Hi, I'm heading to Japan for a ski trip and I have searched through numerous insurance companies. Tick Travel Insurance appears to be substantially cheaper than most companies and I am curious as to why that is the case?
Hi Mauve, Thank you for your question. At Tick Travel Insurance, we offer a range of coverage options that are suited to specific needs, such as the Winter Sports cover that you are inquiring about. If you haven’t already done so, please consider reading our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) which outlines all the inclusions, exclusions, limits, and other details policy related to determine if our coverage aligns with your needs. You can also find our PDS via the link below: external link Kind regards, Robert
Yes it does seem incredibly cheap. So how did they get the Canstar rating. In all our travel I have only had to make one claim. It took 8 months to settle so I am not sure they are so different. It is extremely difficult once you get home especially if you don't have all the required documentation even thoughyou think you do. . In our case they question the hire company's excessive charge to us. They were right to do so. They were made to produce receipts and they were profiting from it.I also question the excess per person per event. That doesn't seem legal via consumer law in Australia. It certainly does make one think.
Will be riding an 800cc motorbike in Norway, then moving on to the UK and Ireland for self drive and train tours of Scotland England and Ireland. Will the top cover policy cover me for all that travel including motorbike riding?
No, they don't cover bikes, only cars
Hi there, I am about to buy a travel insurance and when I was checking the review for Tick Travel, it looks like good reviews are from the people who have not had any claim. All people who have had a claim gave single star. I am concerned as we buy insurance for bad times and if every claim is going to be declined then what is the purpose of buying an insurance. Can you please provide any official data of claim settlement ration i.e %age of successful claims for example out of 100 claims 94 were settled which mean ratio is 94%.
Help much appreciated

The price is important but the claim handling is where a company is truly measured. My question being what is the average turn about time for an accepted claim covered via the policy wording. Ian R
