and avoidant that nothing is worth that much. You're better off going to a panel beater and paying $200 for one small collection of issues. Also your dealership will not take responsibility and act like they don't know you. They will not honour multiple issues and they do not have a fixed location. If you're anything rural/out of the CBD, you will not be heard by their team.

I was considering buying. Unfortunately, during the inspection, the vehicle was externally damaged.
RedBook Inspect did acknowledge responsibility for the damage and agreed to cover the cost of repairing the vehicle, which I appreciate. However, my experience with the handling of the claim afterwards has been extremely disappointing.
I was asked to obtain quotes for a hire vehicle while the repair process was being organised. After providing the requested information, I was later advised that my claim for hire vehicle costs would be refused. This means that, despite RedBook Inspect accepting responsibility for causing the damage, I would be left out of pocket for the cost of alternative transport during the estimated four-day repair period.
I believe this is an important consideration for anyone booking a vehicle inspection. A vehicle inspection is intended to provide confidence and peace of mind, but if damage occurs during the inspection process, customers should be aware that the company’s responsibility may be limited to the direct repair costs only.
I would encourage anyone considering using this company to carefully read the terms and conditions before booking an inspection. Although the company may cover the cost of repairing damage they cause, there may be limitations around other losses or expenses that occur as a result.
I would also suggest that anyone selling a vehicle carefully considers whether they are comfortable having their vehicle inspected by this company. A vehicle inspection should provide confidence to both buyers and sellers, and damage occurring during an inspection can create a very stressful situation for everyone involved.
Another concern was that RedBook Inspect did not handle the matter through insurance, meaning I was required to deal directly with the company rather than through an insurance process. This left me navigating the consequences of an incident that was not my fault.
Overall, while I acknowledge that RedBook Inspect accepted responsibility for the physical damage, the way the claim has been managed afterwards has left me disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not choose to use this service again and would recommend others carefully consider the potential risks before booking an inspection.

worker told me that someone had already fixed the crack previously. It was done recently and it was most likely that I'd just noticed it, instead of it getting bigger. He said in his oppinion the work was done very well and he did not need to do anything. He insisted on not touching it. He could've easily asked me to come back and taken my money but he didn't. If the window cracks in future and I believe the above is not longer true, I will remove this review. So if you are reading this, the honesty of this company still stands, and is of high integrity. Their reply: 'nah, like we said, mate, give 'em a call on da fone.' MyCar, HO and Nowra store have zero-service score with me. Beware of the claims - they don't care.

He listened to my problem and then sourced an appropriate replacement tyre and organised a courier service to deliver it 40kms to Goolwa. vehicle was located in Perth and I am based in Melbourne, so I relied on the report before deciding to proceed.
After the vehicle arrived, several items appeared to differ from the report. The air conditioning was marked as operational, however it was not blowing cold air. The 12V battery was marked as passed, however BMW later advised it failed their test. I had also asked about the butterfly-style doors, and when the vehicle arrived, they did not stay up properly.
The vehicle was later inspected by BMW and a number of repairs were identified. I contacted CarInspect through their website, email, and phone to raise my concerns, but I did not receive a response.
Based on my experience, I was disappointed with the inspection and the lack of aftercare.

Programme (free first 6 months). In last 2 years wait times for service have ballooned here in Perth. I was offered a six week wait. However i was told that If I join the Rewards Programme I would be prioritised to the front of the cancellation list. ie I was marketed the programme two years ago with much better service provision than prevails today and now existing customers like me are being asked to pay more to re establish service levels at closer to those when I bought the policy and apparently are de-prioritising me ahead of others should they take out the payable rewards programme.

never occur due to the likely danger with loss of control, safe guarded by a split pin for that reason. Terrifying event, and worse to think what could have happened. So my wife and daughter were stranded in remote area. Pedders replaced the control arm and ball joint. Advised on pickup that the noise I would hear was due to front shockers being more pronounced. I followed their advice and replaced them. Completely unnecessarily. No - the noise was a stripped thread and loose new ball joint not put in properly. Took it back in and was reassured it had been removed, checked, refitted and tightened. Days later catastrophic failure. Add that onto attempts to "upsell" the work that needed doing, advised on their assessment that both sides needed doing when the other side had been done only months prior. Damage to car, >$1k out of pocket, massive inconvenience, stranded in remote area and lives endangered from sheer incompetent negligence. Absolutely inexcusable and unbelievable.

Brake comments.
No scoring or wear lips on disc brake rotors.
Rear brake pads low-suggest replace at next service.
Estimate Of Brake Pads Remaining
Passenger front
Approximately 60% remaining.
Drivers front
Approximately 60% remaining.
Passenger rear
Approximately 30% remaining. Drivers rear Approximately 30% remaining."
Rear brake rotors, rear brake pads, and front brake pads with sensor had to be changed a few weeks after purchasing so this is just one example of the report's error.
Loss of power and start/ stop issues:
I acknowledge that there might not have been any OBD codes then if cleared by the dealer beforehand but don't expect these guys to do further checks. My car is still having loss of power issues few months in.
Coolant bottle also had a leak which was also not identified along with other leaks.
