electric, and EVEE has been a fantastic find. I'm lucky with lots of participating EV owners in the EVEE-verse close by, tons of options and fast feedback on rental requests. Web browser interface is well designed & very easy to use. Participating owners are all great in my experience, delighted to help clients enthusiastic about the EV future, and almost always flexible about dropoff/pickup, extending the rental etc. Tolls and charging fees take a little while to work their way through the system, but again, owners relaxed about that and me too.

And the drivers themselves? Absolutely brilliant. Every single one I've had has been punctual, super friendly but still professional, and you can tell they really know their way around and know all the hidden gems of Byron. You just feel safe and relaxed. I have used them multiple times and have recommended them to all my family and friends and they have had excellent things to say too.
Definitely my go-to whenever I visit Byron Bay.

Due to some reason the trip was marked "different route, time delay" so the adjustment applied.
After few exchange Didi offered generous compensation including full refund and coupons. however I indeed am happy with the driver and the car think he should be awarded with his job not be punished empty handed because of human error/glitch, so I rated him 5 stars and tipped reasonable $$.
I would recommend Didi because of the competitive fare and customer service.

Most concerning was that the driver asked my brother (the day-of contact) for an additional $300 cash for “potential damages,” which was never agreed to in our booking. We had already paid in full. He felt pressured to hand over what cash he had on the day ($150) to avoid issues on the day.
On the return trip, despite no damages, the driver initially refused to give the money back and only did so after being pushed.
I tried to follow this up directly with the company but received no real support—only generic responses.
Very unprofessional and unethical behaviour. Be very careful dealing with these cowboys.

Frenchs Forest. I got a confirmation email. At 12:10 the taxi had not arrived, and I had not heard anything from the Taxi company. I called them, and they promise to call me back. At 12:20 I had still not seen any taxi, or heard anything, so I called again. Same answer: they should investigate and call me back. 12:30 (which was the time for the appointment I had in Sydney) and still nothing. I called them again, with same response: they should investigate and call me back. At 12:35 a driver called me and said that he was on his way. He turned up about five minutes later, but being from a different taxi company. This is the last time I have used Silver Taxis, the performance is totally unacceptable. I would put this in the testimonials, but they are obviously only open for positive comments.

Very unreliable and terrible service. Will only be using Uber from now on. Uber was also $9 cheaper in the fare.

after waiting for an hour for a car to accept the job, the taxi got within four kilometres of the pick up location.. then seven... then nine. I rang through and was told by the automated system that I'd already been picked up. I well and truly had not I was still freezing on the side of the road waiting. The operator then must have put me back on the bottom of the list because I was then going to be waiting another 17 km of travelling time before I was to be picked up. I called the customer line and asked for some sort of discount as I was now about ninety minutes from the time I placed the booking, and still had 15 minutes or so left to wait. I was told I could haggle with the driver that was my only option. I'm not going to do this, the guy is trying to feed his family etc and it's not the same driver that bailed in the prior car, so it's not his fault. And it ran the risk of an argument or confrontation and no one should have to deal with that when either at work, or trying to pay $80 to just get to the shops! I rang again and tried to explain that and was again told to haggle with the hard working driver. Any other service industry business would have offered 25% to 50% off the trip for the head ache, especially when my trips are on rare occasion below triple figure payments. An offer of a 10% discount would have made me feel like I was validated and actually heard, instead of being brushed off and made to feel as though my money and my time and my position as a "valued" customer actually meant something. Poor poor administrative work (I'm guessing this is why the original kerfuffle occured) and terrible customer service. Severely disappointed.

Baby seat is not compliant - filthy and the straps were loose around the babies shoulders. He chucked it into the car from the back of the boot and held it on with a loose seat belt. Families do not use this service!!

in service. I downloaded the Grab app while in Singapore, but my account was suspended for unknown reasons. I just couldn't use Grab at all. I sent messages after message through Grab app but upto now there is no responce. I spoke to a tec officer from Just Answer and he said he will charge me a refundable deposit of Aus $ 2 but charged me Aus $ 66, but he couldn't solve my problem after wasting my time. He wanted me to go to Grsb website and follow the prompts. But ther was no such category for me to lodge a complaint. All these guys are frauds. I had a different experience with Uber . So guys be very very careful with these guys. For emergency there is no way of connecting them.

approval came through. I still use buses and taxis for short journeys not covered by Community Transport. Over a 2 month period, I needed to wait for over an hour, on 4 occasions, for a taxi. I missed one specialist appointment and needed to reschedule and on another occasion had the $50 of meat I had bought go off while waiting for a taxi in 35+ degree heat. On 2 of these occasions I was at a Taxi Rank, at my local shopping centre. I used Taxis and not Uber on principle, as I have seen many similar industries collapse over the past decade. I now use Uber only and would advise everyone to do the same. Uber have their issues but having to wait for a long period of time is not one of them. Taxis always state "first available" whereas Uber will give you an exact arrival time and price. I have had taxi drivers add a tip, without my knowledge. Uber drivers can't do this. The Taxi industry have had about a decade to adjust to the problems that Uber have presented them, and nothing seems to have changed. I now treat Taxis as dinosaurs, extinct.
