tyres and wheel alignment. Worst still they broke 2 of the rim protectors on my Tesla Y, that’s going to cost me about $80 to replace. I usually go to another chain (Jax) but being open Saturday thought I would give them a try, it looks like my partner’s car will be going to Jax Tyres.

check the brakes! I checked oil and it was still old oil in my car! I asked them to turn my service light off and was told they couldn't do that?! Umm ok so I questioned the $1000 and they say its that expensive because they come to you lol. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I was considering buying. Unfortunately, during the inspection, the vehicle was externally damaged.

RedBook Inspect did acknowledge responsibility for the damage and agreed to cover the cost of repairing the vehicle, which I appreciate. However, my experience with the handling of the claim afterwards has been extremely disappointing.

I was asked to obtain quotes for a hire vehicle while the repair process was being organised. After providing the requested information, I was later advised that my claim for hire vehicle costs would be refused. This means that, despite RedBook Inspect accepting responsibility for causing the damage, I would be left out of pocket for the cost of alternative transport during the estimated four-day repair period.

I believe this is an important consideration for anyone booking a vehicle inspection. A vehicle inspection is intended to provide confidence and peace of mind, but if damage occurs during the inspection process, customers should be aware that the company’s responsibility may be limited to the direct repair costs only.

I would encourage anyone considering using this company to carefully read the terms and conditions before booking an inspection. Although the company may cover the cost of repairing damage they cause, there may be limitations around other losses or expenses that occur as a result.

I would also suggest that anyone selling a vehicle carefully considers whether they are comfortable having their vehicle inspected by this company. A vehicle inspection should provide confidence to both buyers and sellers, and damage occurring during an inspection can create a very stressful situation for everyone involved.

Another concern was that RedBook Inspect did not handle the matter through insurance, meaning I was required to deal directly with the company rather than through an insurance process. This left me navigating the consequences of an incident that was not my fault.

Overall, while I acknowledge that RedBook Inspect accepted responsibility for the physical damage, the way the claim has been managed afterwards has left me disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not choose to use this service again and would recommend others carefully consider the potential risks before booking an inspection.

worker told me that someone had already fixed the crack previously. It was done recently and it was most likely that I'd just noticed it, instead of it getting bigger. He said in his oppinion the work was done very well and he did not need to do anything. He insisted on not touching it. He could've easily asked me to come back and taken my money but he didn't. If the window cracks in future and I believe the above is not longer true, I will remove this review. So if you are reading this, the honesty of this company still stands, and is of high integrity. I highly recommend.

Their reply: 'nah, like we said, mate, give 'em a call on da fone.' MyCar, HO and Nowra store have zero-service score with me. Beware of the claims - they don't care.

however, my own experience was completely different. From the beginning, the customer service was very poor, and even basic interactions with the receptionist made me feel unwelcome. My vehicle was with them for approximately eight months. I handed my car over in November 2025, and it was only returned in mid-June 2026. The repairs took far longer than expected. The panel beating work alone took around three months. When the car was returned, I found that the rear indicator lights had not been repaired correctly — my original LED lights had been replaced with standard lights. After raising the issue, they eventually corrected this. There were also issues with my vehicle’s air conditioning system, which stopped working after the accident repairs. Despite my concerns that this occurred during the repair process, the business did not accept responsibility. I had to arrange and pay for repairs separately through another auto-electrician. The reverse camera was also not repaired properly. They initially ordered an incorrect replacement from overseas and later determined that an aftermarket camera was required. After several follow-ups and complaints, the issue was eventually resolved. Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful experience. The lengthy repair time, communication issues, and multiple problems with the completed work have left me with little confidence in this business. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this smash repairer. The lesson is don’t always trust the reviews.

Fortunately I called the Goodyear tyre dealer in Strathalbyn and talked with Garrick who provided the best customer service I’ve ever had. He listened to my problem and then sourced an appropriate replacement tyre and organised a courier service to deliver it 40kms to Goolwa. He also called later in the day to make sure that everything was ok and my car was now functional again. I highly recommend this business for its brilliant caring and professional customer service.
