charged $198. I queried this and sent them a screenshot of the advertised pricing on their website which states I would get to use 2 pieces of equipment, the massage suit and a bike, in the session. I was told the intro offer was only for use of one piece of equipment and because I used 2 pieces of equipment I pay double. This was never once explained to me or a choice offered during my 3 visits. I was only offered a choice of a lay down or an upright bike. I did argue this point and the very next day was sent a screen shot of the NEW website wording that they had obviously changed after my complaint!! They could clearly see the confusion and promptly acted, no offer of a refund or an apology, in fact denying the words had been changed just to insult me more. If this was a 50% deal then it's a very very expensive activity. In my final session I was not even hooked up to a heart rate monitor. If you plan to try it make sure prices are explained CLEARLY before you start. I have attached a screenshot of the website wording on 12/11/25 and then the new wording on 14/11/25 after my complaint about the price confusion.

keeps everyone motivated. Always friendly and helpful. She also took me through each machine giving me a great program to follow. The young male trainers are excellent too. I am 68 and feel like I have a new lease in life. The value is incredible giving seniors 20% off a fortnight. I am so happy I joined this gym as I live a 20+minute drive away but was wrapped to see a gym that caters for all ages. Couldn’t find one close to home that catered for my age. Also love being able to rock up anytime night or day using my free fob.

Suddenly sent an email to uplift the suspension of the account and when requested to cancel still continued to charge saying it is a 30days notice. told wearing hearing aids is unsuitable. No explanation given as to why wearing hearing aids is unsuitable. I was advised that I was being discriminated against by text message from the Membership Advisor rather than in person. At my first Pilates class I didn't wear my hearing aids and mentioned to the instructor that I normally wear them to hear better. The instructor then advised me to wear my hearing aids in order to hear her better next time. Then I received a text the next day saying I was locked out from attending further classes. When I asked at the front desk what was happening the two staff on duty referred me back to the Membership advisor who was unavailable until Monday, after the weekend. The front office staff also said if they try to contacting management on the weekend they are ignored until Monday. When I mentioned the text message advising I was being being blocked from attending further Pilates classes because of my hearing aids they acknowledged that thhey know about that but didn't want to say as it might be hurtful (or maybe they were embarrassed at having to deliver such a message). They also acknowledged that they knew how it felt to feel discriminated against based on their ethnicity. Mixed and confusing messages and discriminatory. After providing my customer feedback and expressing my frustration and hurt by being treated this way, the front office staff became defensive and asked me to leave the premises.. Ironic given the decor of the club is Buddha themed yet they are not true practitioners of compassion in reality. In my career I've learned customer feedback is gold to a firm, that companies pay millions to learn what customers are really experiencing. And to ignore real time customer feedback is folly.

Hampton - This is for their salt room only, not the gym facilities. We were thinking of joining up full gym m'ship x2, tried the salt room as casuals… Read more
first as that was a big part of wanting to join. Tried other salt rooms before and they were "cloudy" with salt dust. We went in and waited... nothing. Fan was on, could hear the salt grinder kicking in (?) but seemed like no salt. Spoke to receptionist after 10 mins and she said it's on and meant to be like that. Air looked crystal clear. There were lights and a laser(?) particle sensor and I didn't see one spec of dust or cloudiness. Put my hand in front of the vent to hopefully catch some salt, tasted it and nothing. So it seems we got a 45 minute massage chair therapy, not salt therapy. Obviously we won't be joining - thank God coz the other reviews here scare us. My partner did see insects on the floor in salt room too. We gave feedback afterwards and the receptionist told us that theirs is not like the other salt rooms. A salt room without salt: what the? Maybe she just didn't want us as members for some reason, or they save the salt for themselves or certain members only, or it's just a tax write-off for their own personal use? Whatever. Lesson learned, look elsewhere.
I do like spa but always full of men please make one for women in side most of women has back pain and disc but always men if not I will leave and concel my membership
Huge gym, but uneasy vibe, not clean and rusting equipment – This is for the Brunswick gym, which is famous all over Australia and beyond for its size and variety of equipment. Theres three huge rooms full of… Read more
equipment, probably the biggest gym I've ever seen, so heaps of stuff on offer you can do. Theres no aerobics or stretching area - this a gym for serious body builders. Posters of impossibly buffed and chiselled dudes and chicks are everywhere, and theres always these huge dudes with arms like tree trunks training there. Famous bodybuilders from the States and elsewhere actually train here when in town. They've also got a boxing ring and supplements shop onsite too.
The problem while there is heaps of machines, a lot of equipment is really old and some of it may be on the verge of not being safe anymore. There is a serious lack of smaller freeweights in the range of 1-10kg, so it makes it really hard to even use this huge variety of equipment. Hygiene and cleanliness is also an issue, the place is really old and lacking maintenance as it is, and the bathrooms get pretty nasty. Its also really cold in winter and hot in summer, using cardio equipment on hot days is unbearable.
Most of all, you really want to consider if the vibe suits you, given the other people training there...to be honest its not really a gym for regular people. Other dudes there claim multiple equipment at the same time and even groups of guys kick you off things of they want it. Also the parking lot and bike racks are next to the Bandidos club house, which doesn't fill you with confidence at all. Some people may not mind it, its up to you how you feel about it.
Direct debit is easy to set up, and you just need 4 weeks notice to stop it, FYI.

July 5th 2019 Update: Fitness centre out of touch
From equipment, dressing room, floor space management. The whole gym needs a massive overall. Music out dated. I feel like im in a retirement place. I have nothing wrong with oldely seniors training but its frustrating when they sleep on the machine and take forever. They need their own gym separate from gym floor. Needs more updated equipment overall needs a new gym. Management in health mate needs to be replaced because they are all abt their bonus and not the people. Membership is why to high, they can't even supply descent equipment to use.
