down, you have NO phone. Others with unstable internet have been told (if they are to be believed) that even the ombudsman could do nothing but advise them to get a mobile phone (if you are lucky to be in a metro area). Remember you have to give a verbal waiver to iinet that you do not hold them responsible for bad phone service due to the lower reliability of internet service compared to the old landline.
Does it work without a landline pug in
Hi Jason, Our Ultra Broadband products come in three flavours: * iiNet Cable (available in the Geelong, Mildura and Ballarat areas of VIC) - no landline is needed. * VDSL2, available in the ACT. his does require a landline.
* iiNet FTTB, available in selected buildings. This requires a landline as well.
Hope this helps!
