Dealing with Adam and his team has been a pleasure—always friendly, helpful, and professional. The boats are well maintained, the booking system is easy to use, and the entire experience has been seamless from day one.

We used Fly By Fun for the second time and the whole process was super easy. The entertainer was fantastic with the kids and had so many fun activities planned. Our son absolutely loved Spider‑Man and hasn’t stopped talking about him.

through all our bags (without asking) and taking all our food out of them before we were allowed on the boat. He then put the food in the galley and told us we were not allowed there without permission. So like infants we had to ask permission when we’re hungry to eat. He also found that it was his place to tell people how they should cater and demanded the girl who’s bday it was that he will need to dock so she could buy more food because he thought she did not cater appropriately. She felt very confronted and worried she was going to spoil everyone’s time. These were just a couple of instances of the exchanges but overall he was a domineering and fairly unhappy person and when asked why he didn’t just ask everyone what they wanted was defensive and angry and threatened to dock. Was a nice day on the water but every single person on the boat ( around 30) all agreed won’t be using that particular boat ever again.

Camplify was absolutely no help although no instructions on handover were given not to use the handle to open the door. Although we reported this to Camplify with receipts and pictures we were told we have to seek compensation through the owner, who is clearly the reason we had to reach out to camplify at all. A bit of Googling and asking for recommendations gave me Holidays Afloat as a clear front runner in the field and they did not disappoint. They are very helpful in the lead up to going away, lovely and very helpful staff when you get there and checking in as you’re on your journey and then when we got back to a flat battery they saved us an NRMA callout by giving us a jump start. She did absolutely nothing for the wedding, the MC overheard the exchange (not knowing the family dynamics) and suggested to the father of the groom to make another speech to toast just the mothers without the bridal couple knowing or giving permission. I lost my home and everything I owned 18 months ago in a fire and am slowly going through the rebuilding process, which has been incredibly stressful. at Lollipop Playland, Canberra, was extremely disappointing and distressing.

During our child’s birthday party, two of the indian boys in the party aged 7 and 8 were singled out after a complaint, from a family, despite many other children playing in the same area similar way. A staff member approached the situation in an aggressive and confrontational manner, speaking loudly and publicly instead of addressing it calmly and professionally.

They immediately cooperated and spoke to the children, while other children continued playing the same game in the area. Yet the staff continued to escalate the situation and decided to put the children and the families on the show.

When questioned, the owner gave inconsistent answers about whether the behaviour was even witnessed and failed to explain why only our non-white children were targeted while other children were not questioned.

When concerns of discrimination were raised, they were dismissed, and we were spoken to disrespectfully. As we were leaving, multiple staff members surrounded us, which felt intimidating. Later, another owner contacted us and spoke in a threatening tone, placing blame on us rather than attempting to resolve the issue. No apology or follow-up was ever provided.

This experience left us feeling humiliated and discriminated against.

Based on our experience, we do not recommend this venue to families of colour, particularly Indian families.

assistance from the Wellington hotel staff was first class, with assistance, bringing our bags and the wheelchair first to our room then taking us to check in for our flight. The experience at Sydney Airport Rydges was the exact opposite. Nobody helped us to our room on arrival, meaning that I had to leave my partner in reception while I took the bags to our accessible room (for which they charged us an extra $20) then come back to fetch her from reception. The next morning, despite asking for assistance, I had to take the wheelchair to the airport, leave her there, return to fetch our cases and then I finally got to talk to the manager - Cyrus - and I was told that there were no staff to assist me. When we finally checked in the Qantas staff told us that it was standard practice for the hotel staff to contact Qantas who would then come to the hotel to assist us - too late to be any assistance to us.
