washing liquid and the clothes come out with residue on them. And also for towels if you do a very small amount of washing liquid and you air dry the towels they come out hard and stiff. I believe this is because I'm either using the wrong cycle or the lack of extra rinse cycle . I would love some advice on how to rectify this . And another thing if you wash 1 or 2 bath mats they don't spin out properly and come out with alot of water still in them.

We built a new home in 2023 and chose the Westinghouse WSF6608KXA dishwasher. Recently, our kitchen circuit breaker kept tripping. After a lot of… Read more

troubleshooting, we discovered that simply opening the dishwasher door would cause the breaker to trip, suggesting a possible electrical leakage fault inside the dishwasher.

I contacted Westinghouse customer service, but since the warranty is only two years and the dishwasher is now about two and a half years old, I was told that I would have to pay a call-out fee for an inspection. More importantly, regardless of whether the issue is ultimately found to be with the dishwasher, I would be responsible for all inspection and repair costs.

I would not recommend this dishwasher. The quality is disappointing, as it failed after only two and a half years of normal use. The issue also appears to involve a potentially serious electrical fault, which raises safety concerns. If this happens after the warranty period, you may end up paying all costs yourself.

years) but have never had one as infuriating as The Westinghouse Easy Care 300. I never thought to look to see that it only takes in cold water. Who would have even thought of that? We have solar hot water but now have to pay to heat water if desired. The length of times of some of the cycles are st>pid long including rinsing with a spin dry. The only redeeming feature is the 15 minute wash that I put my bath mats in as our little dog pees on them. However the worst feature is the unpredictable, temperamental on off place. Sorry, I wrote button but it is just a marking on the front. Nothing, but nothing helps to start this useless machine. I cannot wait for the day I get rid of it but rest assured Westinghouse will not be on my shopping list. Half a star and that is for the 15 min wash.

I had a technician come out today who was very rude and said it was my fault for not balancing the load and putting heavy things in there which I can assure you I’m not. If this machine cannot handle regular clothes and underwear in a load it is not fit for purpose. I think the best place for this machine is my curb. Off to research a new machine from a better brand! Stay away! You might be ok with one of these machine but if something goes wrong it’ll be your fault apparently!

after 4 years, service claims it needs both drain hose and inlet hose replaced (my plumber had previously assessed it and said only drain hose was the issue). Service quotes repair costs of around 50% of machine value and refuses to install it (i.e. plug it back in and put the hose back) after repairs claiming that is a separate service. I would never buy a product from this brand again. Both the build quality of their product and support provided has been miserable. Machine will now sadly go into land fill as I will replace with another brand.

I so wanted to like this machine. Spent half a day looking for a suitable replacement for my 25 year old top loader Fisher & Paykel 8.5 kg Smart… Read more

Drive. Only bought the Westinghouse two days ago and already disappointed. Wish I could return it. So many options on the old Fisher & Paykel I could change just by pressing a button....didn't matter whether it was halfway through a wash and I decided to change wash time, water level, spin time, spin speed and it was done! The quickest wash I can do on the Westinghouse is the 20 min wash. Can only use the low water level, which means don't put too many items in. Used the 45 min cycle this morning and can only use the medium water level...wanted to use the full (High) level as was washing two couch covers. There is the 60 min wash which allows full water level.....I like to get washing done in time that suits me. I have never waited for an hour for washing to finish. If I washed anything by hand and wanted to give it a spin at the end.....no problem with Fisher & Paykel....just go to spin and I could stop the spin cycle anytime to take out what was in there without upsetting the thought process of the machine If you want to use the spin and rinse option by itself on the Westinghouse its 35 min. You cannot change anything in the cycles once its starts chosen wash cycle. So my problem is the features and controls....too computerised, and not having any control to change anything once cycle starts I wish someone would start making something that matches the older machines in regards to the controls. I realise all the new washing machines must be the same...surely there is one out there with more manual controls even if machine is automatic. Also read later in the reviews about lint filter not working....the couch covers I washed this morning always left a lot of lint in the F&P lint collector. Absolutely none in the Westinghouse lint filter. A long Review but had I known how disappointed I would be I would have spent more time researching and hoping to find one a bit more to my liking.

good quality induction cookware. Must be an overly sensitive safety cutoff. Contacted Westinghouse who seemed disinterested. Returned to store for a refund.

Purchased an ikea portable hob and have had no issues which confirmed for me that it wasn’t anything I was doing wrong.

Also, despite the brand name being Westinghouse, this is imported by a distribution company and is not all that closely related to Australian made Westinghouse products. It’s basically a rebranded generic product which is reflected in its poor quality and performance.

select this model. It does have good features of good relatively low temperature control. It has good increments of power/ heating, and a timer that allows increments of a minute. It has frustratingly little capacity to allow one to take off a pot/saucepan to stir without alerting one to having removed the metal from the cooktop.... I'm talking 1 second! But, the thing that makes this a return for reimbursement, is that it overheats too easily. We've had 2. I replaced the first one after 6 months believing it was faulty. But within a few cooks of the repl, the same thing occurs. I'm talking overheating at 800w! It is not possible to cook with this coooktop, without turning it off and on again. Sorry Westinghouse, this is a fail.

with regards to interior lighting and temperature consistency. An issue is that the top mount door needs to be manually closed on occassion because it doesn't like to self close unless from a fully open postion (we don't like it slamming shut all the time as it is heavy enough that it tends to pop open the freezer door momentarliy (which is stated as normal in the intruction manual)). Freezer compartment is well designed. Controls are straightfoward and you don't need any online or AI gimmicks to get it working as per your own preferences (which are basic). Is OK on power as we have not seen any power spikes after changeover from previous fridge.

After a lot of investigating we purchased the Westinghouse model WVE6516SD. I did the installation, my electrician connected and issued a compliance… Read more

certificate for warranty requirements. Albeit the height and level adjustments were a bit finicky I achieved a perfect fit into the cabinet using spacers from Bunnings. The Westinghouse instructions were exceptionally good and overall, installation was easy. The two Westinghouse mounting screws are 20mm long and way too short for chipboard cabinets, with added stress due opening and closing the oven door. Westinghouse, this is penny pinching - the length of these screws should be 30mm.

The oven is exceptionally well insulated and there is no notable rise in room temperature with the oven on. No odd odours or any issues. Build quality is also good - in fact, better than many premium opposition brands.

Unfortunately, there is one huge downside. This oven does not display the current temperature at all. It operates totally blind. Unlike many ovens, this one is all about trust, and little else. We made the fatal mistake by assuming that this basic feature would be standard. We now have to rely on the accuracy of the oven thermostat, and an almost unnoticeable tiny green light that goes off when the set temperature is reached. Sometimes, after baking one may want to put the food back into the oven either to cook more or to reheat. Not knowing what the temperature is, the oven may either be too hot or too cold. So one would have to start all over by resetting the required temperature and wait for the green light to go out. It's the most ridiculous and stupid scenario. Also, one has to stand far back to see the green indicator light. Our perception went from disappointed, to flabbergasted and then disgusted.

Called Westinghouse customer care. Their response was that the "missing" feature was only on their premium models with all the bells and whistles. Well we looked at those and were put off as most of these added "premium " options were nothing but slick marketing. Gimmicky features like a self-cleaning ovens and more. And no difference as far as build quality goes. We have learnt from experience that more often than not, more means less and more for maintenance and replacement costs.

Westinghouse service was really good. Initially, the assistant listened intently and was thorough throughout the conversation, taking notes and a promise of a callback. They did call back and again, the assistant was exceptionally pleasant to deal with. She concurred with my sentiments but couldn't offer any recourse but an apology. Even after I had pointed out that had we known, we would never have purchased this oven. In my opinion, a temperature indicator gauge should be a standard feature, on all ovens - full stop.

Ratings. For customer service: 5 Star. For build quality, reliability and installation instructions: 5 Stars minus 3 Stars for the inadequate fixing screws and the missing temperature indicator gauge.

of either time and temperature or target and actual temperature. Air frier works brilliantly at first attempt with zero learning curve.

To respond to the comments in a negative review below...

1) yes you grill with the door closed... just like every oven i have used for the last 25 years. And??? So you can't use a non oven safe frypan in the oven... this seems like common sense, and if anything a negative comment to make about one's choice of frypan... it is hardly the oven's fault that it gets hot; that's what ovens are supposed to do. If you want a frypan that works in an oven, buy one.

2) it is completely false to say nothing browns in this oven... it's an oven. Food browns if you set it correctly. And there's zero evidence of it being inaccurate in its temperature settings. It works as i expect at temperatures that i have previously used in other ovens. Based on the criticism below, i got out my calibrated thermocouple and checked it... as per the photo below, it is within 3 degrees C of set- point, in less time than the instructions say should be allowed for preheating. This is within 1.5%, which is very, VERY good for a commercial, non-scientific product. In my experience as an engineer buying accurate equipment, things start getting extremely expensive if you want better than the normal commercial level of 2% accuracy. And this is a modestly priced consumer product that's accurate to around 1%. So if a user has a problem with THIS oven performing to their expectations, it is the expectations that are wrong, not the oven.

3) And yes it defaults to a different temperature in different modes, OF COURSE. Thats because you need a higher temperature to do air frying than normal roasting (for example) so it defaults to what's probably going to be a good choice for that mode, and then you adjust from there if you feel it appropriate for what you're cooking. This is intelligent and thoughtful design, not a fault. ...if THAT's the biggest problem, you don't have much to complain about.

I also like that the baking tray does double duty as a drip tray under the air frier shelf. This has the hidden benefit that it isn't costing you storage space in your cupboard when you aren't using it.

on the temp of the cooktop. According to the manual:

"compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam. As you start cooking, the rangehood will automatically turn on then intuitively adjust the fan speed and airflow to match your cooking. How's that for hands-free convenience?"

How is it? Horrible. Constantly changing fan speed when not required. You can empty your pots after finishing cooking, turn rangehood off, put pots back, and it turns fan on again because it's still hot on the cooktop. No steam or fumes anymore, but Westinghouse knows best.

Recommend not getting a matching rangehood.

The induction cooktop completely stopped working in less than a week from installation, potentially due to a problem with a sensor (error code E7).
