Has anyone had to delay the start of their build recently due to land still not being registered? In Nov 2021 we paid $5000 to lock in Contract for 20 months...this expires in August this year. We have completed all of our appointments with MJH, just waiting on Land registration so that DA can be put into council. I was wondering if the contract can be extended and how much more MJH will charge per month/extra?

We will be building in the South Coast area. What would be a general time frame to commence the build after the Consolidated Tender has been accepted and signed.
Hi Jim and ChrisV, congratulations on taking the step to building your new home! There are a few steps to go through once Consolidated Tender is accepted and all your selections for finishes are completed, construction plans are drawn, engineering is completed and Basix approval is given, along with water authority approval being successful, then Council or Housing Code approval is provided. We then receive your authority to commence building from your lender, at this stage we enter your project to our construction list, order materials and instigate manufacture and start on site within 20 days.
