are still items remaining to be sold. These timelines may be standard, however with no communication whatsoever, it's impossible to know.
One item was randomly sold outside of model car specific sales and miscategorised. Despite following up and pointing out the mistake, I received no response and the item sold for 30% of its value. My follow up communication has not been answered.
I have requested my options to collect the remainder of my items but have received no response.
For those that have sold, while higher value items performed ok, many items sold for very low values. I would recommend anyone in a similar position use a specialised auction house with a significant model car audience available or ebay.

that, I was searching for dog toys (globally) and when I changed from low price and postage to high, every single listing had fake items with a low price just to get in the results. - For example a $1.99 item which was listed as "do not buy" but the item they were actually selling was $26.
just look at these results

You will find that 90% of these business listings use this tactic to come up on the search results, which only frustrates a buyer as they have to go through hundreds of results just to fine a legit one at a reasonable price.
Not worth reporting, they just disregard this and say there is no violation, when there clearly is.

number of occasions I have driven final sale prices higher through active bidding, even where I was not the successful bidder.
On one previous occasion, I arrived on a Saturday to collect an item I had won and between leaving home and arriving for collection, a “storage” fee had appeared. The staff member removed it immediately, explaining that the fee is typically added late Saturday if items remain uncollected and no one turns up. She said as I was clearly there to pick it up, she was removing the charge. That made sense.
This time, I purchased a small lot of copper coins (value $20) so my kids could see what currency used to look like. The auction was dated 6 January 2026 and occurred across the Christmas period. I was working, but I PAID on 9 January (no collection fee had been added) and booked collection for Monday 12 January using their system.
No storage fee appeared on Saturday, either.
On Sunday — when they are closed and collection is not permitted — I received an email advising that a $20 “storage” fee had been added and instructing me to collect the item immediately. Odd, given I had booked using their own system. The instruction to collect immediately was an override of my booking via their system, apparently, as I was meant to pick it up immediately even though they were closed.
Their own terms distinguish between:
• Clause 1.2 — $5 per lot per day if not collected within 48 hours of the auction date. • Clause 2.5 — flat storage fees (1–5 lots = $20) only where items are left unpaid & uncollected. (*note, "UNPAID")
They refer to both clauses in terms of collection.
My ITEM was PAID. Collection had been booked. It was not unpaid & uncollected.
If Clause 1.2 applied, that is a $5 per day calculation if they were being rigid — not a flat $20. If Clause 2.5 applied, the trigger condition was not met.
Separately, the $20 “storage” charge bears no obvious relationship to any actual storage cost. The collection area is open and accessible. The item was low-value and required no special handling. The storage fee equalled the value of the item itself.
Nevertheless, I was required to pay $20 to retrieve a $20 item. I queried the charge on several occasions and they insisted on the full "storage charge" of $20. It was not removed.
They have lost a loyal customer. I have previously spruiked them to various people on social media.

Useless – They provide no customer service, if your seller doesnt send you your item bad luck! Good bye money... if you are gonna buy off this site only spend small amount because there is no guarantee that it will arrive at all. And no chance of a refund.

expecting the return to be handled as instructed — including shipping. At no point was it made clear that return shipping would no longer be covered.
Only after going through the process was I told that this policy had changed. This feels misleading, as the app guidance hasn’t been properly updated to reflect this.
If policies change, they need to be clearly communicated upfront so users can make informed decisions. Otherwise, it puts buyers in a frustrating position where they’re out of pocket despite following the platform’s own instructions. Disappointing experience and not what I expected in terms of transparency or customer support.

"winnings", they suddenly have problems accepting payments; "failed payment" prompts appear advising to contact Customer Support. Who then question your ability to pay and ask if you have enough money!.
Continuous delays and excuses follow for not delivering the item "won" and paid for: "technical problems", "logistic issues", "backlog". Bottom line: NO ITEMS DELIVERED (since August 2016) but still being actively auctioned.
RED FLAG: suspect computer generated bidders or insiders are used as there are at least 4 consistent "winners" who win identical products repeatedly in all auctions.
Complaints to customer support are useless as they have no authority. After months of requesting, demanding and escalating complaints I finally got through to a "Manager"- [name removed] - who failed to follow through, refused to respond to emails, then I was LOCKED out of my account. All money and bids placed lost. My ID still appears as a bidder and as a previous winner (despite having no access to credits paid to my account or having received any won items.
Further Misrepresentation to the Public include delays which mislead you into thinking that something is being done, "please be patient" is only a tactic to surpass the time limit for reporting complaints to Credit Card Companies for intervention.
Bidtoro site shows they abide by a "code of conduct". It's certainly not any professional or legal code as there is NO TRANSPARENCY, hallmarks of Fraud, breach of Civil Law and Trading Standards.
The reporting and escalation process is convoluted and designed to frustrate consumers. The site leads the public to believe they are an Australian company when in fact they are a subsidiary of an umbrella company based in Isreal. The show the "Operator and Management" Systematic Trade Ltd is located in Leigh on the Sea (U.K.) but they actually operate out of Gibraltar which isn't governed by U.K. Laws.
If anyone knows how to start a Class Action Suit, count me in.

Get another email later the same day saying he has seen my Facebook reply and has cancelled my opportunity to sell with them and wants my baby and bank account details to refund my money. I state very clearly the money needs to be refunded the same way I paid as no one at collecting cars should have my bsb and account details. I email collectingcars.com in the UK direct several times before I finally get someone to action the issue. Rep is still not apologising or reflecting on his performance or behaviour, so would I recommend NO as customer service should be way better
Typical con artist running a well organised scam – They plant their own people in the crowd to put fake bids to raise the price on junk items. The best example is to bid 85 dollar coffee machine when you can buy them for 50 at any super market.

us, deliberately giving guarantees to me, went out of their way to mislead and deceive, I had never auctioned anything before, but I can make adequately informed decisions. Items worth many many thousands of dollars sold for a few 100 dollars in their hands, whilst they deliberately deceptively gave assurances / guarantees that it would never happen. I wouldn't have minded if they had been honest with me but they weren't.
The "Office of Fair trading" (see attached) found they broke the law but Ritchie Brothers could give a rats, they will rip you off they think they are above the law. I will post more updates as available.
As a former Member of Queensland State Parliament I don't scare easily, they tried threats to cover their tracks, sadly for them I had exercised my rights and recorded my conversation with them, when I advised them they attacked me, telling me it was illegal to record our conversation, they would doing anything to hide their unconscionable conduct.

they fail to disclose that there is a reserve price and that their vendors hold firm prices on the products that go to auction. As the highest bidder all you achieve is being able to further negotiate on a set reserve advised after the auction. Its basically like selling their vehicle on carsales but a scam to get people interested by starting the auction at low prices to attract buyers. The price of a vehicle is about the same if you were to buy the vehicle from a dealership. In fact, you are probably better off buying from a dealership seeing you get a statutory warranty, on road costs and a reputable business. Woody told me if I wasnt willing to move on my highest bid then there were other dealers willing to pay what their vendor was wanting. Mind you the vendor is the government which makes perfect sense why they are willing to do anything about these shonky auctioneers who are misleading and dont follow the guidelines.

They took two 2-3 weeks to respond. This bad start was indicative of their customer service. I should have walked away. Their response was a short: bring your items in. None of my questions were answered. After driving 1.5 hours one way to get there and struggle to find parking- I had to walk three blocks carrying these two heavy items. I brought along some estate jewellery too. Long story short the “expert” who “ appraised” my items pretty much fobbed me off suggesting other auction houses ( meanwhile I’m surrounded by other not so nice accepted items) . The look of disdain and disgust on his face at my belongings made me feel so humiliated. He even opened the door while I was still packing up! He was done with me! This attitude and behaviour is appalling. I sent him an email advising how I felt and that all his remarks could have been said on email instead of wasting my time fuel and energy ( I am a senior) to come in. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ORGANISATION.

screen shots of every single item you have won as magically "oh that now has a reserve on it, you didn't meet it". They seem to have "computer problems" in that their system removes listings instantly when you have a bargain. No other online auction is so efficient in wiping bid history. Check your invoice with a fine tooth comb because it will most likely contain errors that will take four days to fix after multiple emails, messages and calls. Forget all about thinking at any point they will answer the phone promptly, they ghost your calls even though they say they pride themselves on communication. The only way to get them to answer is ring constantly. Honestly just give them a miss if you are looking to sell or buy they are the worst.

Having recently bid on and purchased many Australia Post "large boxes of clothes" which are unclaimed parcels, I have to say I am very disappointed at being ripped off in a somewhat purposeful manner by this dishonest auction house. I thought I could trust this auction house, they seemed credible. 2 flimsy boxes arrived, which were broken and over filled and each weighing about 20kg, which were in fact, filled with clothing (rags more like) from Temu and Shein, most of the clothing STANK when i opened the plastic they were in. The employees who work at this auction house can read, and would be fully aware that these unclaimed/lost clothing parcels by Australia Post are from Temu and Shein, the bags the clothing is in indicate this very clearly, but this description was omitted from the package descriptions of the auctions online, in my opinion, on purpose to deceive and garner bids from unsuspecting people. ALL of the clothing in these 2 boxes is complete rubbish that nobody can wear. To add to this, these clothing companies in China, add to the damage of the environment, by creating a damaging carbon footprint and also add to Australian landfill which is where i will be sending these clothes tomorrow. On top of even that, I was charged $210 for Australia Post freight, I was grossly over charged but they'll say this was a handling fee. This auction house is deceptive, hides behind their terms and conditions (which only protect them and not any buyer), over charges for postage and is purposely deceptive by omission in its auction descriptions, they could have easily put "most items from shein and temu" in the descriptions, but they didn't. I didn't even need to open the boxes all the way to see that the contents were trash polyester clothing that is unwearable and from Temu and Shein. Their response to me here will surely be "you can view or ask questions". I am in another state so I cannot view, I rely on your honestly, and also you don't respond to emails. I have sent several emails with no reply. What excuses can you give for allowing this? This is not fair, and it is not ethical, what you've done.
I don't know how I am going to recoup the $500 I have lost. I am devastated.
