this. The second kettle started tripping our circuit breaker. Customer service was completely unhelpful - I tried to resolve it with them prior to posting this review. The beeping that this kettle makes when you take it off the base, put it back on, and press any button is annoying. The only beep really needed is when it finishes boiling, in my view. The script on the button labels wpies off, so you don't know which button does what after a while.
When it worked, it did what it was supposed to. Not quiet, but effective in heating water to the desired temperature. I will not buy this kettle or brand again.

It looks great but doesn't always toast evenly and I'm about to return my second one because after 8 months a fault has developed and it trips the electrical circuit in the house. The first one lasted 8 months, and now the second one has done the same thing, again at 8 months.
I'll be getting a different brand of toaster, that doesn't match my kettle now.

It has already replaced my previous fryer – Cooking in an air fryer is a big part of everyday cooking in my home so when I was sent this one to test I jumped at the chance to put it through its… Read more
paces. It was used for cooking roasts, chips, cheese toasties and packaged frozen food. As well as reheating leftovers plus takeaway like pizza, burgers and fries.
LOOKS: I’ve really enjoyed using this air fryer for the past month, it out-performs my older one in pretty much every way. To start with, it looks very nice in sleek black with a rose gold coloured handle (it’s plastic but feels good). It doesn’t have a loud, obnoxious beep like my older one did, although it would be good to be able to turn off the beeps when changing settings.
IN USE: I really like the height and size of the basket. I think the lower walls allow more air flow around the food because everything is coming out perfectly crispy. It’s really easy to clean the removable crisping tray too, although I don’t like the two holes in the centre because lots of food kept falling through them. I think there needs to be a better way to remove it without needing large finger holes. I much prefer this design of basket though, having a tray in the bottom instead of a second full basket is a lot more convenient (see photo below of basket and crisping tray).
THE TEST: To put the air fryer to the test I cooked roast pork with the skin on, something I cook regularly in my old air fryer. It turned out perfectly with a beautifully crispy, crackle on top and evenly cooked meat without drying out. I added a photo to show the results and another photo showing the heating element still perfectly clean after roasting in it.
PROS: - Cooks food perfectly evenly. - Really large basket. - Stylish design. - Very intuitive to use the settings. - Really easy to clean. - Has a useful carry handle for moving it around and storing in a drawer (but see below why it’s not always perfect).
CONS: - The handle got very hot when cooking so I couldn’t move the fryer until it had time to cool down. - Sometimes when checking food part way through it was a bit difficult to push the basket back in, it might be warping when hot. - Holes in the crisping tray are too big allowing food to fall through. - The cord wrap isn’t practical, there’s nowhere to attach the plug when wound so it just unwinds itself. - The cord is too short.
CONCLUSION: Overall I’m happy to give the air fryer 5/5 stars because it’s exceeded my expectations every time. After a month of cooking, reheating and warming food I couldn’t be happier with the results, I’ve already replaced my previous air fryer with this one.

takes no more than a minute to work out hows this air fryer works.
Having previously had two Ninja Foodi Multi Cookers over the past eighteen years, it is a joy to have a large tray and space to air fry more items at the same time. Just one issue, be aware that the the lid is very hot after use.
Highly recommend this unit - a reasonable price, easy to use and does all it says.

the dishwasher which makes it super easy to use! My previous food processor was a chore to clean manually. The processor comes with two different speeds so you can adjust it according to what you're attempting to make. I was even able to use it as a blender thanks to the included jug so I could make smoothies one day and then make sauces and dips another day. With all these seperate compartments it also means you don't have crossovers with flavours like you normally would (In a sense, the smoothie I make won't taste like the Tzatziki I made a week ago)
I will say however it seems a little complicated to put together, and other reviews of the model online seem to reflect this fact. It is a great food processor but care should be taken given the price and how the information you need to keep in mind when operating it.

was meant for me. It arrived quickly. And I was blown away by its sturdy stylish quality and overall magnificence. The clean expansive lines, tall easy carry handle, beautiful wide easy pour spout, the glossy black contrasting with the cream colour. This kettle is the ultimate in class and quality with a price to please the shopper. The legacy kettle is quick to boil and reasonably quiet. There is a little red light that shines near the bottom of the kettle. The only con would be the water level indicator, a little hard to see. But the fact that the kettle can be refilled from the spout certainly makes up for that. These are my first impressions. I've had many kettles in my 70 years but none has given me such pleasure as the stylish beauty of the Russell Hobbs Legacy Kettle

other, cheaper vacuum packing bags - you must use the Russell Hobbs branded bags.
Their vacuum bag rolls are 6m long which seems like a good amount, but once you start using them they disappear quickly, especially if you're vacuum sealing longer items like long fish fillets or root vegetables.
Doing a quick calculation I would be paying 75c to $1 per bag - it's ridiculous
I could only find Russell Hobbs branded vacuum bags that are 28cm in width. They do not offer a variety of width sizes. It's 28cm and that's it!
You need to seal and cut your own bags. So I'm paying like $1 per bag PLUS I have to make them myself by sealing and cutting them? Um, no.
The suction isn't great. It's OK if you're storing items for a short period I think, but if you want long term, shelf stable storage for a year or so or if you want to freeze something for quite a few months I would not trust it.
I'm returning this vacuum sealer. Avoid!

guess what - IT IS NO QUIETER THAN ANY OTHER KETTLE!
My existing $15 Big W Contempo kettle was the same noise level, and possibly even slightly quieter (I don't have a decibel meter to test exactly, so just judging by ear).
I know what a quiet kettle can be, as I have seen some in Asia. At this point I will probably try importing one of those. As for Russell Hobbs, after this debacle, I won't trust any of their claims from now on. Fortunately, Good Guys gave me a refund so thumbs up to them for doing the right thing by the customer.

Harvey Norman and saw the iron I simply purchased it. I hated that I had to add any Stars to do this Review otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered. I purchased this piece of junk on 28/6/2025 and used it today (13/8/2025) and I was absolutely disgusted with it. 26 years ago, when I came to Qld I had a Kambrook (I think), “cordless iron” which eventually “sucked a Kamara” so when I saw this RH cordless, I thought - great, and because it was the only one in stock, I purchased it for $20 less as it was a display model. Yes, I was told/asked about the use of a "cordless iron/vs normal" and said I understood because of the Cordless Iron I had used for many years until I dropped it. It was useless, it only stayed hot for a few seconds, and because it didn’t get hot enough to make "steam" the water leaked out. I have spent many many many $1,000’s at HN over the 26 years and I would have to say that this item should NOT even be an item they stock because seeing other “reviews” it’s a waste and is a bug negative for HN. UPDATE: Yesterday Friday 2 August I took my Russell Hobbs Cordless Iron back to the point of purchase, Harvey Norman, Bundall and voiced my disgust with this product and was attended to by a wonderful young Man [Name Removed] who was such a joy to talk with. After a short discussion he issued me with a Refund. I have to say that if Harvey Norman had more Staff Members like [Name Removed] who was polite and took the time to have a proper interaction with me then Harvey Norman's Customer Satisfaction with Service would increase hugely.

GPO. Contacted the store (The Good Guys) where I bought it and they won't replace it, expire store and manufacturers warranty. Had an electrical issue with another Russell Hobbs product(food processor) which I returned prior to purchasing the juicer. At the prices that these products sell for, they should not fault after only 2 years. Seems suspicious that these products are only offering a 1 year warranty when they develop a fault within the 1 to 2 year mark. Would be better to by something much cheaper from another supplier if this is the case.

for almost 10 years so thought it would be great to buy the same again as I had assumed the quality would be the same. I was naïve. The new one started out fine, but after around 6 to 8 weeks the thermostat stopped working so the unit would reach a rapid boil and not stop. Obviously not good or safe. Returned it to the retail store and they gave me a replacement (new). This time the thermostat was dead from the start, so again it would reach a rapid boil and just keep boiling not matter what. Decided to contact Russel Hobbs directly. They asked me to take photos of the compliance plate, cut the cord and photograph that too, and they would send out a replacement (new) as still under warranty. This arrived promptly. Although the thermostat did work and the unit would switch on and off appropriately, this one leaked from around the bottom edges. If the urn was half full (or more) then about a cup of water leaked out overnight when it was off. Once again I have been asked to cut the cord, take photos, and they will send another one out. I wonder what the fourth one in as many months will be like? If it turns out to be rubbish I will opt for a refund and try a different brand altogether.

a blue light. It was reduced from $149 to $79 at Harris Scarfe. However when I got it home... 3 problems: ONE, this kettle takes ages to fill (the instructions say "up to 2.5 minutes") because the water must seep through the bulky filter. Filling must be done in 3 stages; TWO, the kettle holds about a third less water than similar kettles because of the internal space taken up by the filter and housing; THREE: it's recommended to change the filter once a month. So a year's filters will cost almost double the purchase price of the kettle... every year! SOLUTION: remove the filter and housing from the kettle. The instructions say CAUTION! DO NOT USE THE KETTLE WITHOUT THE FILTER IN PLACE - IT MAY SPIT BOILING WATER. Of course it doesn't! This manipulative warning annoyed me so much it prompted me to write this review. My fridge has a filtered water dispenser and I fill the kettle through that. A far cheaper and quicker alternative is to buy a Brita jug and filter to fill your kettle with filtered water. As a normal kettle this functions satisfactorily. The filter feature is an appealing but inconvenient and expensive gimmick.
