They listened and helped us get our ideas out of our head and into a financial plan. And as a member already, at a reasonable cost. We are very happy with the outcome. Can't recommend them enough.

The folks at ART that process these forms find one issue and immediately reject your request to transfer. They don't review the form its entirety and advise on the one or more issues with your completed form. I saved all the documents from last time i requested a transfer and that includes the Transfer form, Personal ID, bank statement, proof of fund name etc so I knew what I would need to do the next time. You have to mail your form to ART so there's 10 days lost. But what is really annoying this time around is that my request was rejected as I haven't included all the forms. The email I received (copy attached) says "Thankyou for sending us your incomplete form" ! But there is no mention of what forms I've not included. Remember this isn't the first time I have sent a roll over request. I didn't send an ID verification this time as the form said if you have sent it previously you do not need to send it again (within a time period with which I am within). I never sent the first 2 pages of their form as they are instructions! So what form/s have i missed off? Their useless correspondence doesn't advise me,.... Stay away from Australian Retirement Trust they are incompetent. Oh, one more thing to add,... i had an "0" birthday recently and again I received the most ridiculous correspondence from ART,.. it generally said, from memory as I was getting older ART will automatically move my portfolio to a balanced portfolio.... id be lucky to keep a $20,000 balance with them why would I bother or even need to shift some a small balance to a balanced portfolio,...... i'll say it again,.. stay away from ART.

Jenet Pyiolitis was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I arranged a call to discuss a discreet issue, but she was so good that we ended up having a much wider ranging discussion that I found really useful.

They consistently provided prompt, friendly, and genuinely helpful customer service. Every interaction felt personal, with a clear commitment to making sure I understood everything as a customer.
It's rare to find a super fund that not only aligns with your values but also delivers such outstanding support. I truly appreciated their approach over the years and would wholeheartedly recommend Cruelty Free Super to anyone looking for a compassionate and professional superannuation option.
Thank you for the fantastic service!

application, I specifically contacted customer service to confirm exactly what documentation and certification requirements were needed. I followed those instructions precisely, had my documents certified by an authorised person, and submitted everything requested.
The application was then rejected over “messy handwriting” on the certification date and because the certifier allegedly did not provide a registration number — despite this never being properly explained when I originally called for guidance. Apparently a pharmacy stamp, signature, qualification and certification are no longer enough.
I was then left on hold for over 30 minutes while staff “looked into it”, only to be told I needed to complete the entire process for a third time.
The final interaction was the most concerning part. After explaining that I would rather move my super elsewhere than continue dealing with this level of administrative incompetence, the response I received was essentially dismissive indifference and an offer to “lodge a complaint” if I wanted.
For an organisation managing people’s retirement savings, the lack of accountability, consistency and basic customer service is astounding. I will be moving my funds elsewhere. Sad after being with them over a decade

existing members rather than support them. The “care” that once defined CareSuper is no longer reflected in its actions.
As a Foundation Member of CareSuper, I joined over 20 years ago when the fund was run by professionals, for professionals. At that time, there were clear eligibility criteria that ensured members benefited from lower insurance premiums due to the low-risk profile of the membership base. Performance was strong, and the fund’s values were evident in how it operated.
The recent decision to merge with Spirit Super—whose primary membership base includes higher-risk industries such as the motor industry —has significantly impacted long-standing members like myself. As of April 2026, insurance premiums for many professional members have effectively doubled.
My personal circumstances have not changed. I remain a qualified professional, with extensive experience, ongoing membership in a recognised professional body, and a low-risk work profile. While I now work in a regional area for a boutique organisation and earn less than metropolitan counterparts, I am being required to pay the same elevated premiums as members in high-risk manual labour roles. This does not reflect my individual risk profile and is fundamentally inequitable.
I have raised these concerns directly with CareSuper, but unfortunately, the negative affect on existing members has not been given any consideration. As a result, I am left with no confidence in the fund’s direction and its commitment to its members and am in the process of transferring my superannuation and insurances elsewhere.

that the form required and provided a copy of my bank details. When I called ,I was told that the application was not received. I then had to send another form under registered cover. I received a message that the bank details were a screenshot and therefore no payment could be made. I find this as pettiness by NGS...since I provided all necessary details in the form and the bank statement was not a screenshot. I have since seriously urged someone who knows what they are doing and to respond to the present status of my claim in one way or the other. Pending on the response I will consider moving my super to another fund which may treat me better and with empathy.Members take note...this is not where you'll likely to get any reasonable service. An organisation that will frustrate you on your withdrawal...very poor service...

that rendered me unable to work, I attempted to access my default Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance. To my dismay, I was informed that I did not qualify for coverage because I supposedly did not work for a Real Estate agency. I promptly provided evidence of my employment in the sector, yet they repeatedly referred back to their policy, dismissing my eligibility.
According to their own policy, I meet all the criteria for default insurance cover: 1. I am aged 25 and above. 2. My account balance has exceeded $6,000 at least once. 3. I have never canceled my cover, nor has it ceased. 4. A contribution was made after my balance met the $6,000 threshold.
Despite this, REI Superfund has consistently refused to provide me with the necessary paperwork to access my claim. Now, six months later, they are suggesting that I withdraw my superannuation, effectively absolving themselves of responsibility.
In frustration, I contacted the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) due to their lack of response to my complaints. I also hired a superannuation lawyer who has indicated that their practices may be illegal and that this matter needs to be escalated further.
While I acknowledge that the funds are managed well financially, I strongly advise anyone considering accessing their insurance through REI Superfund to think twice. The process has been incredibly frustrating, and I fear that many others could face a similar situation, potentially leading to financial ruin before they receive the assistance they rightfully deserve.

backbone of the union movement since the BL days, safety net when something unexpected happens!! Chewed up, kicked while down and out, then kicked again by the trustee (union members) who simply rubber stamped its insurers decision to decline the claim. BussQ financial representatives treat your loved ones better than your uneducated attempt towards a member struggling with severe mental health illnesses - to the trustee all I can say is I hope you enjoyed throwing the slipper in when a member was down and is still down.......well done!! give yourself a round of applause and don't praise your efforts towards suicide in the construction industry because you pushed the member to suicide.
