Costly expense and money that we did not have, as well as months and months without a dishwasher while it was away getting checked! Replacement Haier has also had to be returned faulty after only less than a week of use! Will never buy Haier or FP again!

Problem was cockroaches in panel which was not flagged anywhere in any manual otherwise I would have used baits. Also told could have invalidated my warranty by having cockroaches, but how was I supposed to know? I don't get pest sprayed as have an elderly pet but would have put baits down had I known. ETA for fixing is now March 31 so have not had a machine for an entire month. Not good enough Fisher & Paykel

Automatic water level doesn't fill high enough to clean. You need to manually set it to get the correct water level. Items get so tangled because… Read more

the agitation on most settings is too aggressive, for want of a better word. Due to tangling, items get covered in lint that you need to remove Mix setting agitates prior to water fill to "level" the load. This is useless and often makes the load uneven. We're all quite capable of levelling the load! Most of the cycles are very long. It's not necessary if the washer functions efficiently. The only positives are that it's really quiet and easy to use. This is not much use given the wash quality is poor. This washer replaced our beloved Simpson that died after 20 years! RIP:) I shall forever lament the day the Good Guys salesperson talked us into this piece of junk. Just don't go there. For the record, I tried contacting Haier but you can only send a letter (who does that?), or call. I feel that it's more important to warn people, than have my feedback to a call centre person, go nowhere!

As a single aged pensioner, budget was the overriding factor in my purchase of a new washing machine. My Samsung top loader had served me faithfully… Read more

for 11 years, but one morning it decided not to spin anymore. It had also developed the habit of depositing flakes of gunk on my washing, a problem no amount of tub cleaning could solve. After some online research, I decided on the Haier HWT75AA1 top loader from Appliances Online at $527. There were a couple of negative reviews, but the price and size were right.

There was an initial hiccup after installation. The cold water tap outlet leaked badly and resisted all my attempts to tighten it. A quick call to a relative with the right tools solved that problem.

Now, after a dozen or more loads of washing, my opinion is divided. The electronic controls are easy to use and there are 6 wash options. One annoying omission is the ability to change the agitation time. The only way this can be changed is to select a different wash option. It appears to get the clothes nice and clean, although I have yet to test it on something really grubby.

The spin cycle is extremely noisy at full speed, but in comparison to the Samsung, the clothes come out much drier. Some of the reviews complained about tangled clothes, but to date I have not had this problem (the Samsung was a notorious “tangler”). Having two lint filters in the tub is a definite plus. One criticism on a purely cosmetic level; the Haier water inlets are located on top of the machine and although this may provide easy access, it is just plain ugly. There is a loud noise from hot and cold taps when opening and closing (water hammer) and I did not have this problem with my previous machine.

It’s early days yet, but there are enough good points at present to outweigh the negatives. But I do miss the little tune my Samsung played at the end of the wash cycle (the theme from Schubert’s Trout Symphony). The Haier just beeps 6 times.

We bought this Fridge from Appliances Online. It had a 2 Year Warranty. Even though we SHOULD NOT need to an Extra Warranty (because of Australian… Read more

Consumer Law) we purchased an extra Warranty for three years. Towards the end of the 2 Year Warranty, the fridge stopped. Wiring had broken connecting the front control panel on right door, at hinge point. The wire had been put on too tight. Last week, the light went off, when the fridge door was opened. Strange? My husband turned it off, then back on again. And the light continued working. But - inside started to smell like something had rotted. And the TOP SECTION OF THE FRIDGE IS NOT COOLING. Thank God, THE FREEZER DRAW SECTION IS STILL WORKING (for how long??) I went into the Haier site to complain. Surprisingly, I was told by the Haier Service Agent - and I quote, as follows;- For your model, there is a known issue where the defrost system can cause evaporator icing, leading to a loss of cooling in the fridge section. Haier has issued Field Fix Kit to resolve this, which includes a replacement power board, defrost fuse, and a PE pad, along with instructions to remove any ice buildup. End of quote. We may have to pay for call out, because our Warranties have ended. We are 58 days out of All the Warranties. Is Haier operating a "Planned Obsolescence"? Here is what my husband and I want. We demand to have our fridge replaced. Failing that - as a token of goodwill - we want the Field Fix Kit installed in our fridge - AT NO COST TO OURSELVES. Two Major failures in just over 5 years IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! We were delighted when we first for this Fridge! It absolutely ticked all our boxes. And now, it's just another drain on our life. P.s.If there is a Field Kit, for our fridge, obviously because Many, many others, have had this issue, why didn't Appliances Online contact us, to let us know? Or, do they simply wait until everything in the fridge perishes, we start screaming and THEN the act? Doesn't seem like Good Customer Service either. P.p.s. attached is a photo of our Kelvinator Fridge. Impression Series 300. It's what we're using now to tide us over until the Haier is fixed. How old is our Kelvinator, you may ask? Well, it was part of a pigeon pair when we moved into our house in 1980 - they MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT make White Goods like they used to. *Sigh*

Update;- so Haier will send a tech - at no cost to us - on the 13/01/25.... I think I deserve a New Fridge!! All those in favor raise your hand.

This fridge looked good and worked well for the first 18 months or so before the icemaker stopped producing ice reliably. For a while it would… Read more

randomly produce for a few days and then stop again, but ultimately all it was doing was dumping water into the ice tray which then froze in a solid block. So I arranged for service (thru Fisher & Paykel) and the guy told us that they'd replace the ice maker and circuit board, but if that didn't work, "there was nothing much they could do". So (after a delay while they ordered the parts) they initially replaced the ice maker unit, but that didn't work, so they later replaced the circuit board. That produced immediate results for about a month, but it's again stopped making ice and we can no longer access the fridge controls because it's not possible to turn off the child lock. I suspect the circuit board is faulty. We need an icemaker. I specifically bought the fridge because it's supposed to make ice. The moment I can find a fridge that fits our slot, I will be replacing this thing. It's been disappointing. I will be avoiding Haier as a brand.

on clothes. It got better then started happening again. Cleaning it is a NIGHTMARE, so many little niches that collect dirt and dust. I have to clean filters with a toothbrush and a q tip and they're still not properly clean. The slots that the filters fit in are impossible to clean and around the top is a ridge that collects dirt. I clean my machine with appropriate product on hot monthly as instructed. The filthy filter slot is two weeks since last clean. I do wash heavy work clothes once per week. The good points, it's quiet and spins really well

This has been a very disappointing washing machine. Firstly, it has torn small holes in a number of items of clothing. I can only guess this is from… Read more

the bottom agitator action. Basically had to throw a couple of work shirts away due to these holes presenting an unacceptable appearance.

Secondly, this machine has very poor filtration and leaves small flecks of rotting brown mould or something across a lot of the washing. This is despite rinsing the filters religiously after every wash. When these flicks are wet you cannot scrape them off. They just wipe into the washing when they are dry. They crumble and when they brushed off they just crumble into the washing. It’s a fairly disgusting in the stomach churning experience.

I wish it were easy to return this machine however it is a large washing machine unfortunately, but I will be taking it up with the company.

Cannot recommend the purchase of this item. It is certainly put me off other Haier products.

How am I supposed to manage without a fridge for nearly two weeks? This is unacceptable service. A fridge should be able to handle temporary power outages, and even if issues occur, support should be much faster. I’m incredibly frustrated and would not recommend Haier if this is the level of reliability and customer care they provide.

compromise. Stumbled on the HDW15F4S1 on sale $1999 down to $1457. But wait - it also has a $200 cashback. So it fitted on price.. A wee bit fiddly to install as they now have included a hose that cannot be detached from the dishwasher and has a large anti flood device that must pass through the relevant holes. Took a bit of time, but we did get a confirmation that the washer could be attached to the household hot water tank. Whats in it? Good updated prongy bits that can be folded down to suit and a much nicer set of glassware holders A cutlery basket that can fit anywhere but is a bit cumbersome. The hallowed draw at the top for cutlery. The filter is easy to remove and lock back. Heaps of different wash programmes. Connects to Haiers smart app. And yes it will open the door when the cycle is finished The compromise. We always rinse out dishes and normally use the fastest programme. Our old one would wash in about 15 minutes. This new washer takes some 4 hours on ECO! THe next fastest take 60 minutes. Like the Samsung washing machine the dishwasher manual wont say how many pre wash and rinses go on with the programmes. Information is sparse siting an automatic system that decides for you. I do not like it. The soap dispenser is always wet and needs to be dried before putting powder in. Seems that the only way rinse aid can be adjusted is through the App, but when its done its done. We are happy with its performance on the 60 minute cycle and have not needed to do a different wash We wash at night when power is cheaper and the machine will send you a message at past midnight when its done - switch the messaging off through the App We needed our old cutlery basket for all those non cutlery items - and in the end we thought bugger it lets put all the cutlery in as before. Are we happy with it?:- Yes it does the job and things other than plastics and the tops of cups are pretty dry. Our old one was $324, 13 years ago and the new one NZ$1257. But it does open it door automatically. and we thought best of the bunch at the final price. A MONTH OR TWO DOWN THE TRACK We have got to know the dishwasher better now. We still only use the 60 minute programme which works very well for us. We still use our old cutlery basket, but wait there's more:- The cutlery tray, we have found to be superbe for the longer knives, whisks and flippers various lids This means that the cutlery basket is just used for cutlery - (fork handles down prongs up) and the odd sized items are safely in the top draw. Haier seem to have played with the filter - it is much better to lock on and off and it seems to shoo out more rubbish out of the machine. We found very little to clean out after 4 weeks - mind you we do rinse the dishes first. We load it and set the delay for 11pm when the power rates change, we never hear it in operation and the next morning the door is open and everything is pretty much dry. Have to say the we bought the right one. The 2 year warranty is welcomed and we are very happy with it.
