Can I use Felix mobile on my ipad cellular? It’s esim compatible.
Hey danelleight, felix plans are designed and tested for mobile phone use. No worries though, you can still hotspot from your phone to your iPad!
- Larissa, team felix
Is Felix Sim compatible to be used in all mobile phones. I have a Huawei Pura 70. Can that be used?
Hey YST, we'd love to have you join us, but we can't guarantee that your phone will be compatible with our network or capable of making emergency calls using VoLTE (4G). Check out our approved device list below for a full list of compatible devices!

How do i cancel a SIM card that now is in overseas? I still have the log in in the app but there’s no canceling option?
Hi Duong, you should be able to cancel in the felix app by going to Settings > Phone and service settings > Cancel my service > Yes, cancel my service. Planning to return to Australia? You can also choose to pause your subscription for up to 242 days :)
If you don't have these options available, jump on to live chat with us via the app, felix website (https://felixmobile.com.au/), Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp and we'll lend a hand.

I want to use the mobile data for my pc on the daily for 4 hours on end
Hi Heyhey, you're welcome to use your felix service to hotspot to a personal device, like a tablet or laptop, but felix can't be used in a modem or as a replacement for home internet. For more info on this, check out our Fair Use Policy here: external link .

As far as I can tell, you can only have one SIM per account. So how do I activate a SIM for my child (under 13) if I already have a Felix account associated my own SIM? Wouldn't it be better for services like 000 emergency to have my child's details appear when they receive a call? Maybe with my contact details listed as guardian or next of kin, in case they needed to contact someone else as part of dealing with an emergency call?
Hey Terran, purchasing multiple SIMs under the one account isn't something we offer at this stage, but we'll pass along your interest! You'll be able to sign up for a new felix service that your child can use, as long as you have a separate email address.
- Larissa, team felix
Do I use my details so that I can complete the identity check? My child being under 13 has no drivers license to use for the identity check.
That's right. Children need to be 13 years and older to sign up for a service with their own details.

Hi, I’m with Felix and I live outside if the Vodafone coverage. At the moment my phone just says ‘roaming’. I moved as my friend referred me. When Vodafone’s coverage increases early next year. My question is will I be getting similar speeds to optus as Felix/Vodafone will use it’s towers? After the coverage increases, will the unlimited plan work the same in the new areas?
Hey mprou14, we're excited to be covering even more of Australia soon! We're yet to confirm the individual geographic areas that will be covered, so we don't have any extra details to share just yet. Keep an eye on our page here for the latest updates: external link - Larissa, team felix
I am trying to hotspot to my work laptop when working in the garden and it’s not working. I use home internet 90% of the time but sometimes I work outdoors. It says connected but provides no internet. Why is this the case and are there any solutions? If not I will have to move provider.
Hey Ash, there's nothing better than some fresh air, so let's figure out what's happening with your connection! felix is designed to be used as a mobile service only, but you should be able to use it as a hotspot for your laptop for personal use. If you can chat with us on the app or our website, we'll check this out. - Kristen, team felix
Hey, I'm thinking of changing to felix unlimited plan but want to know if i can use it as a hotspot at home for my computer witch use a lot of GB every month.
Hey GoPro, here at felix we offer unlimited data with speeds up to 20Mbps. You're good to hotspot to your personal devices, such as your laptop when needed, but felix can't be used as a home internet replacement or as a hotspot for other people’s devices. If you have any more questions, feel free to send us a message on Facebook or our website. - Kristen
I live in Paynesville Victoria which is country town, will I get good mobile reception
Hey Walter, it look like there is only 4G outdoor coverage available at the moment in Paynesville Victoria. You can also keep an eye out for any changes via our coverage map here: external link - Devyani, felix Care team
Hi: Under what circumstances do you start rate shaping for the "unlimited mobile data" plan?
Hey there! So our $40 Unlimited Data plan has a constant speed cap of 20Mbps, so there's no further throttling on your plan after a certain amount of usage. We will always do our very best to give you as close to 20Mbps as possible, but this depends on a range of factors such as your area's coverage or possible congestion in your area.
If you have any other questions, feel free to chat in with us through our website or the felix app, or DM us via Facebook Messenger or Whatsapp - we're online every day! - Michael, felix Care team
Before considering Felix I need to clarify that 1. I can hotspot the internet to my laptop 2. To my iPad 3. To my wife’s iPad and 3. To my Foxtel box
Hey John - You're good to hotspot to your personal devices, such as your laptop or iPad when needed, but felix can't be used as a home internet replacement or as a hotspot for other people’s devices. This means you can't hotspot to your wife's iPad or your Foxtel I'm afraid. If you have any other questions about this, chat to the team via the felix app or website and we'd be happy to help. - Jake, felix Care team
OK thanks. A pity about that.
How do you know though that I'm entering the hotspot password into my wife's ipad or Foxtel. I currently have a mobile sim that connects to everything. How is yours different?
Hey John, we have multiple ways of detecting use that isn't in line with our fair use policy. If we can see that the SIM is being used in a non-mobile device or if the SIM is being used to hotspot to multiple devices we may warn you about using the SIM in a way that isn't the intended use of the SIM. As long as the SIM isn't being used as a home internet replacement there won't be any issues there, so you can still hotspot to your personal devices when needed :) - Michael, felix Care team
I use up to 100gb a month on browsing the news, watching Netflix once a week, and visiting 2 or 3 websites a day. Is that excessive?
Provided you are using your service as per the fair use policy and terms of service, then personal mobile phone usage for browsing and netflix is totally fine. If there was ever a concern, we'd reach out to you before any action was taken on your account. - Jake, felix Care team
Jake, you told me earlier that, I couldn’t hotspot to Foxtel but now you say I can to Netflix which is, of course, an app on Foxtel. Plus what does “Home Internet” mean. I very much dissuaded at this time to switch to a provider that offers “Unlimited Data” then, limits its usage. “Best the devil you know” comes readily to mind.
Hi John, Netflix is not an app on Foxtel, it is a digital streaming service available through mobile apps and on other devices such as laptops and TVs. You cannot however, use your felix service to provide internet to your home devices such as a TV. If you are wanting to watch Foxtel online and require an internet connection to do so on your home TV, then a home broadband or NBN service is required. - Jake, felix Care team
No you don’t. I have a sim only plan at the moment and hotspot to my foxtel box where believe it or not, Foxtel have an app named Netflix. My wife also has data available on her phone plan from a different provider and “Hey Presto” I’m currently watching Foxtel hotspotted from her phone. Tasmania must be ahead of that other island to the north then?? Thanks for your help but I’ll stick to what I’ve got.
on your unlimited mobile data plan is it possible to hotspot devices such as computers to stream apps like netflix?
Hey Tamina. Yep! You're good to hotspot to your personal devices, such as your laptop when needed. Just note that felix can't be used as a home internet replacement or as a hotspot for other people’s devices. - Maddie, felix Care team
How come you can’t hotspot other peoples devices?
Hey Tamina! As felix is a personal mobile phone plan only, you aren't able to use your felix data to provide an internet connection for other people's devices. - Emalie, felix Care team
Curious as to why Felix isn't more flexible with connection sharing. There seems to be a lot of questions about this topic. Instead of a hard refusal, why not offer an option. Like paying extra that month like what is done for international roaming? Have a $10 charge to unlock connection sharing for that month. That way the choice is with the customer rather than a hard refusal from Felix. Maybe even another $10 monthly pack for customers that want to use a Felix SIM in a dongle or modem? Of course with additional terms and conditions to prevent misuse or abuse of the connection. Even if customers choose not to take up the option at least it is their choice and Felix doesn't looks so inflexible.
hi, why does my Felix app getting back and I don’t know why I have updated my phone and my app and I have do everything and nothing

Could I use this for gaming and streaming Netflix on my console?
Hey Josh, felix is for mobile use only and can't be used to hotspot to certain devices in your home (like TVs or gaming consoles). For more info on what felix is and isn't intended for, you can check out our Fair Use Policy here - external link - Devyani, felix Care team

Is 20gb speed enough
Hey, Ross! 20Mbps is great for pretty much anything you use your phone for daily. You'll be able to make HD video calls, check emails, scroll socials and even watch HD movies and TV shows. You can check out more on the capabilities of 20Mbps here: external link - Maddie, felix Care team

Do I have to buy a Molden to connect with my landline
What do I have to do to connect my landline
Hi Emanuel, I may be able to help, is your landline with Telstra?

Would Felix data speed work sufficiently for Google maps whilst travelling in the UK?
